Read the reviews with people moaning about food, views etc, well we had a great time. The hotel is accross the road from the ski bus stop and about 15 minute walk to Hannenkham. The staff were outstanding as was the food. The choice excellent and the portions aplenty. The small bar is great fun with decent prices to match. The rooms were good with a large balcony which was great as the sun shone almost every day and it was a great spot for a beer and chill out after a great days skiing.I cannot recommend the hotel and staff highly enough. If you are intent on being fussy stay at home.
The town has plenty going on and would say it is as good as anywhere and Austria is not over pricing like other parts of Europe. Go to the Hofer prepared to relax, enjoy (the sauna is free and worth a visit)and be well looked after

We have visited Kitz loads and always stayed at the Hofer its well presented the staff are fantastic the rooms are as you would expect and if you are lucky enough to get the new rooms in the loft conversion they are even better.
The hotel has its own bar and drinks are competitively priced and the food they provide is good and they have always been flexible as we are fussy eaters.
Kitz is fantastic well worth a visit as lots to get your teeth into.

Booked through Crystal ski for a 1 week holiday. Upon arrival we were greeted by a dirty tea and coffee area with stained cups, the glasses at the bar were very water stained and looked dirty. Our room had an inch of dust all the way round, could hardly see in the bathroom due to bad lighting. The bed was stained, and the "made up" bed looked as if someone had slept in it! Didnt want to sit on the bed let alone lay in it due to stains. Evening meal was very disappointing but the cherry on the cake was the water jug that arrived with brown sludgey grim around the inside!!!!!
