This was my 3rd visit to this hotel, absolutely loved it just like the previous two times. This hotel really does have something for everyone; the location is perfect as it is just a 5 minute walk from the town- packed full of souvenir shops and fantastic restaurants... more

Just returned after a 2 week stay with my wife and 2 children aged 14 and 13. The apartments were in a hotel complex and were spotlessly clean. The towels and bed linen were changed regularly and the hotel staff were very friendly. You have to get up about 7:30 to get... more

A fantastic holiday!
This hotel has everything!! Perfect location, facilities, and staff! We spent two weeks here (4adults &4 children), and a great time was had by all. All the staff in the hotel work so hard to keep the hotel very clean and well maintained, and still found time to smile and be friendly to guests- nothing is a problem for them! The location of the hotel is perfect- very picturesque with beautiful views of the sea and the cove. It was also great to be so close to the heart of Cala D'or with the shops, restaurants and fun parks for the children. The food was very varied and delicious, and hygiene was of a high standard in all the restaurants and snack bars. We loved Happy Hour, and loved the waiter who jumped about the bar with the microphone! The children thoroughly enjoyed the mini disco and by the end the adults were joining in too! And we just HAD to buy the CD!!!!!! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all, especially to families with children and teenagers. Lots of people we spoke to visited this hotal year after year, and I can see why. Hopefully we will be returning at some point in the future!
Great holiday for our family
Date of stay 9th-19th July 2007 Booked on internet. Just returned from Cala Azul Park with my wife and two children, 14 and 9. We had a great holiday and the complex and accomodation fabulous. We stayed in a 1 bedroom self catering apartment, small but adequate, which was exceptionally clean with maid service 5 out of every 7 days. The swimming pool and surrounding area was immaculate but unless you went before 8am there was no chance of a sunbed due to all having towels on them. Beach at ajoining Esmarelda Park (acroos small road) very good but became very busy throughout the day. Reception staff were very helpful but we had to ask if they run any trips as this was not advertised anywhere. They had a comprehensive range of trips with a descriptive price guide and tickets could be purchased at reception but not always the cheapest. Choise of outdoor & indoor entertainment every night but rotated weekly. There were plenty of surrounding restaurants with ample choices. There are always little things to be critisised but nothing major worth mentioning. All in all a great holiday and I would recommend this as a good family resort.
Fantastic place to stay
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday. The Hotel/apartments ae fantastic for a 3* complex. We requested a sea view and it was amazing. The complea is a short walk into Cala D'or however it is a nice walk and the harbour is a must to see. A little train does go into the centre of Cala D'or but we did not use this. The pool is lovely and there is more than one, within the complex and the beaches are very clean however due to the time of year the sea was very cold. The resort is very focused on famlies and not much for teenagers however it is lovely to spend time to unwind and recharge. We went for a massage and this was reasonable and lovely to unwind more. We have no children but did notice the childrens club which all children seemed to be enjoying. We are mid twenties and we enjoyed the relaxing nature of Cala D'or and the fantasic food (however we did not eat in the hotel). I would return to this complex.
THE place to stay!!!
just spent the 1st week of october at cala azul park, the best place we've ever stayed in europe! The cleanliness is second to none, only 3 storeys high. We asked travel agent for ground floor and pool view which is what we got plus sea view. The rooms are extremely high standard and the staff very helpful. Several pools, and the complex is huge including the esmeralda but not overpowering. We would definitely return there as we love cala d'or. Also visited cala egos one evening near the marina to see some friends, this is a smaller town but extremely nice. Loads of good places to eat. #the best english breakfast is at Duke of Devonshire, and don't miss the American Rib joint near the Hollywood bar, amazing food there. Ate out every night and did not have one poor meal. The Chinese restaurant just round the corner from Azul Park is excellent too. Lots to do for everyone. Next time we go we will get a taxi from the airport as the transfer time at this time of year by coach (both arriving and returning) was far too long due to drop offs and pick ups. For some reason when we went there in june/july this was much shorter. Moira and Steve, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire.
immaculate complex
Spent 2 weeks in Cala D'or staying at the Azul Park in Sept '06 This complex is kept amazingly clean and tidy - they even wash the bins and the lamposts! Facilities and staff are superb. Location is also the best in Cala Do'r - away from any noise and just 5-10 minutes walk from the main bars and restaurants area. If you are considering staying at the Azul / Esmerelda complex then try and obtain a room in the Azul Park or Esmerelda Park blocks as the Azul Gardens and Ezmerelda Gardens blocks are not in quite as good locations. Looking for a good price meal - try the Es Caliu in town - three courses from the menu of the day, including wine or water (before 7.30pm) - 9 Euros! GH - Hertfordshire
E X C E L L E N T !!!!
We have just returned from Azul Park, had two fabulous weeks. Stayed there last year, and were so impressed, best accomodation in the resort. Apartments brilliant, very clean, clean towels every day, bedding changed regularly. all staff very helpful and friendly. Pools and sunbeds cleaned daily. Excellent terrace cafe / bar. with beautiful view across bay. Beach couple of mins away. Weekly barbecue. Good range of daily activities for adults / children. In a quiet position, just off main road, but less than 5 mins from shops bars restaurants, so best of both worlds. Good play areas close by for children. Shouldn't really recomend it really, as it's a little secret jewel in Cala D'or. Perfect for families / couples. Loca bus stops just outside to take you to various resorts/ attractions. Also little road train stops outside, will take you to Cala Egos next door, another nice area, a bit quieter. Glass bottom boat trip leaves from beach by the apartments, good fun. The best family holiday ever!!!
This holiday was one of the best holidays we have ever had. We took two children 10 and 12 they really enjoyed it aswell because there is a lot to do for the children at night lots of fun parks. It was really nice aswell because the weather was perfect. The beach is beautifull there was lots of wonderfull fish to look at in the sea too. The restuaront in the hotel is absolute must there is lots of spectacullare food it was really good value too. The pool is really clean, there is a baby pool if you have a baby, there is a shallow pool and big pool aswell, which are spotlessly clean. I would really recomend this holiday there is so much to do. We'll be back!!
Loved It
Date - July 2006 Reviewer - New user to Trip Advisor Our first holiday abroad with our 19 month old daughter and it was fantastic, self catering rooms clean and maid service excellant she even made sure we had clean towels for her day off. Pool clean and plenty of loungers my daughter loved the baby pool. Beach only a short walk away (5 minutes within the hotel complex). Restuarants, few bars and shops again within a five minute walk. Restuarants great for kids gave free colouring books to keep them amused while waiting for dinner, some had small play areas, great with a 19 month old to occupy. Not to busy within this resort though so if you want a lively holiday it would not suit you. We found it great especially with a baby no noise from discos/bars could relax and enjoy the great veiw from our room overlooking a small bay in the resort. Going back to Cala D'or next year as we loved it, trying a differant hotel but it will have a lot to live up to as the Cala Azul/Esmerelda was excellant would definatly go back. Fantastic holiday.
Good experience in high-season
Spent 2 weeks in Cala Azul Park, which overall was a nice experience. Apartment ok, but a little small for 2 grownups and 2 teenagers - if you have big children it's ok for a week, but not for two! Area quiet, ie. a family resort - well kept, great pool area and a nice staff - and have the advantage of own acess to the sea. Recommended but primarily for grownups, seniors or families with small kids.
Too many steps!
Just returned from one week in sunny Majorca stayed in Cala Azul Park which was great no complaints apart from the ever lasting steps. Steps to beach, steps to restaurants, steps to shops, we travelled with our 15 months old son in a buggy and we spent our time lifting buggy and him everywhere. Apartments clean and pools fab, but beach (which is great) down a number of steps. Cala Azul Park and its resort is for couples or older families, kids round 7, 8 and 9 would love the amusements etc. Avoid if you are travelling with baby.
