Other well known travel review sites drool over this hotel and therefore the choice to stay here was made up on those comments.
The hotel is spotlessly clear due to the hard working maids, maintenance, grounds staff who are the unsung heroes of the hotel. Our bedding and towels were changed every second day by a charming, polite and considerate young lady who always had a smile on her face. Even when we couldn't find beds around the pool the staff found two for my wife and I within minutes.
The accommodation can be either S/C, or B&B or you can upgrade to 5 or 7 days half board at very competitive prices. The breakfasts are mainly omelettes, pancakes, boiled eggs etc that are cooked while you wait and based around an interesting accompaniment of fresh salad veg, meats and cheeses.
We never stayed for dinner but the 2 occasions when we had a snack lunch they were well presented and tasty. As I mentioned, the backroom staff contribute greatly to the running of this hotel as do the excellent Turkish bath and spa staff.
The bar at night is busy and although Freddie and Veli are both effective and efficient they sometimes have a bit of a sulk and blow hot and cold. Nevertheless they know their jobs well. Although Goldie is a fount of information and knowledge we rarely needed her services but she is pleasant girl.
The hotel mainly caters for the 40's and above age group but occasionally young families stay and this usually poses the problems with towel laying early mornings. Our first week when most guests were 40plus, it was easy to find a bed at 8 or even 9am, but the second week I saw men laying down towels at 6am onwards.
The location of the hotel is second to none being 5 minutes from the Prom and its eateries and even less from the Strip with shops, bars and smaller restaurants.
Most guests appear to be long term guests either visiting for the umpteenth time or spending weeks there (1 lady was allegedly on her 9th week while we were there!)
Perhaps it is this familiarity that had bred the ritualistic Mockney accents from Turkish waiters with ther 'orwite, mate!'to the extent that it began to grate after a few days. There is a little North/South divide present as guests don't mingle as well as they could. Perhaps it may have something to do with catering for over 200 guests.
It would be nice to return but only after a couple of years, not every year like some do.
- Advice: Excellent 3 star hotel with added luxuries.

What can I say?
Second time in Turkey, and we hit a winner
No negatives whatsoever with the Oykun Hotel
Staff fantastic - thanks particularly to Freddy, Veli and Goldie - rooms spacious and clean, pools clean , food great
Calis not the busiest or biggest of resorts, but Fethiye and Olu Deniz only a short Dolmus away so no problems there
Overall a winner 10/10

This is a great hotel with fantastic staff. Great bar area and two good sized swimming pools. It also has its own Turkish bath.
I have stayed in many hotels in Calis Beach and this has to be the best hotel in Calis. It is ideal for families. The resort of Calis is amazing. It is a very small resort but don’t let that fool you; it has an amazing choice of restaurants all along the prom and plenty of bars to finish off the night!

We were at this hotel for two weeks in July. We found the hotel to be excellent, rooms were spotless as were all public areas in the hotel. We were in the old block, but this didn’t matter as the rooms were as nice as in the new block.
Hotel staff worked extremely hard and long hours, but they were still all very pleasant and helpful.
We had a heat wave while we were there with temperatures in the fifty's, thank goodness for air con which kept our room cool.
The owner of the hotel emptied the pool on more than one occasion and refilled it to get cold water again.
When we left the hotel the owner and his son Oykun were there to wave us off.
I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Second time we have stayed at the Oykun in Calis Beach and once again we couldn't have been happier.
The staff are all brilliant and the hotel with its 2 pools and plenty of sunbathing space are first class. The only mistake we made was not eating at the hotel.
We enjoyed going to the sea-front restaurants and never thought about eating at the hotel but, when we finally did, we wondered what we were doing as the meals were tastier, cheaper, and safer than eating out. Won't make that mistake again!!
To book meals at the hotel only costs an additional £5 per night for the set menu.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable hotel in a resort that is ideal for families, couples, and (early and late season), older people as the weather is more suitable.
Even though it was early May, we had wonderful weather with a refreshing cooler evening and night.

We have holidayed in many places but have never been as happy with our hotel and resort, as we have been at the Oykun in Calis.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable with free air conditioning and mesh at the windows to keep out the insects.
The breakfasts are the best ever with the tastiest bread, yoghurt, jams, drinks, cereals, preserves, cheeses etc and a chef waiting to prepare your eggs however you wish.
Breakfast is served in an open-sided dining room by the pool.
There are 2 lovely pools and plenty of sun beds for everyone and this year they have massages.
We are going back just like most of the people we met last year who go back year after year. It is like being a member of a family where everyone knows everyone else - home from home.
The restaurants by the beach are all brilliant. You choose what you want before looking at the price as the prices are never a problem.
So many restaurants and not enough nights to go to them all. One of our favourites was the Berk but we didn't have any meals that were not delicious and the staff make sure you have a great time. They are all the entertainment we needed.
See you there in May!

As a younger couple we stayed in Hotel Oykun for 2 weeks and we found it fantastic!! it is in such a idealic spot, as you can walk down to the beach and calis front, you can get a water taxi to fethiye and its just a bus ride from the more lively ouludinez!
we found the hotel to be spotless, lovely people and staff, lovely food just perfect! we will no doubt be going back!
the cleaners come everyday, and clean every inch of your room. the veiws from the balcony's are lovely and we found ourselves some nights just sitting out, watching the sun set onto the beach from our hotel room balcony!
if you are considering this hotel, please please please go, you will have the best time of your life, it is so perfect!! we wanted to stay for a month!!!
