Warning!!! Do not stay here



The worst holiday I ever had by far!! Thank goodness I was only here for 1 week or I would have had nothing left. People stole from our apartment four times in the one week. The reception staff wanted nothing to do with it.



My holiday was spent in a police station filling in papers. Do not stay here!!!!!

We stayed in the Lago Park II apartments the first week in June 2007 (4 adults aged 35, 44, 50 & 74).



The apartments themselves were very basic with the furniture, kitchen appliances etc being quite old but they were clean and secure.



The pool area at Lago Park II was quiet enough with a clean pool and poolside bar. You could also use the pool at Lago Park I which is the main block across a pathway but this was a bit busier.



We liked the pool at Lago Park II as it did not have any of the usual reps trying to get you to play games - just pick your lounger and enjoy the sun.



Our rooms faced onto Lago Park I and was above a bar which could get quite noisy at night (with a man and his keyboard playing the same songs every night!!) but everything stops as midnight. Also this side of the block did not get any sun on the balcony any time during the day.



I would recommend asking for a pool view or staying in Lago Park I. The apartments were 2 minutes walk from the beach, surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars and ideal if you want to be centrally located in Playa de Muro.



The taxi rank is also 2 minutes walk away with a taxi into Alcudia centre costing around 6 or 7 Euros if you want something a bit more livelily.

I have just come back from these apartments and have nothing but praise for them.



These apartments are ideally situated for everyone. The whole resort being flat is a bonus! The apartment we stayed in was very clean and the air conditioning brilliant. Apartments wasn't ready when we arrived but was told that we would have to wait 15 minutes. When we got into the Apartment the floor was still drying. Cleaners came in 3 times in 1 week and we had the bed linen changed.



We staying in Lago Park 2 which is next door to Lago Park 1. The 2 being linked by a small shopping mall which has a supermarket, shoe shop, a place to book excursions and hire cars, perfume shop, small off license and a tattooist! Everything nearby and handy.



There is a restaurant which is attached to the complex called Briasa. Good Food and atmosphere here. Also fairly quite to eat as only advertised outside as a cafe. You could get anything you liked to eat. The cocktails were lovely too!



Beach was clean and was combed most morning. Sun beds and Parasol not that expensive on the beach either. 7 Euros for whole day for 2 sun beds and parasol.

I would advise anyone thinking of staying at this complex to reconsider. The apartments are only suitable for insomniacs as the noise level on the street outside starts every morning at 5am. Incredibly the apartments have no air conditioning, no even an electric fan, which adds to the discomfort. My 5 day stay at Lago Park II largely spoiled what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable holiday to Alcudia.

I stayed at the Lago Park II Apartments In May 2004 and found them to be absolutely spotless.



On entering the apartment door you could smell the bleach that indicated a great sign of cleanliness. The apartments were spacious - a large square shaped hall leading onto a spacious bathroom, which had a shower and a bath - a spacious bedroom that overlooked the 2 swimming pools, leading onto a fair sized living accommodation with kitchen. The only improvement I would make would be to have a kettle & toaster included in the self catering package - these had to be rented separately.




The location was fantastic - as the apartments led onto the top of the road - the bus stop was basically on our doorstep along with the taxi rank. The bus ran into Alcudia Old town for 1 euro - a must place to visit - absolutely gorgeous - & the opposite direction took you to C’an Picafort - an upmarket shopping area with boutiques, loads of shops, Bars, Restaurants and a white sandy beach that would make you think that you were in Barbados.




Back in Playa de Muro the best place to eat was Smiths - the staff were so pleasant not to mention the food was brilliant and the portions were plenty & the price was low a great value for money. The swan was ok place to eat especially if you had kids - very cheap, entertainment basically for the children = but would rate their food 5/10 whereas Smiths a definite 10/10.




Not really a great deal of night time entertainment in playa de muro - but for a 4 euro taxi ride to the Bellevue area there is plenty of variation to keep everyone amused. There was even a Chinese restaurant serving a 3 course meal for 5 euros each - food again was fantastic - and the service so efficient and on leaving you were given a free shot of Chinese sherry - sounds horrible - but was completely the opposite - tastes nothing like what you would expect sherry to taste like.




The beach in playa de muro - I would rate 10/10 - spotless white sand - lovely hot water - yes even in May & no seaweed tangling round your ankles - not in the water or the sand.




The entertainment in lago Park II Apartments was situated in lago park I apartments & I must admit left a lot to be desired! If the entertainment was sorted out & detailed around the adults say from 9.00pm I would rate these apartments 10/10 - that is the only downfall, the location and the cleanliness were second to none.




I would most definitely go back.
