Great base for an enjoyable holiday
from Cirdan
We had a week 'free' as a timeshare promotion. Arrived late on Saturay night and booked in after having to pay the 'security' deposit. and rented the activator for the safe.(No mention of these gems from our pre booking blurb) Our rooms were ground floor with patio windows looking out to the quiet road outside. A little worried by security issues having read previous reviews we left these closed. Some of the concrete paving and steps are in need of repair but generally I feel that this is not a bad resort on balance, the best part being the...

A great time in a new resort for us after 20 years of visiting Tenerife
from CarolineofDunorlan
having visited various resorts in southern tenerife over the last 20 years this was a new location for us. we were a bit apprehensive having read the review saying there were lots and lots of cockroaches but we found only one and he was swiftly despatched. the apartment was very roomy although the kitchen/lounge area was dark as there were no windows. however, the bedrooms each had double patio doors onto a large balcony overlooking a side street with a view onto the sea. we found reception and poolside cafe staff very friendly and helpful...

Beware of the bins!!!!
from parrott26
Arriving early evening to Los Olivos we were directed to our room a ground floor apartment (1043). Nice and clean and tidy and fine for our family stay, plenty of extras safe, iron, ironing board etc. BUT the smell of the bins was awful, having no air con meant having to open the balcony doors and we found all hotel bins were kept in cupboard under our balcony. we decided that with plenty of air freshener we would manage, But 3.30am in the morning.......every morning the bins are emptied, noise and more smell. Apart from this the...

Wicked apartments!
from jade83
Loved these apartments. Pool was lovely, had just been redone i think, pool bar was nice, only opened a few days into our stay. the apartmnets are in a good location, could see the sea from our roof terrace. Was really pleased with the apartment we were given, overlooked the pool and very clean. Be wary of the food you buy in the onsite shop, couple of things i noticed were out of date. Had an incident with a couple of cockroaches in our room, buts its tenerife, get used to it! lol. didnt ruin anything because the location is lovely, the...

Not a mouse in the house...
from JohnB61
People are funny... their holiday is ruined because a mouse or a cockroach finds it's way into their room. YOU ARE IN A HOT COUNTRY WHERE MICE AND COCKROACHES LIVE - YOU ARE THE VISITOR! Jeez! You'd think GB or the USA don't have them. And if one of the local critters decides it's going to visit your room, there's not a lot the hotel management can do about it. An ifestation's one thing, but the odd one? Get real. Anyway, got that off my chest... to Los Olivos. Well, I liked my room. I can see that if you found yourself in one of the...

Loved it
from A TripAdvisor Member
Just back from a weeks stay in the Los Olivos complex, and would happily go back tommorrow! The location of the complex was excellent - Just off the blue flag beach. The promenade in Playa Fanabe is beautiful, with upmarket shops and restaurants. The market which is held on a thursday & sunday is at the opposite end of the beach - about a 5 min walk, where you can pick up a bargain or two! The prices for things such as electrical goods, handbags, leather goods were much better than downtown las americas which we found strange as the...

Not as Bad As People Make Out
from A TripAdvisor Member
After reading reviews about these apartments I was very wary of staying here but after two weeks I can safely say that I had no major complaints about these apartments. The maids came every day execpt a Sunday and the towels and bed linen was changed every 2nd day. There were at least 2 security guards on duty every night which patrolled every corner of the complex. The only thing wrong with the apartments was the lack of air conditioning but you can rent a fan from reception for 20 euros a week. A cheaper solution is leaving both the...

more than a mouse
from valkirky
We have holidayed in Tenerife for the last 4 years, usually stay in the Paradise Club(in the heights), but as we found ourselves usually out and about in Fanabe, decided to try accomodation in that area. The apartments themselves, were basic but clean. When we checked in we were not even told about the safety deposit box, so went right back to reception to get one. Glad we did, as the 2nd evening, about 6.00pm, a man tried to come in our bedroom window! obviously we scared him away, but were really quite anxious. We went to...

Mouse in Room
from Dougie
Just returned from a weeks holiday at Lagos de Fanabe Phase 2 also known as Los Olivos. good weather, good area and good local restaurants. But! Holiday spoilt by finding a mouse in the room. Reported incident to reception who happily agreed to a change of room. As a goodwill gesture the resort agreed that my Family (2 adults, 5yr old child and 76yr old mother) would be allowed to stay on later in the room (10.00am checkout) on the last day at no extra charge. On the last day we were asked why we had not vacated the room...

Los Olivos is a moderatelly sized resort in a very convenient position for the prom. and shops in Playa de las Americas. We were impressed with the helpfulness of the staff and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. My wife accidently left... more
