Hermes Hotel

The staff are brilliant, The rooms are brilliant, The pools are brilliant, The foods brilliant and if you dont like the Turkish breakfast you can buy a English breakfast for 5 TL and the hotel is not to close to clubs and bars but its not to far away either. They have really good entertainment, day and night. The staff are really good with everyone they will have a laugh. i would like to say thanks to Batman, Jacob, Eddie, Alex and all the other staff for making my holiday the best so far !! :)

We arrived at Hermes Hotel at around 12 from a tiring 2 hour cab drive. The hotel's look on the out side isnt that bad, plus the pool is quite nice. But thats probably the only good things about the hotel. As we got out of the cab we got greeted and they took our bags. Me and my family were looking forward to a good night sleep, the hotel manger said 'I have bad news', I thought oh god whats happend. He had 'overbooked us' even though we booked 2 weeks before we came. After that bit of bad news, it got worse. He shoved us a little car with some random stranger and put us in another hotel, which was horrid. After 2 days from staying at that hotel, we came back to Hermes. Looking forward to a 3 star quality room. As we walked in, our faces dropped. This hotel was worse than the temp hotel that we stayed at. Problems with our room: Nails sticking out of the wood where my son had stepped on which injured him, the hairdryer disintegrated as I pulled it out which could of caused electric shock, the fan out side which is connected to the AC was leaking hot smelly water which made walking on the balcony impossible, we had NO hot water for 5 days. Then there were other problems with the hotel: The staff are so very annyoing, they will not let you leave if you dont buy something. They can also be rude aswell, the only decent workers were the tall man at the market stall and the 2 women at the counter.
Also if you do buy there its stupidly expensive, example a coke there is 5 tl, and a cafe opposite sells it for 3tl, same amount. The food is not even that nice compared to other things you taste in marmaris, sometimes break fast is late. If you dont like cats then this hotel is NOT for you because cats stroll around the hotel like they own the place. I own a cat myself and I have no problem with them but when your trying to eat breakfast say a cat would come, scare you and will not leave until you move it yourself. The place is unprofessional and not reccomended.
Please do not come here, its TERRIBLE. It gave us a bad impression of turkey at the start. An amazing holiday, but the hotel just put us down.

basic rooms very clean but who needs more than a comfortable bed lol. the guys that work outside are brilliant especially alex and batman there the best. theres never a dull moment around the pool lol. all the guys are extremely helpfull and have more energy than i dream about. love this place would go again tomorrow. miss u guysx

Before I start writing this review, I would like to state that anyone reading the comments should ignore any reviews that were written before Nov 09 because since then the management has changed!!
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and treated us like royalty!
The prices were fair and the food was very tasty!
I went with a group of four other girls, and we were all made to feel very comfortable!
Although at first we were given a room without air conditioning, they resolved this issue for us as soon as possible and were very professional about it!
The hotel is clean and the manager Mehmet is a credit to the hotel! He has done a wonderful job of making the hotel into an amazing resort.
Also thanks to Alex Gary Mustafa for all the brilliant entertainment you provided for us after our dinner! We miss the turkish dancing (shemame)!

Sat at the bar at the Hermes hotel in marmaris enjoying my last evening before flying home. This have been a great holiday for me and girlfriend and we are planning on returning next year. The meals here are great and the entertainment and service of the all English speaking staff was fantastic. Non stop laughs all week by the large clean pool and great weather all week. There is several days out all at a cheap price covering all intrests. Also abus service that picks you up every 5 mins and takes you to the centre/beach. All in all a great week had in a great hotel and the sooner we can come back the better!!!

Myself and my two sons, aged 18 and 12 have just returned from a fabulous fortnight at the Hermes Hotel.
When we arrived at 5pm we had a short wait for our room to be ready, so we had a meal and a drink and took in the atmosphere. We knew straight away that we were going to enjoy our holiday and we weren’t disappointed!
Our room was small and basic, but clean and comfortable and we chose to pay for air conditioning. Towels and bedding were changed regularly and the water was always hot for showers. We were delighted to be moved to a family room with a huge balcony and stunning views after a few days.
We found all of the staff very friendly and helpful. Any little issues were dealt with immediately. (bulbs changed, how to use the shower)
Armutalan is a bit quieter than the centre of Marmaris, but as the dolmus bus terminal is situated very close, it’s easy and cheap to travel in if you want to. We had a few excursions and ate out a few times, but we found that the food and entertainment in the Hermes was as good as anywhere we might find. In other accommodations I found that the onsite entertainment can be too adult or too child orientated, but there’s a perfect balance for all the family here. The staff dancing is brilliant fun and the barbeque nights are great value with more good entertainment. My sons are usually quite shy but enjoyed joining in the belly dancing, singing and dancing!
If you get the chance, please let David the photographer take pictures for you. He is an excellent photographer , the photos are very good quality and they are very reasonably priced.
The only small room for improvement I can think of are a fridge for cold drinks and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although I enjoyed room service coffee on the balcony in the mornings.
All in all, we are not the type to return to previous holidays, but in the case of the Hermes we will be making an exception and are already looking forward to going back next year! Many thanks to all at Hermes!! We love you more than you know!

I have just returned from a two week holiday with my family and all I can say is that this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The Staff are amazaing the managment are fantastic, the food, rooms, pool, weather were all amazing. Don't listen to any bad comments about this hotel just go see for yourself and you'll love it. The Entertainment was great especially the staff dances. I would like to say a massive thank you to all of you for making my holiday so special. See you all in September... Carla & Nathan

What a little gem of a hotel,thought we where out in the sticks but plently of bars and restaurants within walking distance plus dolmus bus service just outside hotel to take you about. Staff were great hotel clean and maid service daily would def go back well worth the money cant wait till next year totally loved it xxxx P.S Forgot to say kids had a ball too, plenty for for them to do they didnt want to go home x

Myself and my friends have just returned from a 10 day holiday and after reading some of the reviews before we left was a little bit dubious but can honestly say we had a fantastic time. The rooms were basic but very clean and the food you can purchase round the pool was absolutely lovely. All the staff are so welcoming and fun and really made our holiday. Alex, Gary & memhet couldn't do enough it really is a fantastic team of people who work at the hermes hotel. We are all planning to go back soon.
I think some of the reviews are really unfair as we didnt pay much for our holiday so didnt quite know what to expect but the rooms and hotel in general was very clean and has a really good atmoshpere.

We thought Hermes hotel was just lovely, really enjoyed staying there and have already booked to go back in September with more of us. Don't really understand the last review as we found the hotel clean, not over expensive at all. as for the hot water well it was pot luck in the evening ,wether you had it boiling or not, just depends how many people were getting ready at one time. waiters made our holiday what a great laugh. PLEASE DON't LISTEN TO BAD REVIEW'S IT'S VERY BASIC BUT CLEAN YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT'S A CHEAP BUDGET HOLIDAY, IF YOU WANT THE RITZ YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO SPEND MORE MONEY.
