Flairhotel Kitzbuhel Hotel Reviews
" Definitely not "4 star pending".... "
Submitted By: Mr D Friend
Definitely not "4 star pending". Previously known as the Klausner Hotel, the Flair Hotel has undergone a partial refurbishment -our bathroom was new and excellent.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The food was a let down - same limited buffet breakfast every day, and same buffet salad every night. Very salty food, especially the soups.
The cream ones were edible but the clear soups we couldn't touch, especially those with strange things floating in them (liver dumplings, profiteroles and strips of pancakes!). Main course choice of two was limited, so had vegetarian a couple of nights.
The refurb had not reached the furniture in our bedroom (room 202). One of the twin beds collapsed simply by sitting on it. The slatted base was too narrow for the frame, and simply fell off it's supports.
The whole thing was a mess. The other twin base was centred by means of cardboard packing! The balcony door external shutter could not be secured because the catch had pulled out of the rotted wood.
Location may be OK for train spotters, overlooking the main station. The address is, after all, No 1 Station Platz! The bing-bong-bong station announcements start soon after 6am. Freight trains run through the night.
Hotel somewhat on the outskirts of the delightful town, but main bus stop right outside - which was good for the free ski buses.

The 6 course evening meal was fantastic, the service by the friendly staff complemented the very high standard of food. The rooms were clean and modern, the reception area and the restaurant were lovely surroundings to spend time in.
A great hotel!
