Gassenhaus Hotel

We had booked this holiday late so we didn't expect much as we only paid £170 each.
We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived in resort and found the guest house was right in the centre of the village, just off the main street.
Inga and Heinze, the owners were waiting to meet us and we were shown to a very large room on the 1st floor with a balcony which was spotless and comfortable.
The next morning we realised that the balcony look right over to the mountain where the skiing was.
We went down into the garden room were breakfast is served and although there was plenty to eat it was repetitive (bread rolls, jams, meat, cheeses and the most perfectly boiled eggs we have ever had).
The sun was shining on our 1st day so the snow quickly turned to slush so we left the mountain early and explored the village.
It is not very big but is well spread out, but it has a good selection of restaurants and bars the best of which was REBLAUS.
Top class local food and a good selection of Italian as well, brilliant and not that expensive.
The temperature hit 70 in the afternoon so we were worried about the skiing all week, but hey presto it started snowing on the Sunday night and didn't stop until the Tuesday afternoon. The skiing was fantastic.
All week the guesthouse owners were friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough for us.
We would definitely go back to this guesthouse.
