The Moon Palace was amazing and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We got married at the Moon Palace and 14 of our friends and family came to help us celebrate. The party was made up of people of all ages and everyone had a wonderful time. We would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get married abroad as they arranged everything for us and took away the stress of planning a wedding. Everything from the flowers to the photos and DVD were all amazing. Even the cake was delicious. All the men in their kilts made quite an impression on all the staff and guests! (The bride was not bad too).
The rooms were lovely and well looked after with animals made out of towels, petals and champagne left in your room. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure that you had a special holiday. The food was excellent with a wide choice of meals available at the many restaurants; we especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant at the Golf Course.
Overall a great holiday we can’t wait to go back.

The Moon Palace is a fantastic resort. We loved every minute of the 2 weeks we stayed there.
There are two sides to the resort, one side is predominantly American guests and the other is a mix. What I would say is, make sure you go across to the other side (whichever you are staing on). We didn't bother until the second week as there was plenty to keep us amused on our side, but when we did it was fantastic as it felt like a whole new resort.
All the facilties were brilliant, the room was amazing with a beach view and hot tub in the room. The food was great-I would advise you go for the al la carte restaurants as the buffet style restaurants have similar choices each night-but they are still really tasty and great for a quick dinner before going out in Cancun!
We didn't use the golf course but we did visit the spa and restaurant out at the golf course and both were brilliant!
If I could afford to go every year I would!!

Flying from Manchester to Cancun we decided to upgrade to premium which gave us separate check in, extra legroom, better choice of movies and unlimited free drinks turned out to be a wise move as the flight was very comfortable and the time disappeared.
We touched down in Cancun mid afternoon and after waiting in a long queue to get through passport control we passed security which was very strange indeed. It works as a traffic light system where you press a button and if it flashes red your suitcase is checked. We were fortunate enough for this not to happen however.
Once outside the airport we were surrounded by hundreds of cab drivers. Both illegal and legal offering to take us to the hotel- be very careful as it’s easy to think they are a rep. we did however find the Thomson rep who directed us to our waiting transfer coach to the hotel. After a short 15 minute journey we arrived outside the moon palace. It did take us another 5-10minutes once inside the moon palace grounds to get to the main reception building as the size of the place is so vast. We unloaded cases from the bus and went into check in, where we were given a complementary glass of champagne. Very nice.
We were given our wristbands and card for room door then taken to our room which luckily enough was a few mins walk away.
We entered the room and were immediately wowed by it. Unbelievable view of the sea and right in front of our room was a little open air chapel which had a wedding taking place.
-In the room there was a huge Jacuzzi as well as a very large walk in shower, super king-size bed along with nice plasma TV and minibar with fridge.
We then went for a stroll around the resort and had a look at the pools, restaurants (all 10 of them) as well as casino, nightclub, golf course, tennis and basketball court, gyms and shops all inside the moon palace resort.
The restaurants were all to our standard, the staff were very very helpful and couldn’t do enough. We’re not Niece enough to think that they wouldn’t expect a tip, which, we didn’t mind giving them a few dollars at meals etc... I’d have felt very uncomfortable not giving anything after the service they provided. Breakfast time was great as well...good choice of food.
We booked up for jet skiing and paragliding as well as booking through our rep to swim with dolphins. Loved every minute of them. We also took a trip to coco bongo’s nightclub a few others bars and went a day’s shopping at some of the great malls Cancun has to offer.
on departure we were waiting at reception for the coach to take us to the airport when, after waiting over an hour our rep (by complete luck) walked past to ask why we were waiting and hadn’t we received her call the day before....totally oblivious we obviously hadn’t. She then told us that our flight had been delayed possibly up to one day and we would be checked back into our room.
At this point we had already packed all of our stuff, thrown out the almost empty shower gels and sun lotions and spent near enough two hours waiting on being picked up from the airport. We had received no call or messages whatsoever. Nonetheless. There was nothing we could do about it and there had been a problem with another flight coming over from the UK. we were checked back in so moped around for the afternoon and then went for dinner and had an early night as we weren’t sure when they would call for us to be picked up the following day. We received a call mid evening to let us know that our flight was due to leave midafternoon again.
We were then woken during the night by what I can only describe as a violent storm. We had never saw anything like this before and it really was pretty violent, thinking we were going to wake up the next morning and the place to be a mess... we woke up and not a single bit of evidence to show anything had happened.
We boarded our flight back to Manchester and headed home, full of good memories of Cancun and the moon palace. I’d go back in a second.

This was without a doubt the most fantastic holiday I have ever had. There are loads of fab hotels in Mexico but this is the best. It costs more but is well worth it. I got married at the Moon Palace and the day and the whole fortnight were absolutely perfect. As soon as we got off the coach the service was 5*, with a bell boy quickly taking our baggage from us, and even a glass of champagne while we were waiting to check in!
We stayed on the Nizuc side, which is slightly quieter than Sunrise but we preferred it. There is just so much to do, with beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and whatever other activity you fancy doing available! My friend went to the gym at 6 every morning and said the facilities were amazing. I also used the salon on a few occasions, and it really was just like being at home.
There are 12 fantastic restaurants to choose from, some buffet service and some a la carte, every taste is catered to so you can't go wrong. I recommend the chinese restaurant on the Sunrise side, really nice. There is also a nightclub called Andromeda which was surprisingly good. The resort is huge, but there is a lobby to lobby coach service every 10 minutes to take you from Nizuc to Sunrise, and you will also see people buzzing about on golf carts all the time who are quite happy to give you a lift.
My husband enjoyed the golf course while we were there and said it was amazing, just difficult, you were also warned to watch out for the alligators!
My wedding day was out of this world and pictures are amazing, you cannot beat photos on the beach! All in all a fantastic holiday, well recommended. I'm trying to persuade my new hubby to go back for our 1st anniversary next year, better get saving!

Just got back from the Moon Palace where my husband and I enjoyed our 14th anniversary celebration. The service was stellar and is, I think, the most outstanding aspect of the resort. The staff seemed truly kind and couldn't be more attentive. I would rate the food as somewhat mediocre but one could usually find something to eat. All was kept clean and attention to detail was evident throughout. The only down side was the large number of Europeans who never know when to cover up their unattractive bodies.

What an amazing place. All-inclusive really does mean all-inclusive (including the mini-bar in your room stocked with several optics! And room service at 4am if you want it), the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful and everything about this place is just perfect.
People's comments about the beach not being nice would be more accurately aimed at the sea, which is quite seaweedy. The beach itself is gorgeous.

Spent 7 days at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun for our honeymoon and I cannot praise the hotel enough.
Everything is geared towards making you feel special, the rooms are luxurious, extremely large with a huge jacuzzi bath in the room, as well as a double shower in the bathroom. Large balcony with hammock, and our room overlooked the gardens with a side view of the ocean absolutely breathtaking.
On arrival the room was decorated for us and we had champagne and a fruit basket. The minibar in your room is fully stocked for free, and all drinks and food are included in the all-inclusive package.
Great variety of restaurants with 12 in all, the hotel is split into two sections one being larger than the other - we were in the larger section of Sunrise, the other section is much smaller and quieter but equally as nice.
Would highly recommend the Italian and the Chinese which we went to on two occasions, the Mexican and the Brazilian were nice as well, breakfast was amazing the choice is vast.
Just a shame we didn’t have time to try them all. All the staff cannot do enough for you and are extremely friendly and always greeted you.
The pool area tends to be very busy but if you wish to get away from everyone the beach is virtually empty, probably because the water is full of seaweed and it does collect on the beach though they do try and clear it often with a tractor. We didn’t find this off-putting as the water is warm and you have a quiet beach to yourself.
One tip though use the courtesy bus to take you into Cancun and the other Palace Hotels, we went to the Beach Palace and the beach there is stunning, white sandy beach and amazing clear blue waters.
Evening entertainment at the hotel is great - not your usual all-inclusive resort much more professional and the outside barbecues are a must. Tried the disco one evening - it’s ok usual cheesy music but a fun night.
All in all I cannot praise the hotel enough and would highly recommend it.

Just got back two days ago. What a fantastic hotel. No complaints whatsoever. I went with my partner for two weeks. We were entertained everyday.
The room was lovely and clean, we had our laundry picked up from our bed and delivered the next day, hung and ironed. Room service was fast, even the chamber maid paid attention to detail as everyday she left us objects on the corner of the jacuzzi made from two towels e.g. two swans kissing, a handbag (all made from the bath towels).
Food was great and staff fell over themselves to help. We can't wait to go back it really was a superb hotel.
We did get asked by some timeshare people to spend 90 minutes with them one morning and were promised gifts of an 18 hole golf voucher for my partner and an 80 minute head to toe massage for me at the spa. We took this up and wow what a fabulous day of golf and spa even though we didn't take up there offer. The golf itself is worth around £130 and the massage was around £80 and so was worth 90 minutes of chit chat.
I recommend this hotel to anybody, families, couples etc. Can't wait to return.
Adios!

We went to Mexico in 2005 to get married. We could not have chosen a better place to tie the knot! It was amazing.
The hotel was fabulous. Our room was massive with the biggest bed I have ever seen! The hotel its self was breath taking. I have never stayed in a hotel that was more perfect.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, they just could not do enough for us.
The facilities were just as outstanding as the hotel itself. The pool was lovely and clean. The restaurants and bars were lovely, the food was class.
We are planning to go back again on our 10th wedding anniversary!
I really highly recommend this hotel to anyone; it is somewhere that everyone should visit.

My husband and I got married abroad & wanted somewhere special and exotic but also somewhere with plenty to do apart from sunbathe. We picked Cancun for its luxurious hotels and renowned nightlife & our travel agent helped us find the Moon Palace.
We weren't disappointed. The trip from the airport was under 30 minutes and upon arrival, the staff were waiting to take our luggage and we were greeted with much need cool beverages of our choice - including chilled beer & champagne! There were several people on reception to deal with the influx so there was no hanging about.
The complex is sprawling and as there's a golf course on location, there are golf buggies to transport you wherever you need to go. We were shown to our room and were blown away.
The rooms are large and, as far as I know, all have an Atlantic ocean view. The spa bath sits at the end of the huge king size bed and faces the ocean - true paradise. The bathroom is more of a wet room with a huge shower that, if need be, you can sit down in. The rooms were cleaned every day we were there and the maids even turned our towels into art - elephants, butterflies, swans - excellent! There was a minibar & optics and a TV with satellite, ironing facilities and a hairdryer.
The hotel itself is spectacular. It's separated into 2 parts. We were in the older one, Nizuc, but it's well maintained & I saw no signs of age. There's loads of facilities - beauty parlour, shops, foreign exchange, gym, doctor, bars and between the 2 sites, I think there were 12 restaurants to choose from including an oriental restaurant. Look out for La Tratoria - the golf course restaurant, the food was beautiful and the scenery at night is breathtaking.
Each site has its own pool, each of which is massive. There's pool & beach activities all day long - paragliding, watersports, water polo, and aqua-aerobics. The hotel also offers many trips - swimming with dolphins, spa days to a sister resort, pub crawls & loads more!
The hotel has a bus service, going to its sister hotels (3, I think) and into Cancun. These run regularly and are free. It only takes about 20-30 minutes to get into Cancun which itself is amazing. There's many, many, many bars, restaurants and shops. In fact, there's several malls, one of which I think was all designer shops.
If you go, please do not miss out on Coco Bongo's - the evening show is like nothing I've seen before with great music, acrobats doing interpretations of movies, lighting, balloons, confetti! It's a real party atmosphere but very busy so be prepared for lots of people - definitely worth it though.
The Moon Palace is a great place for weddings. We had a 30 minute meeting with our co-ordinater the day we arrived to sort out the details and everything went like a dream. Although there are lots of weddings, they make you feel individual and special and it was a wonderful experience - no stress at all.
The staff at the hotel are second to none. Even during the hurricane that hit, the staff kept calm and smiled the whole time. The hurricane caused minimal damage and any there was, was fixed in 24 hours - it wasn't scary at all. All staff - maids, bar, restaurant, reception - were very friendly and made us feel welcome and sad to leave.
I would recommend this resort and hotel to everyone - whether you're looking for something quiet and relaxing or fun-filled and busy, Moon Palace Cancun had it all!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as a result of a friend's recommendation. The hotel is very clean, the staff very attentive and the rooms very plush. It's also very very big!
While we did enjoy the room and food, we personally hated the public areas. The pool was vast and full of people who seemed unable to talk at a reasonable level and shouted loudly, making it far from an oasis of calm.
We switched to the beach instead, where I got eaten alive by sand fly and spent five sleepless nights itching!
We eventually found some reprieve at the golf club pool - still shouting people but a lot less of them!
The restaurants have lovely food and service but their vastness and occupancy levels make the atmosphere reminiscent of sitting in the school canteen at lunchtime ( I should know, I'm a teacher!).
All in all, people who like a lively fun packed holiday will love this, but it was our idea of 'Butlins' in Mexico, being lovers of peace and tranquillity on holiday.
One to put down to experience!

This was our second visit. We first came in May 2004 for our honeymoon and had such a great time we had to go back.
On both occasions we upgraded to premium cabin. The first time we flew with Thomas Cook and it was fantastic and really started the holiday off. However this time we flew with Thomson fly and they were dreadful.
The quality was just standard and the crew seemed more interested in catching up on the gossip and gossiping about the passengers than actually looking after them. This had no reflection though on the actual stay at moon palace.
As soon as you arrive at MP you know you are somewhere really special. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Everywhere is so clean; the food is delicious with about 10 restaurants to choose from.
We swam with the dolphins which was amazing, my husband climbed the pyramid at Chitchen Itza ( I’m too scared of heights) but everything you do is just so amazing with the weather, the views, the beautiful clear sea.
Yes it may be a bit expensive but like everything you get what you pay for and that is certainly very true at Moon Palace. If you get the chance, please try it for yourself.
We love it so much that we've already booked to return next year and I just can't wait. (Flying with Thomas cook thank goodness)

We have been back a week and already want to go again!
The Moon Palace is wonderful - everything you can imagine and more! It is a massive hotel; the lobby takes your breath away when you arrive. Just overall a fantastic hotel, amazing views, clean and spacious rooms, really friendly staff.
The only downside is if you want a nightlife it is a bit far out from Cancun itself - it would cost you about $258 (£10-15) in a taxi.
I would recommend it to anyone and we WILL be going again!

Arrived back from the Moon Palace only yesterday and missing it already. It’s a fantastic place to stay and I have no complaints about my stay at all because it really is the dream place to be.
I was not on honeymoon there like most of the others but I went without my children so it was just amazing, a great relaxing 2 weeks away.
The staff really do make you feel special, they cannot do enough for you, and they really do live to serve you in an awesome way. Their faces and attitudes show you that it’s not just a job but rather they enjoying looking after you.
The food was also the highest of quality and it was a real pleasure to stay there. I cannot recommend this hotel enough to you and I can’t wait to go back (better start working overtime lol).
Hope you get chance to visit because you will just love it! Go on, treat yourself, and book it now.
