" Absolutely fantastic resort. I have... "

Absolutely fantastic resort. I have no complaints what so ever. I'd recommend it to anybody! The only downside I would have is the towel situation... but pack a few of your own towels and you can't go wrong! If you’re a youngster like me then the night-life in Cala D'Or is brilliant! If you walk out the hotel and turn right and keep walking for about 15 mins you’ll come to the square which is open till 4.30am, then downstairs there is the club called "sound republic" which is then open till 6.30am and which hosts different events each night; my favourite being the wet t-shirt with the ladies! Also the Hacienda music bar is also a great choice for a night out with karaoke and dancing all night long!

" Cala D'or is a must destination for... "

Cala D'or is a must destination for people who enjoy eating out as the choice of restaurants within Cala D'or Square is superb.

Our Introtel hotel based in Cala Esmeralda, had 3 separate hotels within the complex.

Unfortunately we were placed in the Azul Gardens which is on the other side of the road from the other 2.

The apartment itself was lovely. Very clean and spacious with a view overlooking the pool, but with plenty of greenery. It had a good size bedroom with 2 separate beds and a door leading to a good roomy balcony.

The lounge had 2 separate sofa beds with the option of a 3rd pull out bed, again with large patio windows & access to the balcony. The apartment was cleaned 5 out of 7 days, however the towels were only changed every 3 days.

The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful.

The beaches in Cala D'or are stunning however they are tiny sandy coves so if you like space around you and your towel it may not be the place for you.

The marina in Cala D'or town is worth a visit it's within easy walking distance. Nice to see how you could spend your lottery winnings.

There is a tourist road train that runs every hour that covers the whole resort, so I'd recommend a ride on that early on in your stay, helps you find your bearings.

We had an excursion on the Starfish boat that pick up from every Cala D'or bay. We opted for the 2 hour sea adventure. Think the name was leading us to believe it would be slightly more exciting than it was, but it was lovely to see all the coastline, and bays around that side of the island.

We also went on a tour operator excursion to Pirates Adventure in Magaluf. This is a must for anyone who enjoys action packed live shows. This is the 3rd time in 4 years that I have seen the show and every time it leaves me breathless. (that may be the young male acrobats)

We had a great holiday. The kids loved going to the tour operator run kids club, Donkey Kongs. That run for 2 hours a day 6 days a week.

The only gripe we had was with the Thomas Cook reps on the transfer to & from the resort. Unfortunately they don't seem to have the set up of the 3 hotels sorted out and we were left to our own devices to trail around 3 separate reception desks, (which were quite a distance from each other, including crossing a road) with 4 suitcases, loads of bags & 2 very tired & grumpy children.

A similar thing happened on our collection. Our rep had informed us we would be collected on our side of the road, so we all waited with all our cases, to have the coach stop on the other side of the road so again we had to drag all of the cases across a busy road.

I would visit Cala D'or again and stay in the Introtel chain, but would probably stay closer to Cala D'or town.
