My husband and I found this hotel by chance 6 years ago when looking for a weekend ski break. We had real difficulty finding a hotel that would take us just for a weekend and so were not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was and delighted that it was so close to the two main lifts, the Schmittenhohe and the Sonnenalm. This year a third lift system opened, the Trassexpress making it even more convenient. We have been every year since with more and more friends each time, this year there were 14 of us, 7 adults and 7 children.
It is family run hotel and the Wartbichler family are always very welcoming. They are always striving to improve the hotel each year. The food is excellent. There is now a skihire hut right on site which is very convenient. There is even a small pool and sauna area. We love this hotel and hope to visit for many more years to come.
