Jul 2011, recharged and happy

Just spent two weeks at this hotel with my fiancé.Just look at most of the reviews and they are all good. I must give a special mention to Ali the pool man he just could not do enough for us. The rest of the staff were great including our chamber maid who went to great... more

It Depends
We had a pleasant stay at Dalyan Resort. If you are thinking in terms of a 5 star resort with spa, you'll probably be disappointed. If you focus on the fact that you only paid £40 a night for half board for two in a good hotel in an outstanding location, then you should be very pleased with yourself. We liked the riverside sundeck and cushioned pergola for relaxation. Although repetative, the food was good quality and value especially at the £2 each per night we paid; even though we used the restaurant only when we were too tired to... more
Disappointing.
We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We realised that this was probably the last week of the season so maybe our comments should be taken in that context but we found the choice of food available at both breakfast and dinner very limited, especially as they relied on doing some of the cooking outdoors and it rained on 4 of the days we were there. We would definitely not recommend booking half board as there are many excellent restaurants in the town and they were much better value for money. Also for part of our stay a group of... more
Loved the location and peacefulness
We have just returned from a week at Dalyan resort. The hotel is situated in a peaceful area of Dalyan, we found the standard room comfortable albeit on the small side. It did however, have lots of storage space. It is probably 5 star for turkey. I guess I would rate it as 3 to 4. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the river and scrubland which made it quieter than those overlooking the pool area and restaurant. Housekeeping was excellent and our bed was decorated with petals and the towels being folded into flower shapes one more than... more
Lovely location with minor irritations
This hotel has a lovely setting by the river. We had a suite which accomodated 2 children in a separate part of the room. The shower was fun but cleaning up the water from the poorly fitting doors wasn't. The staff were accomodating and friendly. The pool was large and there is a splash pool for young kids. However it is worth noting that the main pool is quite deep for kids under 12. The food was fine although I have had far more choice for both breakfast and evening mealin previous visits to Turkey. The food on offer was delicious - my... more
A perfect holiday
We stayed at this hotel from 12th to 26th Sept. 2007 and would certainly return. The temperature was perfect for us and the hotel was quiet as school holidays were over. The only criticism we can find is that the beds are just a fraction too firm. We flew with Goldtrail on Onur Airlines from Exeter airport but booked the hotel independently through Kaunos tours. Next time, knowing the place now, we will book direct with the hotel. We were quoted a high price for a suite but when we arrived at the hotel we saw that the price difference... more
Lovely hotel with a fantastic location
We have just returned home from a lovely relaxing week staying at the Dalyan Resort Hotel (one week was really not enough!). We arrived at 5.30 a.m. and were quickly checked in and shown to our room. The room, although compact, had everything you could need and was quite modern in design and very clean. After a few hours sleep we ventured for breakfast and get our bearnings. The pool and the hotel grounds are fantastic, plenty of loungers around the pool and lots of places to sit away from the pool if you wanted to - I especially... more
nice hotel but lacked character
beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. slightly regimented in that you were discouraged from bringing any food or drink into your room. we had a mini fridge in our room with one small bottle of water replaced daily. With temperatures in the high 40's we felt it was unrealistic to expect you not to bring in your own water and simply hid it in the wardrobe. The complimentary boat to the beach wasn't always running daily as we found out on our last day after returning specially from the town to go to the beach. Food was ok but a bit repetative... more
Relaxing stay at Dalyan Resort
We recently stayed at this hotel en route for another part of the coast, choosing it decause of its close proximity to the airport. After viewing the hotel website and other comments we chose a suite and would recommend this option as it gives a bedroom plus a sitting room, its own small terrace anda very snazzy power/ hydro shower within the bath. All was exceptionally clean and we paid a very reasonable price. The hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens and it was easy to find quiet spots to relax. The pool is large and has many sunbeds with... more
Discover the meaning of relaxation!
We decided on this holiday because of the ease of the flights (Friday, local airport) and the rave reviews of friends who had visited the area. We were not disapointed! The hotel is in an excellant position on the banks of the river just outside the resort centre (15 minutes walk, well lit at night). There are lovely views over the river towards the rock tombs and the village. Although a little compact, our room was very comfortable and extremely clean and well maintained. The public areas of the hotel were well kept and the staff very... more
Lovely place to relax
We came to Dalyan to relax, and that's exactly what this hotel allowed us to do. It sits on an ideal piece of land on the river, just across from Dalyan's famous Lycian tombs, which are carved into cliffs. The rooms curve around a big pool, which is right on the river's edge, and we spent hours relaxing and watching the boats go by. The staff was incredibly nice, and breakfast was wonderful...tables right on the river. Same with dinner...good food, great setting, incredibly romantic. At the same time, it's close to the center of town,... more
