Having been going back to Corfu every other year since 1974 we soon discovered Acharavi. We stayed at the Gelina the other end of the village and did not know about Tha Kamri until we whent to visit some friends who where staying there. That was it, we stay there everytime now and my daughter even had her wedding reception there. Eva helping out with the organising and taking my wife into corfu town to do the shopping needed for the wedding (flowers cake ect) nothing is to much for Eva and Zak and over the years they have become good friends.
- Advice: Hire a car as the roads are quite good and reasonably quite, Acharavi is nestled under mountains inthe north with mant picturesqe many villages and secluded beaches to explore.

We have been coming to Corfu for 11 years and have stayed at Kamari. The 1st time we arrived we were welcomed like long lost friends, which we have become over the years. Zak, Eva & Gersi have become very good friends, we have seen Gersi grow from a young baby to a young lady. The apartments have been tastefully renovated to a very high standard. (the one you expert in a 5*) The atmosphere is fantastic and the entertainment 1st class, with Zak serenading. It it always very hard to leave but it gives us something to look forward to. I would strongly recommend to young, old and family orientated people. It is after all 1 big happy family which I am sure you will feeel part of.

In 1993 a group of ten of us stayed at the Kamari apartments (an all female group in the 45-50 age group, made up of family and friends). We were given a lovely welcome by Eva, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Some of the group preferred to lounge by the pool, some of us by the beach, and a couple of them preferred to shop. There was something for every single one of us, all within a few minutes walk. The atmosphere was so relaxing, which was why we chose the Kamari Apartments. The location was perfect, and the lovely lady on the beach who rented us our sun loungers was so friendly. We all had a fantastic week there, so much so that we returned 2 years later. Sadly, one of our group was missing as our eldest sister had died the previous year. Eva remembered her, and gave us her condolences, which was so nice. We cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful, family-run retreat. We WILL return!!

Kamari apartments are very confortable and above average size, they are clean and serviced twice each week.
the pool is a good size and kept very clean with a number of free sun loungers, (Be up early to get your space) the pool bar area is nice for relaxing and getting some drink or food, you will be well looked after by Zak and Eva they are friendly and make everyone feel welcome. The town is livly and plenty of options for eationg out and only a 10 minute walk from the apartaments. you will find the beech 5 minutes away and well worth the visit.
overall this is a excellent location and resort to stay in.
I think we will be going back (-:)

Just returned from a 10 day break in this lovely resort. As with all Greek holidays we found everyone to be most friendly. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in had plenty of room and enough storage. The kitchen facilities were sufficient for me to cook a few meals so that we need not eat out every day.
The owner's Zac and Eva were lovely, nothing too much trouble but everything done in a layed back way. A certain amount of banter was going on and although there were mixed nationalities, everybody had a good time.
We would definitely recommend this for older people and families with young children, as there was little for teenagers to do.
Kamari has its own website.

This was our fifth time to Corfu and I can’t say enough good things about this place and the owners. We spent two fantastic weeks here being looked after as if good friends. Zac and Eva (the owners) run the apartments on their own - so occasionally you have to wait to be served, however when you are served it’s always with a smile.
The apartments are huge and kept very clean. You have a TV and DVD player in the main room, a hairdryer in the toilets, and all the kitchen essentials including a microwave that you could need for self catering. This is a far cry from many other places we have stayed in Corfu.
There are 5 apartment blocks on the site, however because the grounds are so large there is space for children to play without interrupting other holiday makers. The grounds are also totally enclosed meaning our 4 and 7 year old children were able to play safely.
I could go on for hours about how good the Kamari Apartments are - food at the bar is great. Pool huge, clean and there is a slide. Only 3 minutes to pebble beach - a good 10 minutes walk to town with lots of restaurants - we found the walk along the beach was preferable to along the road.
Acharavi itself has plenty of bars and restaurants whilst still containing Greek charm - would highly recommend for families, but I would think if you have teenagers there may not be enough for them to do.
We will go back again and again as it’s the best we have found by far.

Never before have I ever stayed anywhere where the owners/staff go well beyond the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay! One of the owners even piled us all into their private owned vehicle to drive us to the local water park.
Zak & Eva - The owner/managers of Kamari are probably two of the friendliest people I have met in a long time and to stay in their complex was a pleasure.
The complex itself is beautiful with perfectly maintained garden areas. The apartments are comfortable and some have some gorgeous views of the mountains surrounding Acharavi.
The local supermarket is literally a 5 minute walk away and the beach is just as close.
Aharavi town is also a short walk (5-10 minutes to some really nice restaurants).
I will definitely be making this complex a regular holiday spot for me.

A family member was allocated randomly to Kamari Apartments 10 years ago. What luck! I've never had a better time on holiday.
This year, me and my partner decided to go on a holiday. I had previously gone with family 3 years ago and as soon as I returned I was glad I had chosen Kamari again.
The pool and bar area is calm and quiet and is great for a perfect break away from the big hubbub of bigger hotels.
Zak and Eva, the owners, go out of their way to make your stay pleasurable and are very friendly. They simply love children and love having them around.
Eva has a great love of animals and you will find her 5 dogs roaming around the grounds. They are very very loving and friendly who love to be around the people around the bar. Don't be afraid to stroke them they don't bite and will often roll over for you to rub their bellies. As an animal lover myself I loved having the dogs around. It may not be to some people's tastes
The rooms which have been recently upgraded have all mod cons and an added bonus of a DVD player for evening times before bed. Zak has a different DVD playing in the rooms 24 hours a day ( give or take ) The grounds are gorgeous and are well looked after.
The bar offers a great selection of food and drink. Eva is a great cook. I highly recommend her Full English breakfast and her Greek Salad is second to none.
Kamari offers a great atmosphere with Italian, German, Dutch and British holiday go-ers all mingling in the same place. The owners speak English and Italian very fluently and you will often find them conversing with an Italian in a very fast conversation and then suddenly turning their attention to you in flawless English.
Supermarket Spiros is just up the road but I found there wasn’t a wide selection there. However if you walked down the beach, to your right and into the next street you would find the Supermarket Alexandra. Lots of fresh fruit, bread and virtually everything you could want.
Acharavi beach is a bit pebbly but if you go out into the sea it is very sandy. The beach is 2 minute walk down from Kamari and the main street with a wide array of restaurants and bars is a 10 minute walk away up the road
I highly recommend Kamari Apartments and I will most definitely be paying a third visit next year.

Calm, clean, friendly and nice accommodation. You might see serious effort to keep it in perfect condition. Owners as well as staff were friendly.
Unfortunately, nearly no equipment for children up to 2 years (bath tube, children chair, toys). Moreover, booked children bed was not what we expected. It is better to pack everything you need when travelling with small children. Do not plan washing by yourself. Firstly the water is not very suitable, secondly the air is too wet. But there are laundries in Acharavi.
Kamari garden is beautiful and very well gardened. For parents forced to be with children sleeping afternoon - garden and swimming pool "front of your door" were a perfect facility. Healing procedure after period of pregnancies etc.
Supermarket Spiros - very friendly and helpful - and very close to Kamari. Kamari is situated near to beach - beautiful stones on sea shore - shallow sea with sand bottom. It is a pity that there is nearly no life in shallow water.
You should be ready fight with mosquitoes. There are wasps, but they are not aggressive. In the locality around you will meet many dogs, cats - very nice kinds - nearly all of them are walking freely - fortunately they are very calm. Rent and buy is of similar price.
We were surprised that there were lack of nice fruits and nearly no vegetable.
With very few exceptions, people are very nice, helpful and their relation to children is amazing - they love them.
Many opportunities to walk and find entertainment for children - horses, dogs, cats, lemon garden, parrot in olive wood store, etc.
Kamari is situated close to the sea full of stores, close to the Acharavi centre, not so far from Roda (sand beach, nice trade centre for evening walk) - and calm enough at night.

The staff at the Kamari Apartments were very friendly and helpful. The Apartment at which we stayed in were very clean and well laid out, each apartment had 3 single beds, a shower, a kitchen and a bathroom. The swimming pool was outside and was a medium size there was also a children’s pool, both pools were close to the bar/restaurant. The area where the Kamari Apartments were situated was in close vicinity to the beach, a large amount of restaurants and shops. At sometime in the future maybe even this year I would like to return.

We spent 2 weeks at the Kamari appartments. It is a wonderful location 3 minutes from the pebbly beach Acharavi and 10 minutes to Sandy beach at Roda
We stayed in a studio appartment - probably would not do much cooking here - 2 ring cooker. Grounds of appartments beautifully landscaped. Nice pool, safe for children and Eva and Zak very welcoming. Towels are changed on a regular basis and sheets once a week
There are planty of nice Tavernas in Acharavi and Roda - best being the Pump House in Acharavi town - always busy
Ginos pizza is also good
Bineliki taverna on the corner on the way to the beach is excellent and very cheap
Great location for a peaceful holiday
Only downside is the mosquitoes in Sept -
