Dont stay in room `V` as the pumphouse of the swimming pool is situated very close by and the noise would drive you insane.Luckily I was there for my mates wedding which was held at lindian village and spent two nights there, which made it harder to go back to the drone of... more

We arrived in the middle of the night and were taken through the dark alleys upto our appartment set against a back drop of mountains. The room was extremely basic, and although kept relatively clean, we had massive problems with lizards, ants and giant spiders in our room.... more

We arrived during the night and when we opened the window in the morning the view from the room stunned me. It was a few years ago now and I hope it has not become too overdeveloped around this spot because it was the perfect place for a poolside R&R holiday. If you are... more

We arrived at our apartments in the early hours of the morning. I’ve got to say that on first impression I was disappointed, although I think this was due to the travelling. I had read some reviews on this apartment which were favourable. In my opinion these apartments... more

Excellent food..shame about the service
Just got back from a fortnight in Pefkos and ate in the Coralli restaurant about 5 times, although didnt stay there. The food is excellent, freshly cooked and the best Greek food I tasted all fortnight. The waiters are very friendly but had a tendancy to lark about instead of looking after the customers, fine for a short while, but it just got a bit tiresome. I think that they were probably all on 'wind-down' as its nearing the end of the season, and a bit de-mob happy. Dont get me wrong, I would recommend it, and wouldnt hesitate to eat there again, but felt they just let themselves down by being unprofessional occasionally.
Great budget holiday
Having generally stayed in higher star rating accommodation, we were initially dubious about staying in European 2 star accommodation, but having read some of the reviews on the Coralli we decided to book a 2-week holiday there. As per the other reviews, the accommodation was basic, but clean and perfectly acceptable (providing you don’t intend to do much/any cooking in the room). Towels and sheets were changed regularly and the staff were really friendly. Attention to detail could be improved i.e. missing wall lamp covers, bulbs and some parasol covers by the pool, but none of these detracted from the enjoyment of the holiday. The pool area was clean and pleasant and the local beach (not the main Pefkos or Plakia beaches) was literally a 30 second walk away. Air conditioning is an extra and we paid 90 euros for 2 weeks. Be aware that if you arrive late on your first night, you will not be able to arrange air con until the following morning. (We arrived during a heat wave and found it almost impossible to sleep in the stifling 45 deg heat on our first night!). We stayed in the apartments below the pool, but there are also apartments just across the road belonging to the Coralli as well. The Coralli apartments are approx. 10-minute walk from Pefkos village centre (no hills), where there are numerous bars and restaurants. However, we found the Coralli food, choice, quality and price to be very good. In summary, we had a really good holiday and would recommend the Coralli to anyone looking for a budget holiday.
Corralli stay was excellant.
We visited the Corralli in late June and stayed in the annexxe over the road. Next time we visit we will try and book an appartment under the swimming pool. The views are breath taking across the sea and over to Lardos. The hotel is situated 10 to 15 minutes walk from Pefkos. Pefkos was ok but Lindos which is a taxi ride away for 6 euros is just stunning. Lots of rooftop garden bars and restaurants and shops. All over looked by the Acropolis. I would also recommend you go on the glass bottom boat from Lindos. We hired a mopeds for 3 days (60 euros) and did a tour on them. I dont recommend doing this unless you are a seasoned rider the locals way of driving is a bit differant to the way we drive. Rhodes town and Prasonissi are well worth a visit. We also went to the water park at Falaraki which was fun. We also hired a boat from Pefkos for an hour that was brilliant. The staff at the Corralli are very friendly and lots of fun. The restaurant is excellent and the food is the best you will eat. The appartments are basic but very clean. Towels and sheets were changed often. The swimming pool is a good size. The beech and sea are good. I could carry on day raving about the Corralli but i wont I will just say we had a good 2 weeks holiday there, didn't want to go home and will go back and highly recommend you try it we loved it.
Coralli - Highly Recommended
We have been to Rhodes five times and this year will be our third time staying at the Coralli. Food is excellent and good value for money. Staff are all very hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Ideal for couples of all ages, looking for a relaxing holiday with nice people and pleasant surroundings. The rooms are basic but clean and we had an iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. Had to have air conditioning though and this is a bit pricey but worth it. Rhodes is a lovely island and it is well worth renting a car for a few days although shop around - prices vary. Try to get to Sienna in the mountains, especially if your looking to cool down a little and sample the local fire water. The Coralli is not for those looking for 5* luxury, but we love it.
Excellent holiday, good value for money, will be back
Stayed at Coralli apartments in Pefkos from 27 June for two weeks. Our fourth visit to the island (previously stayed the last two years in the lap of luxury in Kolymbia Atlantica Imperial hotel where we married 2 years ago and returned their for our first anniversary). This was our second holiday to Pefkos but first time to stay at the Coralli. My husband and I knew before our visit from various reviews that the accommodation was basic but had received positive reviews. A holiday came up at a good price so we thought why not give it a try. We were glad we did. We were fortunate enough to be allocated one of the apartments on the seafront underneath the pool looking out to sea. The apartments were basic but clean and we were delighted with the position of our room. Our room came with kettle, toaster, hairdryer, iron and ironing board + an airer. Most mornings we would have breakfast out on our little terrace looking out to sea and then again in the evening we would sit outside looking across the bay towards Lardos before we head out. The position of this complex was ideal for us, in a peaceful position away from the main part of the village but only a 7-8 minute stroll away. The pool was a good size for the complex and there were enough sunbeds with mattresses for everyone. Its worth going to the little beach though in front of the apartments for a swim, the water is crystal clear and there's a rocky area where we saw several people snorkelling. Now onto the Coralli staff and restaurant, the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. They have the largest menu I have seen in Pefkos or anywhere come to think of it. They serve everthing you could think of from many variations of traditional Greek dishes, many fish dishes/platters, seafood dishes, steaks, lamb/beef dishes, the list is endless. All at competitive prices and served in huge portions. The food was wonderful and so tasty. We especially recommend the seafood platter for 2, seafood spaghetti, lamb kleftiko and beef in clay pot. Plaki dish was also excellent. They also offer many snacks suitable for lunchtimes and serve an excellent English cooked breakfast for when the mood takes you. They have a full bar and a large cocktail menu and will keep the bar open until the last one goes to bed! We hired a car for 3 days and visited various parts of the island, Prasonissi, drove up the west coast past the Monolithos (lovely views), up to Rhodes Town where we stopped for something to eat in the old town. We also went to Tsambika beach one day (lovely beach with watersports facilities for those that want it) then Kalithea Spa another day where we swam in the beautiful clear water (steps built into the rocks to allow you to go into the sea). We went to Lindos one night (overrated if you ask me) and Kolymbia another night to see some people who run a bar there whom we've got to know the last couple of years. Pefkos itself we really like, a little too English but has a lovely selection of restaurants and quite a few bars popping up now. One of the restaurants we really liked was Hellas but the main one for me has to be Philosophia where my husband took us for our anniversary. By day its a little beach bar above Pefkos main beach but by night it takes on a totally different atmosphere. We had a lovely table looking out to sea watching the sun set. The food was gorgeous, a little more expensive than the restaurants in Pefkos itself but it was worth it. The service was very attentive, they were playing music softly and it was a very quiet relaxing setting and there were only a few tables so it felt so much more personal. Just while I remember, its worth a visit to Pefkos bakery where they have very tasty cakes and Pefkos beach is lovely, clean and sandy with beautiful clear water and also worth a visit. All in all an excellent holiday, gorgeous weather (heat wave whilst we were there - very, very hot), very good apartments for basic Greek accommodation in a brilliant position for us, excellent restaurant and lovely people. We really like the Greeks, they are so friendly. We will be back. If you've read all this review, I'm impressed, I could go on but I think I shall stop here.
Good and Bad Coralli
The Coralli is a lovely hotel, right on the sea, nice pool, shop on your door step........ If its your first time here tho be prepared to be ignored because the staff are only really interested in the people that have been going back for years. The shop sells broken toys and wont give you a refund so don't bother buying any toys for kids or you'll have a heartbroken 4 year old nephew like mine! The food in my opinion is nice but not the nicest in Rhodes ..... the service is so slow its almost backwards but again if you've been there a few times before your service will be lightening speed! It is a gorgeous hotel but I wont be going back anytime soon to be treated like an outsider!
Snorkelling was fab!!! 1 Week holiday Sep 06
I always read these reviews but never write any so I thought I would take the time to most something!!! The Coralli hotel is a perfect place for couples the staff are very friendly ...sometimes a little too relaxed typically greek!!!! Rooms were clean tidy and comfortable the beach was approx 2min walk to the beach, we often got up in the morning with our snorkel kits and wandered down to the beach before breakfast for a quick swim I loved it.. although we have vowed to never go to the same place twice we couldnt resist and now going back for 2 weeks in August!! Cant wait. Food ws fab as is all the restaurants in Pefkos I was surprised after reading all reviews saying pefkos is small and nothing much to do I was worried it would only have 2 restaurants but this i snot the case there is a glass bottom boat trip from pefkos and numerous trips (Rhodes Town) is na absolute MUST it is beautiful!!! NEGATIVE The only bad thing I could possible say is that our room was under the swimming pool which was a little noisy at night although havign said that my boyfriend disagreed and slept all through .....!!!
Best Food in Rhodes!!
The Coralli is a place to go for people who enjoy great food-best in rhodes so much so it wastes you from eating out in other places!!- great location, just 5 minutes walk from pefkos and friendly staff who are the life and soul of the place. Yes the rooms are basic, but clean, and this is greece where most places are similiar so if you want 4/5 star luxury then go to another country or pay big bucks in the large complexes. However if you go on holiday to socialise, be spoilt, relax and generally have 2 weeks out of the ratrace then this is your place. Tsambika is a hostess who will look after your every whim to try and make your holiday the best ever and her staff always seem to be working and can advise you on what is probably the most extensive greek quisine menu you will find, with plenty of "village dishes". Be warned your waist size WILL get larger on a 2 week stays here, as the portions are large but at a modest price. The coralli sits on the coast with the scarcely used beach yards away. It is ideal for snorkelling and sunbathing with another local beach 150 metres away with small cafe. The beauty of the coralli is the atmosphere generated in the place. Yes it can be boisterous with children enjoying themselves at the pool but remember its the parents who should be supervising them and looking after other guests. I know this is an alian concept for some!! Have Been 3 years running after getting a late deal first time up, and they remembered every detail of me and my family the second time there!! No false gestures but genuine sincerety. They even took us in the 2nd time we visited for a meal as our pre booked accomodation in lardos turned out to be a nightmare and didnt charge us a penny for 10 days stay. Yeah so maybe i am bias but that was a first in over 20 years going abroad, meeting that kind of hospitality. Will be back in 2007 if i can get booked. It is the same folk returning!! That tells the real story . Oh and pefkos is a real throwback to europe 10-15 years ago with great tavernas although other folk are catching on. Must visit prassanisi, where the seas meet and well the waiters told me where the beaches are that the locals go to. But that as they say is local knowledge!!
Best food on the island!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Coralli for one week in May last year. We loved it! We got a bargain late deal so to be honest we were'nt expecting much and I for one was prepared for the worst, but I must say I can't fault the Coralli . The apartments do exactly what they say on the tin...theyre basic but very clean and have everything in them that you need for a SC stay. They're located a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from the main town of Pefkos and there are no hills or anything to worry about unless you take a walk down to the main beach which we did a couple of times but even that wasn't a steep walk and it took 15 mins tops. There's a small shingle beach at the front of the hotel if you fancy a dip in the sea but it was too uncomfortable to try and lie there for more than 30 mins. What we were most impressed with though, has to be the food at the restaurant. There's so much to choose from and everything is delicious especially the Stifado! We ventured into town a few nights for dinner but even though the food was nice, it didn't compare to the Coralli. We met people who had come from all over the island just to eat there because they'd heard it was really good authentic greek food. All the waiters were funny and friendly. The place is always busy but the service wasn't ever slow or rushed. During the day there's a pool bar that serves all basic snacks like burgers etc and you can have some cocktails to sip by the pool. And there's a small supermarket next door and one across the street. The view from the Coralli right across the bay is fantastic. Our balcony had a fab view and it was great to sit there on an evening with a beer and a good book! Even though we went at the beginning of the season there was a great atmosphere at the apartments and in Pefkos itself. We're going back to Pefkos this year but we won't be staying at the Coralli. We considered it but in the end, even though we loved it we thought we'd try somewhere new because we didn't want to be comparing this years holiday to last years! I'm sure we'll pop down for dinner though!
Coralli - Superb
We went to the coralli apartments on a self catering basis but with no intention of cooking for ourselves as we ate out every night. the coralli has a restaurant bar and pool area witch is very clean and the menu is so extensive. We decided that as the restaurant was pretty full every night we would leave it until our last night to eat there what a mistake we should have ate there every night there is at least 200 items on the menu from snacks right through to home cooked traditional greek dishes. We did eat during the day (mainly snacks) but again freshly cooked. The staff couldn't do enough for us and people flocked from every where to eat there. Well you get the idea about the food enough said. The bar was a really good laugh on a night, all the guests were friendly and chatting together, met one couple on their 11th visit, that kind of sums up how good the coralli is - hello Fran & John! The rooms were cleaned daily and sheets and towels were changed every other day. Don't go there expecting the hilton the apartments are very basic but what do you need to get your head down, we were lucky and were given a two bedroom apartment, but each bedroom was massive, 2 beds, triple wardrobe and one room also had a sofa, the other a fridge! The kitchen was compact but had two cooking rings and all utensils for those that would want to cook (why?!), the supermarket was well stocked with goodies and offered very wide range of fresh fruit and veg, also another supermarket right next door and then poppy's down the road to the main drag which was also well stocked and opened late for our toilet roll stops on the way home, the staff there were very friendly - typical of most in pefkos. Pefkos itself offers a good variety of restaurants and bars and is a very relaxing place. We hired a car for 3 days for 50 euro's yes 50 and we saw almost the whole island the water park at faliraki is the mutts @*%& and prosinassi beach on the south of the is worth half a day and lindos is a lovely place rhodes old town is very nice to with lots of shops bars and restaurants if you want souveniers then shop around in rhodes and you will save money. We have been to greece previously (kos) and found the place a little dirty (we really arent picky - we still enjoyed Kos) however pefkos and everywhere we visited in rhodes, was spotless, especially toilets for the ladies :-) even one in lindos which had rotating cling film over the seat to keep seat clean - very impressed - that was Maria's bar, recommend by my mam, food was top notch and reasonably priced - very child friendly too - no screaming kids though which is what we like as we were out for a relaxing evening. Overall a fantastic holiday and we will be returning next year to get married and the reception will be at the corrali reastaurant. (Hull)
