What a fantastic place to stay. The Hotel staff were very friendly. The food was wonderful, every morning you would make your choice from the 4 meals available for dinner that night. We didn't have a day where we didn't like the sound of any of the options, even my 8 year old didn't complain.
The room was very clean and had a wonderful power shower. Heated boot room was a bonus. Not far to the lift station, just across the field.
We will be going back.

This hotel was excellent. Although new to the British skier, the staff really tried hard to make our stay very welcoming. They produced all information in English and the 'daily rag' they printed was a real treat at breakfast time. This included what activities was on in the whole village and weather and snow conditions. We were able to ski down a short field directly from the hotel to the gondola. (and an easy walk back.) The hotel also has an ideal heated boot room and ski storage.
Our room was immaculately clean with a lovely power shower, the food was fab, with hot and cold buffet breakfast and great choices for evening meals. They always considered childrens alternatives so my 'fussy eaters' were happy. Overall the holiday was found to be easy and relaxed, which is not always the case when skiing with children aged 9 and 5. So thank you to the Kammerlander staff and ski school. I would not hesitate to return or recommend this resort.
The only negative with the area is the lack of English people there (usually this would be a plus point! however it is always nice to chat with others about the days activities etc.) most people could speak some english so we had no communication problems.

We recently spent a week skiing in Neukirchen with Crystal staying at the hotel Kammerlander. The hotel was excellent - particularly the food and the staff were very friendly. Facilities were good with a small pool and sauna. Good for kids (we have an 11 year old and and 8 year old). The hotel is very close to the gondola that takes you up to the ski area. A quiet resort, good for families not particularly lively.
Most of the skiing is above 1700m so the snow was pretty good given the poor winter. Very good for beginners and reasonable for intermediates although you could have skied the whole area within 2 or 3 days. Not a resort for experts. Ski school was good (only the kids had ski school) although not much English spoken. Equipment hire etc was all very efficient.
Not many British around which from our perspective added to the charm. There is no Crystal rep in the resort and apart from the airport transfers it was a bit pointless going with Crystal!

We stayed at this lovely hotel in the February half term. We are a family of 5 and had 2 rooms, one a triple and the other a twin. The rooms were very contemporary for Austria and very nicely presented. The power shower was fantastic, however, I did miss my bath after skiing the pistes. This was a very quiet hotel in the evening so it meant you could have a good sleep in a lovely comfortable Austrian bed.
The food was first class, a superb buffet breakfast with hot and cold items available. Dinner was excellent with endless supplies of food, there was always variety in the menu, meaning it wasn't the same old thing every night. You normally picked your meals from a choice of 4 items at breakfast but sometimes there was a choice from a hot buffet. The waitresses and all staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The ski and boot room was good as it was in the basesment of the hotel. The boot room could do with being a little bit bigger as was very crowded in the mornings. Access to the gondola was excellent, we just had to ski down the field next to the hotel and you were at the gondola. If you did the run down to Neukirchen village this was only a 3-4 minute walk back to the hotel or you could get a ride on a child friendly tractor but this was normally busy.
There was a lot of snow this February which made visibility poor for skiing however this made the village very pretty indeed. The ski run down to Bramberg is a must, there is a red version or a blue, both are fantastic but the blue a bit slower. You have to get a bus back from Bramberg this takes around 10 minutes and you can get a timetable at the ticket office. The resort was not busy even though it was half term, I presume this was down to the fact there was very little British there and mainly Dutch tourists. There was little queues for the gondola in the morning only a 2-3 minute wait.
