Chaika Beach Hotel

We stayed at the Chaika Beach in July this year and found it to be a good hotel in an excellent location right on the beach just off the centre of the resort.
We stayed on a half board basis and the food was ok but very similar every evening (we ate out on 3 of our 7 nights there but it’s so cheap this didn’t really matter - some people we spoke to dined at the hotel every night for a fortnight and were quite happy).
The usual sun bed saga developed every morning and you had to have your towels out by 8am to get a bed by one of the two pools.
The resort of Sunny Beach is very developed and busy (well it was in July) - be careful of the hundreds of kids bombing down the promenade on scooters, bikes and golf carts!!
There are lots of nice places to eat out and food and drink is extremely cheap.
Don’t but cigarettes off the street traders - they are Turkish strong cigarettes disguised as British Brands. There is a limited choice of very cheap brands in the Duty Free Shop at Bourgas Airport.
Weather was superb and lots to do for adults and kids alike.
We will definitely return to Sunny Beach but will probably stay in a cheaper hotel on B&B and take advantage of the cheap restaurants!!
