Moon Palace Resort Hotel

My wife and I got married in the Moon Palace Golf Resort in December 2005 and we had the most fantastic time.
The staff were superb and could not do enough for us and there was a lot of choice of restaurants for each night of our stay.
Also I must add that I have never stayed anywhere quite so clean in all my life.
The swimming pool was fantastic and the only minor downfall was the fact that you couldn't really swim in the sea due to the seaweed but to be honest we didn't really miss it as we spent most of our time by the pool or on excursions.
Cancun as a place is fantastic to, with so much to do. We swam with dolphin, went to an Ancient city, visited a crocodile zoo, when on a speedboat/snorkelling trip, an eco park and a fantastic outdoor swimming pool place called Wet and Wild and we didn't do everything!!
We also went into Cancun itself and went to the beach and visited the shops etc which was also very good.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and my wife and I will be going back there in the future.

The Moon Palace hotel was a magical place. We had a wonderful honeymoon.
The hotel was more than we expected, the food great, the drinks great, the staff great. We were waited on hand and foot didn’t have to lift a finger...
The only thing that spoilt the holiday was the flight, going out not to bad, but coming home the crew were the most unhelpful people I have come across on a 9 hour flight.
Only 1 bar service throughout, I needed to take medication, asked for some water totally ignored had light on for about 1 hour before I got a glass of water, only to be told that I should have got it from the toilets, (I’m not fussy but didn’t really fancy drinking water from the toilets.
On the whole we had a fantastic holiday, the Moon Palace is brilliant along with the staff can’t wait to go back.

Well what can I say the best holiday ever. I went to the moon palace with my husband in May 2006 for our honeymoon and we could not of picked a better place. The hotel was fantastic.
The staff were fantastic and could not do enough for you, we felt like royalty. This was a perfect ending to our wedding. It is worth every penny. All I can say is you have to stay there to understand how fantastic and luxurious it is. Can’t wait to go back.
ps the flight upgrade with first choice is also well worth booking

The Moon Palace hotel is fantastic, pure luxury. Highly recommend a stay at Moon Palace.
My husband and I went for two weeks for our honeymoon; as soon as the coach pulled into the drive, we knew our stay was going to be amazing.
Moon Palace and all its staff ensured we had a fabulous honeymoon and we have recommended the hotel to everyone we know.
The rooms are all large, bright and clean, the Jacuzzi is great! We stayed on the Sunrise side of the hotel but still split our time equally between there and the Nizuc side.
We stayed at the hotel in September and it was lovely and quiet, we were informed that the hotel was only 30% full, which was wonderful for us as it meant lots of space and privacy.
Overall, the Moon Palace is a wonderful hotel and we will definitely be back for an anniversary celebration!

Well I am going to be slightly biased on this review, as I got married in the hotel.
The hotel is massive - to the point of the first day it being slightly daunting.
The pool is amazing, the staff so helpful and the food is so yummy.
We went for 10 days and I can highly recommend going on a day trip to swim with the dolphins at Isla Mejure (not sure on spelling) - the day was fab, the enclosure is in the sea not in a tiny swimming pool.
Shopping fab.. especially La Isla - great for rings.
If you have an opportunity to go and you want a jacuzzi in your bedroom which you can sit in and watch the sun go down - this is definitely the place for you!

The Moon Palace is an amazing hotel - the private beach means no 'over-crowding'.
The setting is perfect for a romantic getaway and to top it off the wedding facility is out of this world!
I would recommend that you go to this hotel, the staff can not do enough for you and are always available if you need anything.
The food was awesome and such a range, meant that even my selective wife ate for the whole 10 days!
I liked that fact you can change travellers cheques in the hotel, meaning you don't have to travel into town to locate a bureau de change.
Overall I would give this experience 10/10.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Fun and activities for the entire family. The food fantastic, the staff were so helpful it was astounding. I could have stayed forever. From the minute you walk off the coach you are looked after.
The only way to believe this place is to experience it first hand, a few of our friends have been there and I could not believe what they were saying, I thought no where can be that good but hence I was proved wrong. Worth every penny!
This is not a cheap holiday but like I said well worth it. Would recommend to anyone. The only problems were the flights etc with Thompson, I would not recommend them with anyone if I am honest. Our reps on site were fantastic but elsewhere, far from impressed.

What a fantastic holiday we had at moon palace. We got married there and also took 13 members of our family. From the moment we arrived to the day we left everything was fantastic. The rooms were very very clean and around the hotel was always looked after the staff were all friendly and willing to help as best they could. We never saw an unhappy member of staff. The food was out of this world they catered for everybody’s needs.
my wedding day was the best time off my life and it was made more special by being at the moon palace and the sister hotels were you also get all inclusive use were great hotels. Also had very friendly staff and were always willing to have a laugh with you.
The holiday overall was 100/10 we have been going abroad for 8 years now and never come across a hotel as good as this one you would be mad not to go we have even booked again

What an amazing place to visit, you won’t be disappointed!! This hotel was charming, beautiful pools, food was great, didn’t like the Mexican al a carte restaurant much though, we went for a pizza after it, lol. The rooms r stunning, go for the sea view room with the Jacuzzi well worth the extra!!
There is loads 2 do in Mexico, I recommend xcaret, xelha, pirate cruise (kind of like a night club on the sea), Dolphin swim at isla mujeres, snorkel adventure at isla mujeres, chitchen itza was a waste of a day, you spend 6 hrs altogether on the bus, was not impressed!! The night life was out of this world... Cocobongo is the best club in the world, you got to go here!! The city night club is huge, it is open thru the day too, it has a restaurant, a pool beach, water slides and the best light show, amazing!!
Tipping is the only problem in Mexico, you feel like your tipping everyone for stupid things and some will hound u to tip them, just make sure you take lots of 1 dollar bills with u to tip!!
That is the only bad thing I have to say about Cancun other than that it will be one of the best places you will ever visit, keep an open mind and go for some fun!! Where were all the singles?????? So many honeymooners and couples!!
