Most horrendous place i have ever stayed in my life! I changed hotel on day 10 and ended up at horizon hotel which was much better. The manager of hotel was great, the bar staff were soo friendly...but as for the rest that was a hugeee downfall. The bathroom door was hanging off, the balcony door was boken, i had problems with some staff etc. Yet the food was great...some staff were great, esp the girls behind the bar.....view was gorgeous...the pool was great and was a fab spot to catch the sun rays! I would advise people for the horizon but not for this hotel. This hotel doesnt deserve no more than a rating of 2.

Hotel is very clean and staff very friendly. Our room was basic but the cleaner was in every day. Food and drink in hotel was very good and it was only a short walk to the beach. Plenty entertainment, restaraunts and shops nearby. It was also nice to come back to hotel at night and have a quiet drink without getting involved in karaoke or dancing with the belly dancer. My wife and i will be going back there. Thanks to all the staff.

I feel bad for leaving a seven rating but I do not feel that it deserves more at the same time. The hotel staff are so friendly and are always there to help you. The prices are very cheep in the bar and the staff will bring your drinks to your sun lounger without asking for a tip. The hotel was very clean, no cockroaches, fly nets in rooms so no bites at night and the situation of the hotel was in a nice quiet area. Maybe the area has become more of a couples resort over the last few years.
The reason I was not totally satisfied with the hotel was a couple I met by the pool left the hotel after four days. They had claimed that money went missing after room service had been round. This put me on edge and I started noticing little things missing. Maybe the maids thought that the phone-card and open packet of cigs were rubbish and threw them away but after hearing what they had done it made me wonder.
The area was very nice, less than a minutes walk to beach, 2 minutes to lively bars and 3 restaurants surrounding. The bars are made to turn the music off at 2 o'clock but they are just far enough away from the hotel to not keep you awake.
There is a lot of hassle from bar staff but there is a good reason for there efforts. Many bar staff do not get paid and rely on tips accumulated over the night. They do not just hassle you into the bars, the wait on your table, their always there to remove your empty glasses and entertain you constantly.
I do recommend Hotel Class after staying there but just to put your mind at ease on any holiday, buy a safety deposit box (only £5. If you do not have a safety deposit box you cannot claim for loss of belongings).

Class Hotel was lovely and clean although the bathroom was quite small, the room was clean and adequate, the staff were friendly they even toasted our bread for us in the mornings .Bless... the breakfast was a Turkish breakfast.
The hotel manager was very helpful he even posted our post cards for us. (Not a lot of post boxes we found). We made friends with lots of people and it is very close to the beach about 2-4 mins walk if you don’t get hassled on the way.
The only thing that spoiled our stay in Altinkum was the hassling although as I said we made friends along the way. The pool does not have a shallow end but they do have a small children’s pool.
There are many restaurants all close by and if you go right to the other end of the road you will come to the second beach with more restaurants, shops and clubs plus the harbour. If you want a drink or snack in the day you can get these on site also your bottled water. A pleasant stay for us at the Class Hotel.

Having stayed at the Class for past 5 years, Spring and Summer, it was a shock to find that there was 'No Room at The Inn' as it were. We had booked consistently for the past two years for a group of 20+, family and friends, and overall had no problems.
The staff were always nice and courteous, the rooms were clean and the pool was spotless. I can't really say too much wrong about the place. In fact I shouted its praises wherever I went. Until now! When you turn up to a hotel with family and friends in tow and are told that there won’t be a room for you for the next 4 days, it is devastating.
The offer to stay in the Hotel up the road, basically a 3 storey dog kennel, was insulting. Height of summer, nowhere else to stay and its late at night. We survived; I won't say that we didn't. We knew enough people who could help so we weren't stranded, but I will never stay there again. I will probably miss the regular staff because it wasn't their fault.
The management was to blame but they never came to the desk to see us, they dropped us like hot rocks! Shame really because bad news always travel faster than good news.

We have stayed at the class hotel on 5 occasions and have always found the staff very friendly, the hotel very clean. The rooms may be on the small side but they are adequate, there is ample wardrobe space and each room has a small balcony. The bathrooms, well they are more like wet rooms, are typical of all Turkish hotel bathrooms.
The hotel is light and airy, and for £20 a week you can have air- conditioning in your room. The patio doors all have mosquito doors fitted so at night if its too warm you can open the balcony doors, leave the mosquito doors closed and not be bitten to death next morning !
The cleaners are lovely, so friendly, and always smiling. Just across the road there are bars and restaurants, the Effosus is always a good bet for a meal, and Charlie’s bar have happy hour from 9pm - 12 midnight where drinks are 2 for 1. But the best restaurant by far is Izmirs, and its not dear either, the food is beautiful.
We have always been very satisfied with this hotel and wouldn’t be afraid to recommend it, we took friends there this year and they too loved it. If there is a fault it is the breakfasts are rather monotonous, it’s a typical Turkish breakfast everyday, but by the same token they don’t mind you taking boxes of cereals into the dining room.
The hotel has quite a large, odd shaped swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, all of which are free, a pool bar, and a large outdoor area with tables and chairs. The class is situated in a most convenient spot for all amenities . The Tuntas is a better hotel, this is the class's sister hotel, but you pay a lot more. Class Hotel....Recommended.

The flight arrived on time at Bodrum Milas Airport only then to be held up by the rep on the coach transfer. There was a slight misunderstanding between the rep and the driver and the coach left around one hour late. Thomas Cook informed us that the journey from the airport to the resort was approximately one and a half hours! Please, it was at least two hours and fifteen minutes.
We have to admit looking at the rest of the hotels on drop off I felt fortunate and relieved when we got to the Class Hotel. One of the hotels we stopped off at looked like a set of council flats. Poor people who had to stay there! First impressions of Turkey were "Oh no, is this the third world". We usually holiday in the Canaries or Balearics and this was our first time to Turkey. First impressions were a bit of a shock to the system.
On arrival at the Class Hotel we received a warm welcome from the hotel manager. Although we had not booked a sea view room he kindly allocated one to us without any cost, which we thought was very good. The interior of the hotel was very clean and quite modern. We thought at one stage that our luggage had been snatched only then to see an elderly porter running into the lift with them! When he got to our room he eagerly awaited his tip. Being rather stupid and typically British we gave him 2,000,000 lira which we thought was a lot of money, but only turned out to be 60p. I nearly collapsed with embarrassment! Never mind, we didn’t know.
The room was comfortably furnished with twin beds, carpet, dressing table, basic bathroom and wardrobe storage space. However the room lacked drawer space and the beds were too hard. Everything else was adequate. That same morning due to a night flight we went down to the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast was buffet style and consisted of olives, bread, boiled egg, cucumber, sheep’s cheese, and tomatoes. You helped yourself to juice, coffee and tea.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive at all times. Due to our own fault we chose the wrong time of year to travel. It was the British and Turkish holidays. Far too many kids making a lot of noise and misbehaving, believe it or not more so the Turkish children! They are very naughty. We had the misfortune of being accommodated next to a family room and it was bang bang bang all night.
The bar prices were very reasonable, around 90p for a large beer, 60p for a soft drink and 30p for a large water. The pool was nice and inviting and not cold. Plentiful sun beds and parasols, free of charge.
Altinkum: - Not for anyone who is looking for a restful and peaceful break. The resort is quite loud and aimed at those who like lots of activities, sun, sea and sand. There is also far too much hassle from the Turkish people to get you into their bars and they just won’t take no for an answer. If they allowed you to make your own decision I am sure they would attract more customers. You can pay anything from 60p to £1.50 for a beer, and up to £8.00 for a one-course meal. It is not as cheap as people made out to us before we went. We would recommend the Elite restaurant, 60p for a large beer and £3.49 for a three-course meal. The cane chairs were we sat overlooks the sea. Cheers and Panorama bar’s are also very nice but more expensive.
One last thing, when you depart for Bodrum Milas Airport do not buy any drinks at the cafe’s. We made the mistake and paid £2.30 for a small coffee and £5.10 for a large beer, absolutely scandalous. Next year we have booked for Icmeler, which we have been told is much more sedate and relaxing; however the price reflects it. The Altinkum holiday was £281 per person, half board, 3 stars, 14 nights. Icmeler is £412 per person, bed and breakfast, 2 stars, 14 nights. It really depends what you are looking for in a holiday.

This is the 1st time i have stayed at the Class Hotel in Altinkum. Pictures from the web looked stunning and on arrival we werent dissapointed untill we were shown to our room. The room was filthy, ants crawling on the carpet and wall, buckets hadnt been emptied, shower was filthy anf the toilet clearly hadnt been cleaned in a while!! I really wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone!
Thomas Cook were very un-helpful. The only decent part of the hotel was the pool and the girl behind the bar who was very helpful. The hotel staff hardly spoke english and we were treated like animals after reporting the state of the room. The day of departure arrived and the staff wouldnt even help lift our cases down the stairs. We werent allowed to keep our room for an extra few hours (apparently the hotel was fully booked) so packed at 11am and had to hang around untill 10pm. The manager then approached us mid afternoon and said we could have our room back for 2hours at the cost of £10 which we accepted. Overall i would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel, a real dissapointment considering i have travelled to Turkey for the past 6 years!! The only saving grace was the hotel next door. The staff were amzing, even offered their facilities free of charge! Really great guys!!
