On arrival we were given a room facing the road. The room was cold and noisy. Before unpacking we asked to be swapped to the other side of the hotel. We were offered another room immediately. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. There was a choice of full English or continental breakfast ... or a combination of both if you so wanted. The evening meal was buffet style. The choice was excellent and it was hot. (there was also salad if you wanted it). There was sky tv in the rooms. Our television didn't get a very good signal and constantly flickered on and off. Talking to the other guests this only happened in some of the rooms. This is a good place to stay. My main criticism would be its location at the bottom of a steep hill to Arinsal. It did mean, however, that we were first on the ski bus and therefore guaranteed a seat before it picked up, one minute later, from St Gothards hotel where lots of people were waiting to get on. Although the ski buses were timetabled every 15 minutes on our last day we waited over an hour. The first five days of our holiday they were mainly on time.

This was very basic, but a lovely Hotel. I went with my son and we had a super time, not just because of the lovely skiing peists but because of the hotel staff bent over backwards to fulfil our every needs.
With lovely views and a pretty stream running outside there’s no need to spend big amounts of money somewhere posh.

Not forgetting this Hotel is also the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been too.
This hotel was well worth its money.
You must visit this hotel!

Excellent hotel! Loved our stay. The staff were friendly and the whole place was warm and with someone always to hand when you needed help.
Rooms were a good size, cleaned every day and the bathroom was lovely - bath with taps in the middle of the side so two of you could comfortably take a relaxing bath together.
Food was fantastic! Full English breakfast every day, and yoghurts, toast and juice. Each night was a selection of buffet food - with a different soup each night, meat cheese, salad etc, 2/3 combinations of main course, and a nice range of puddings - cakes, angel delight, jelly, fruit salad, loads of yummy and fun things! Great for kids and young people (we were a group of 22 year olds).
We were with Crystal who organised après ski events, we went to the pub crawl and 70's night (which was very well done and a lot of fun!!), and other nights we sat in the relaxing bar playing cards or watching the TV’s which showed a variety of things from concerts (girls aloud, Jennifer Lopez, rolling stones) to live football matches on the big screen.
Location wasn't so bad - 5 minutes by bus to the arinsal resort, and 10 mins to la masana. Like said before - later on the buses stopped so you'd have to walk back but it was okay, though sometimes you'd have to walk on the road, but it wasn’t that busy so fairly safe. When going out in evenings the hotel would call a taxi for you.
There were also 2 computers for internet use and a Playstation 2 which the kids of the hotel were always on, much to my boyfriend's frustration. All in all something for everyone! Great value for money, helpful friendly staff and brilliant food!

Although the hotel decor is a little dated and the rooms were basic they all had en-suite and some sky channels. The rooms were very clean and the maids came every day.
The food was fantastic, hats off to the chef. Breakfast ranged from continental croissants with ham or cheese to full English breakfasts. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate included along with a large selection of juices. Evening buffet was very good, only one night was a little bland, otherwise all four of our party felt happily full at the end of dinner. Extra drinks such as bottled water or alcohol was not included but we didn't find that a problem.
Slight niggle was location. Although there were buses every 15 minutes or so and we were one of the first hotels to get picked up there was always spaces, the downside was that of an evening the buses stopped at 6pm so if you wanted to stay for a few drinks after coming off the slopes you would have to walk back although it was downhill on the way back which was a bonus. The walk was approx. 15 mins.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, there wasn't much entertainment other than the odd karaoke, but there was an open fire some nights and a relaxed bar atmosphere which was nice if you just wanted a quiet evening.
Resort was a good laugh, not very busy but some good bars and the boarding and instructors were ace!
Would stay there again if not for the distance from the gondolas.
