Truly amazing.
The cabins are yet to be established but not for long. They are situated in between the west and east side of Ruka on the Maston slopes you can ski/board to your door.
The little cluster of cabins are situated around a ski/board waxing room small car park and rubbish house.
The cabins:
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 downstairs, 1 upstairs in the 'attic', all doubles with your own wardrobe etc. You had a huge lockable storage for your equipment and a wood shed out side.
You then entered your cabin, by pin number so no keys, yippee! There was a huge drying area on entering the cabin for your wet clothes and a wardrobe 'style' item after this for your jackets gloves etc.
You then had a small separate toilet and a huge wet room with double shower sauna toilet and washing machine.
In the 'living room' it was more a living room/kitchen dinner but with tonnes of space. The kitchens was packed with gadgets, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer you name it was there.
Then there was a table for 6 , TV in the corner and a corner settee which turned in to a bed, there was also a large log burning stove in the other corner.
Ski bus right outside and it only took 3-5 minuets to the Ruka town and less to the east side.
On arrival the cabin is stocked with dishwasher tablets, washing powder, toilet rolls etc. You need nothing if you're travelling with small children, the cabins have highchairs and cots in with out asking.
I could go on forever, the country was fantastic out of this world. We will be returning soon. Remember though, it's cold!
I would give this holiday 10/10, most certainly 5 star, been to the Maldives, I do know what 5 star is.
