Morgane Hotel

We stayed at Le Morgane from 9-11 May 2008. Hotel is in line with other reviews - very modern, nice location etc...Rooms are stylish modern with a nice feel, clean and big...we stayed in one of the superior rooms in off season (E$180/night) which is on the high side of our price range but the location is excellent being close to the Aguille de Midi chair lift, close to the middle of town and looks onto a little vegetable garden of someones house next door (with a brown cat who looks like he owns the place). Just back from an great weekend skiing break in Chamonix at Le Morgane. I knew the hotel had been totally refurbished and hoped it would be good. It was excellent! The finish of the hotel is modern but very stylish and the staff are so helpful. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left they couldn't do enough for us. We stayed at le Morgane for two nights in early June. Our room was very clean, bright, and cheerful. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. The beakfast buffet included in our rate (120 Euros) was quite good. Free parking too. There were a few slightly cheaper hotels on the main walking street, but I can not imagine that they were as nice. The main walking street (I can't remember the name) is just two short blocks away. Stayed at the Morgane for 4 nights at end August. Loved it. Very good standard. Breakfast an informal affair, buffet style. Very much what we enjoy, good standard without being formal or intrusive. Location great, centre of village and ideal for Aguille de Midi lift. Reception staff friendly and knowledgeable.

We spent a week in le Morgane recently. The location was good and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were about average and were not air conditioned. Since we were there during a heat wave I was a little concerned abot the lack of A/C, but we kept our balcony door open at night and we were fine. Our room overlooked the river and the sound probably helped us sleep. There's free parking on site, which was great. I think I'll be staying there again on my next visit.

THis hotel is good for a ski trip, active holiday where you need a clean, conveniently located hotel. This hotel is steps away from the cable car to the top of the mountain and around the corner from what i believe was the main walking, shopping, eating area of the city. This is not a place to go to be pampered. the rooms are functional, not luxurious and the hotel is not intended to be a spa experience. I would go back
