Furian Hotel

We stayed for xmas 2006. Great hotel just a few minutes walk from the high street. Mr and Mrs Furian along with their small group of staff could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We had a suite in this small family hotel. It was very well decorated and fully furnished with fantastic views of the lake. The meals were excellent, we tried many foods we would not normally have and enjoyed them all. We stayed here from Xmas Eve until New Years Eve 2005 & really would have loved to stay longer as it looked as if there were going to be good celebrations going on New Years Eve!! This is a super, family owned/run small hotel--very cosy( in fact too warm!!?)rooms--ours had a balcony with view of Lake Wolfgang--magical when floating lights/stars on at night! The food here was excellent, & surprisingly, so was the Austrian wine, (although more expensive than we had imagined!) But life is too short to drink bad wine!!! The only thing lacking... more
