Jul 2006, Miss T Stevenson

My partner and I stayed at the Eleni Apartments in Sidari for one week. When you arrive at the resort there are other Eleni Apartments across the road from the ones pictured. Imagine our disappointment when we found out we were staying there. They are nowhere as nice as the ones pictured online -or as other holiday makers found out - not the ones the travel agent showed them!
The apartments we stayed in were very basic. Toilet roll was available to buy at the reception area. The staff were friendly and I can’t fault them in their helpfulness.
Value for money was poor. There were a few facts that the rep got wrong. The pickup coach to the airport was an hour late and we had to stand at the side of a death road to wait as the apartments were off the main road.
We had a good holiday - but really that was nothing to do with Libra Holidays.

I went as a couple also, and I believed the Eleni Apartments was one of the most pleasant and friendly places I had ever stayed.
The whole family was fantastic! And extremely polite, and would always go out their way to make your stay as perfect as they could. The young daughter even though only 4 years old spoke good English and really lightened up the place, and she even bought me and my partner a drink! The food I thought was amazing, and at a reasonable price too. Jim's homemade brownies are simply amazing, as well as the meatball subs! The whole family chip in to cook, which they are all very good cooks.
The apartments are typical of Greek apartments, but are very well maintained and cleaned almost everyday. The apartments are re-painted every year, so the place always looks spick and span. The pool was a very good size and was kept perfectly clean (cleaned every night i was there!)
Sidari itself is a brilliant resort with many bars, restaurants and shops to easily keep anyone content. I would recommend though speaking to a guy in the Sidari town for booking excursions, as Thomson really do overprice their days out.
Overall the holiday was the best I’d had, and will definitely go back to the Eleni Apartments in the near future.

Travelled as a couple to Sidari and had a fantastic time, cannot understand the comments below as the staff at this family run hotel were incredibly nice people, very friendly and looked after us very well, even giving us free drinks for keeping their 4 year old daughter entertained.
The apartments were very clean and tidy for 3 star rating, around 30 rooms. The pool is large and also very clean with more than enough sunbeds to go around.
The resort itself is very touristy, everybody seems to speak good English, the centre of town is around a 10 - 15 min stroll away but there are other restaurants on the way most of which are very nice with the owners particularly friendly. There are also many bars to choose from along the way.
The beach is ok but nothing special, we enjoyed our days by the pool and were more than happy there and on the occasional day trip/boat trip (not booked through Thomson’s who overcharge substantially) of which there are many to choose from.
Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would be more than happy to return again in the future. Recommended for couples and families.

A family run complex mainly run by the son, Spiros. Basic rooms but Spiros bends over backwards to fulfil your needs. The complex is cleaned daily & Spiros takes great pride in his spotless pool.
Drinks are served in the pool bar all day if not your 2 mins away from the nearest bar. If having a night flight Spiros keeps the bar open until your coach arrives. I highly recommend Eleni to anyone, I’ve been twice in 05 and am looking at going in 06. Its the friendliest place I’ve been to.

Sep 2005, Mr T Khan

I have travelled all over the world, and can honestly say that these are the worst apartments I have ever stayed at ( the reasons for this are as follows , the owners were very rude , apart from the father, but the son and the mother who run things are not nice people, out of 50 people who stayed there I would say that 45 had the same view. I know it states that the accommodation is basic, but it's only when you get there you realise how basic. Several people had disputes with the owners ( we didn’t) but there rudeness is sometimes beyond belief .
The pool is very clean
The bar is very expensive, and the food, well lets say you had a dog , you would have to think twice on if you would feed them the slop that we were served.
Sidari has changed so much. There is a constant smell of sewers all over.
And the locals informed us that tourism is down by 45% it's not hard to see why
We toured the whole island, and there are some lovely places (just not in Sidari).
In closing think very carefully b4 you book to come here.
And for the record I have never written a review before, but I felt that people have a right to know (just wish that I had checked some before I went)... Take care.

Sidari in September is great because its not too crowded and the weather is still sunny and hot without being unbearable. Sidari has a lot of bars and restaurants to cater for all sorts of people. It is very tourist friendly in this aspect and everyone speaks English so you needn’t worry about a language barrier. Eleni apartments have a great pool, clean facilities and are in a handy location. Staff aren’t as friendly as you would like though.
The only reason I didn’t give this a ten out of ten was because Sidari beach was a bit of a let down, but if you have a nice swimming pool and you hire a quad bike to drive down the coast to nicer beaches then its not a problem.
Sidari has happening nightlife with fun friendly bars (Calypso and Shaker’s were my favourites!) and a club called Caesar’s which is open until dawn. You can be young, old, in a group or as a couple and I'm sure you would find enjoyment within this holiday resort!

The hotel was faultless with a wonderful pool and amazingly friendly staff and other guests. As it was family run there was a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. The area was ok but the beach was very far to walk and the main shops bars etc. Was a walk away down a main road.
