On arrival at our hotel we were left by rep then escorted to our apartment in the dark. morning on checking apartment we found there was no lighting on balcony or stairwell only light switch being at the foot of stairs. Also damaged door lock in sitting room and balcony resulting in us being locked out on balcony. When my husband was finally able to climb over roof and out buildings to get help we were then told there were no other keys for apartment.
A member of staff then came and climbed back and was able to get in through kitchen area. Apart from the danger it may have been much worse for elderly or people with children. The general maintenance was very poor hairdryer broken but did get replaced but telephone and television never materialised also broken light cover and missing light bulb in sitting room.
The roof top restaurant which was never open despite the hotel being at full capacity and general attitude and level of cleanliness was poor as room was only cleaned as when we could arrange it ourselves due to there only being one key.
Besides the poor hotel accommodation we did have a lovely holiday in Hisaronu this being our third visit to the area we found everything else to be as usual a very friendly and beautiful area to visit. We will be back but never to the Destan.

The Destan Hotel is ideal for everyone - from those wanting a quiet relaxing holiday to those wanting to party all night and sleep all day.
The hotel has a large swimming pool, restaurant, pool bar - which serves meals all day and a games room. The rooms are a good size all with balconies or terraces. If you’re on the bottom floor then you will benefit from the rooms being a lot cooler during the very hot Turkish summer season.
Hisaronu itself is absolutely brilliant - there are numerous restaurants to eat in and people watch and as the night goes on the bars fill up and you can party into the night. I would 100% recommend "Talk Of The Town!" its a drag/cabaret show which is suitable for all ages. It runs Thurs-Sundays and the entrance price includes evening meal. The lads that do the show (Jamie, Anthony and Taz (drag) and Billy (singer) are brilliant at what they do! Plus they are all gorgeous.
Anyway I would recommend anyone to go to Turkey and especially Hisaronu - go on give it a try!

The hotel was lovely, very friendly staff with clean rooms and helpful staff. Rooms were lacking in storage space in bathroom only a wardrobe and a drawer for each person. TV in rooms was only local Turkish channels no sky. One side of the hotel did get noise from the Rock bar nearby.
The resort was excellent, had lots of shops and a great choice of restaurants to cater for all tastes. A Children’s meal can cost around £1.50 or slightly more depending on what you order. They all do the usual chicken nuggets, chips, beans etc, which are usually home made.
There were also lots of local travel agents in the village who offer a wide variety of trips from a 12 island boat trip for around £8 a day including lunch or a jeep safari around £15 (low season) including lunch.
The beach at Olu Deniz is 10 minutes away by Dolmus for roughly 2.4 lira and Fethiye is 20 mins away for 2.5 lira.

The Destan Hotel was very clean and the staff were more then helpful and very friendly. The rooms were on the small side but well equipped, and kept very clean. The bar-man, Veysi was a top bloke, and very helpful.
The Hotel is well situated in the middle of town. There was a good range of restaurants. One being the Festival, very nice interior and great food! Its ran by a lovely couple, one of which is English. Another place if you like fast food is the big pizza bar on the corner, just ask for Kevin.
Opposite is a small restaurant called the Piano, very nice here two and very friendly. The shops a plentiful, but always be prepared to bargain. One day trip which is worth while is a trip to the Ghost Town, is a long walk but worth it, bus ride is only 10 mins. See Alison at the stall by the bus stop, all hand made gifts, and unique too. Olu denz is worth a visit too. Don’t forget the market in the main town of Feithye on every Tuesday, just wonderful.
