myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 1 week at the end of july.
this was our first visit to tunisia and this hotel was superb.
the hotel is very impressive indeed, the food was good and varied and the staff are friendly and helpful.
one tip i would give is dont use any of the telephones in the hotel as they are very expensive,i was charged £1.50 for what seemed like a 30 sec call.
the payphones which you can find at various shops are very cheap ( 1 dinar seems to last for ever!)
there are only 2 things i could be critical of............the range of alcoholic drinks is limited.
i expected locally sourced drinks but the selection was poor......gin,whisky,brandy and vodka (very weak!) a few martini type drinks and a few tunisian spirits which were strong! and that was it aside from celtia lager.
i am sure they could source the kind of local equivalent you can get on the spanish holiday resorts, such as malibu, jack daniels, peach schnapps etc.
i dont drink much at home and i had hoped to enjoy the "all inclusive" drinks but i only drank vodka and celtia.
a late night snack bar would also have been good as we were never that hungry when i came to the evening meal but was peckish late at night.
those 2 points aside,if we go back to tunisia then this is where we will stay beyond any doubt.
one final point...........you have to get out early with the towels as there are lots of germans!!!!!!!

This was me and my boyfriends first 4* AI experience and definatly wont be the last! Monastir airport is lovely with some good duty free on the way back. The transfer was quick and on arrival at Bellvue we were greeted with alcoholic cocktails and a bellboy took our bags to he room who also refused a tip! Rooms were spacious, with seperate wc and bath/shower which helped with the ddgy tummy days haha. Rooms immaculate but did have quite a lot of ants, but very few cockroaches. We could have moved but loved our view. Towels changed when you left them in the bath and bedding changed daily. Maids were lovley leavng fresh flowers on bed and a rose each day and also folded towels/night wear into sweet fan shapes.
ALL staff were so lovely and really made the hotel special, even the hotel manager had a drink with us and was very entertaining.
Pools were clean but very warm! Beach clean but lot of seaweed but you could walk to find a clearer spot.
We did have to reserve the sunbeds we wanted at 6am as there were a lot of germans there with their flags flying high. So we had our england beach towel on display and found the english sat roud us by the pool so we made some great brit friends aswell as sweedish and french.
There was always something different to eat, with the a la carte offered once per week but had quite a small menu. We had our anniversary there and our waiter decorated the table with flowers and even brought us champagne at @ very reduced price!!! On site disco was good fun but was quiet but we managed to have a dance with the hotel staff who mostly lived on site and were always around to have an in dpeth convo rregarding the culture or a chit chat about sod all!!!
Taxi's were definalty an experience, just make sure you set the price before the doors close.
HAGGLE EVERYTHING!!! We would say last day no more money and that would do the trick.
Beware though, the rep told us the earby shop was open 24hr, he lied!!!
We did feel safer walking around late @ nite whereas not so much back home in blighty.
We had no problems bar the fridge not working but when we told reception was swiftly sorted. Ad the ants which only started biting on the las couple of days when the germans had gone haha
The spa onsite was fantastic value for money, but they do try to sell the packages but they do offer all treatments seperatly.
We tipped on the first day and got fab service then on the last day, they all work so hard though and deserve it!
Very hot and humid all the time so take plenty of suncream!!
Didn't want to go home. Lots of excursions available. Brill hol!!!!

We have just returned from a holiday in the Riu - first time we stayed at a Riu hotel.
The hotel reception area was very impressive, the rooms we stayed in was of a reasonable size and cleaned everyday - the standard of the cleaning was very good.
The food was very nice although i did miss the option of dinining around that we have had in some other hotels we have stayed in but nevertheless the selection was good and had a huge salad bar - which was excellent.
The pool was very big and clean - the indoor one was a little dirty though. The beach was amazing. The sand is like flour - very soft and white, rubbish was always cleaned up for the following day.
The hotel was a little noisy at night - as we were facing the pool the beach bar entertainment continued until about 12 midnight. As we have a small child sometimes we liked to go back to the room early - the option of sleeping was not possible due to the noise sometimes. I completely understand that there is going to be a bit of a noise but the volume really was too loud - to the point where we heard what they were saying on the microphone or what songs they were playing - that really is too loud, a little bit of a thud thud is ok but not when you could sing along to the songs! However this did calm down after i spoke to reception about it.
Even though we originally asked for a quiet room about 9-10 days into the holiday we were woken up at about 12.30am to the sound of music. I opened our door to our room and the music seemed to be coming from a room right near our room, after looking it seemed that there was a nightclub actually inside the hotel about 10 metres away from our room.
I have to say i was not impressed with this to say the least as we had already complained about the noise from the beach bar - the reception staff did not mention that our room was right near the night club actually inside the hotel! I requested that they move us immediately - which they did the next day.
There is also one other thing that i would like to mention with people with families. The hotel does attract an awful lot of German and French tourists - now for us adults this isn't a problem but for kids who want to play with other kids it might be a problem as they cannot communicate with one another. There were not many English couples or families when we went - the entertainment at night especially for the kids (the mini disco) was all in German, my daughter was the only English girl in the kids club during the day, the rest were German children. Not that she was to phased by this, it was a bit of a problem as most of the communication was in German.
Other than the couple of points above it is a nice hotel, we met some very nice people there from all nationalities , however as the younger children do not speak English my daughter did have a problem communicating and playing with them.

Bellevue Park is a very nice 4* hotel which has just been upgraded to a 5*.
We found the staff were especially friendly and helpful. We were amazed at the barman in the upstairs bar, not only was did he remember your nationality and greet you appropriately, but he was superefficient remembering more than 5 orders at a time.
The food was excellent. We were a bit dubious beforehand after our last all inclusive holiday, however, the choice was vast and the quality good. We never went hungry and we didn't have any complaints.
The first room we had, although clean and huge, overlooked a building site, so after a quck visit to the reception we were offered one of the biggest suites in the hotel overlooking the pool. It was enormous.
The Hotel is about 3km away from the port and is a 45min walk which was ok. Although in the immediate vicinity there are a couple of shops, the rest looks derelict.
The beach wasn't very nice and if you are into beach holidays it isn't for you. A couple of days before we arrived there had been a big storm which had brought mountains of seaweed onto the beach. You had to walk through a wall about 3ft high to get into the sea which was also full of seaweed. The diggers came but all they did was make an even bigger mountain (about 9ft). Aparantly they are not allowed to remove it and have to put it back into the sea. In our week there we spent about 10 mins on the beach, the smell wasn't too great.
The entertainment crew "amimation" were fine during the day as there was always something going on, however, in the evening it was rubbish. In fact is was so bad it was funny. We went most night to see what was going on but only lasted 1 complete evening and that was just to laugh at them.
Overall we had a great time. The staff were brilliant, the hotel very clean (including the pool) and the food excellent.

So sad to leave! The food in the hotel was the best I have EVER eaten. Staff are fab. Ants??? So what if there are a few. I quite liked the few I saw! You must be a missrable sod to give this hotel less than 9. I have stayed in many hotels but this was the best. The only warning- dont go on the pirate ship, it makes you sick and it smells nasty. All in all, its worth every penny! Can't wait to return!

I know 10 is a very high score but that is how much i enjoyed it, although it was in a secluded area you had everything you needed in this hotel and it was right next to the beach. It is a must to go all inclusive as the food and drink is outstanding!
The animation team were fantastic and all had there individual personalities to bring to the show on a night. During the day too they would make sure the kids had things to do and also the adults such as darts and tennis. I have to say my favourite animation member was Timy as he was just so lovely to me and my family which i really apreciate and cant thank him enough.
People there are so lovely and you just get waited on hand and foot. Consider this destination and hotel because i do not think you will regret it.

First time in Tunisia and won't be our last!! Booking to go again in April 08.
Me and my wife went to check out Tunisia to see if it was suitable to take our 7 year old son to next year. We stayed at the Riu Club Hotel Bellevue Park, and what can I say the hotel is BEAUTIFUL only being refurbished last year by Riu.
The staff are very friendly and will do anything for you. The food was absolutely gorgeous and drinks were good too not as large measures as in Spain but when they are free what the hell you just drink more if you want to get tipsy. Tip the waiters a few times and you don't even have to go to the bar, I was told to go sit down when I tried and our drinks were fetched all night!!!
December is popular with the older crowd but despite being a lot younger than most of the hotel guests we had a whale of a time.
Our room had a pool and sea view and was very clean as was the entire hotel, we had a free safe and free fridge in our room both of these we had to pay for on previous holidays to Ibiza.
Port el Kantoui is very nice and we were not hassled very much only being politely invited into shops and if you say no thanks it was left at that.
Also nearby to the Riu Club Hotel Bellevue Park, are a couple of fixed price stores one of which " Miami" is on about 5 floors and they are very good value, My wife was in handbag heaven in there.
I also hired a catamaran with a friend from the harbour for a 2 1/2 hour fishing trip which they supplied the gear for only cost us £30 between us and we had the boat to ourselves other than the crazy captain who caught far more fish than both of us.
Weather wise December is a lot warmer in Tunisia than at home wore shorts every day and got a tan by the end of the week most days were round 70'f.
In summer the hotel has a kids club and will be good for kid’s pool is large and the type that goes shallow at the edge also has a kid’s pool and indoor pools as well.
Free gym near indoor pool and also a spa onsite but you do have to pay for this but good value a 50 min massage was £12.00.
The hotel has direct access onto the beach and you can walk down the beach right to the port takes around 25 mins or you can get a taxi at hotel gates for about £1.60.
See you there first week in April.

Our first visit to Tunisia and to Port El Kantaoui. The hotel was fantastic could not find fault in any way.
The bedrooms were very roomy, plenty of wardrobe space, TV but only BBC world and CNN in English, room safe and mini fridge supplied FOC first for us, as we normally have to pay extra for a room safe.
Room’s cleaned and fresh towels and sheets everyday if needed lovely view from the balcony over the pool area and sea view.
Plenty of variety at meal times you would have to be very fussy not to find something to your taste, you have to remember that you are not in the UK and don’t expect full English for breakfast, eggs every day but bacon maybe twice per week and certainly not your best back.
Plenty of variety at lunch and dinner with themed evenings twice per week, staff always helpful, and tables cleared immediately you finish.
Entertainment - what can I say EXCELLENT! The 'animation' team which was made up of 5 lads and 2 girls worked extremely hard from 10am until 11pm with constant smiles on their faces ~ genuine smiles as they all seemed to enjoy every minute of every day and they were always courteous, happy and helpful.
You could choose from early morning exercise, darts, volley ball, boules, and archery throughout the day to the night time entertainment which surpassed all our expectations.
Very professional shows every night put on by the lads. Certainly recommend this hotel.

We have travelled to Tunisia many many times and have always found it to be fine. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that our room wasn't ready and had to go for lunch first. First impressions were fine. When we were shown to our room, it seemed ok, but after about an hour, we noticed ants - thousands of them pouring out of every orifice. We had to change rooms as we couldn't put up with them. We know you get ants in hot countries, but as well travelled tourists, we can honestly say we've never ever had them in the hotel room.
The food was fine, always served hot, and you could sit anywhere for your breakfast and lunch but were allocated a table for evening meals.
The pools were lovely and plenty of sunbeds and parasols, no need to reserve your sunbeds no matter what time of day you went down to the pool there were plenty left. The beach area also had lots of sunbeds and the area was very clean.
Overall, the episode with the ants spoilt our holiday, we weren't the only ones it seemed everyone along our corridor had the same problem. What a shame. We wouldn't return to this hotel.

Having just returned from spending 1 week at this hotel I can definitely say I would return.
The hotel is a short taxi ride from the main marina area which costs about 4 dinar - £1.80, the hotel has an indoor pool and Jacuzzi which didn't seem to get used much whilst we were there. My partner used the gym every day and was quite happy with the various machines available.
The staff are very friendly, give them a tip and your drinks are poured as you start walking towards the bar!
The food was fine, although as with most all inclusive it does tend to get a bit boring after a week.. Pizza and chips available every lunchtime...the food was always hot and we never had any problems with food running out, although watch out for the Russians who just barge in and fill their plates as if food were going out of fashion.
The rooms were spacious and we had a view overlooking the pool area, we never had any problems getting sunbeds or towels. The rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels left.
Although friends that we met were without towels 2 days in a row...one call to reception and they were sent up. TIP - take your own hairdryer unless you have a short hair, as the hairdryer is useless!
The hotel is located directly onto the beach where you can go off on a jet ski or Para sailing...this was an ideal 1 week chill holiday.

On arrival, we were impressed with the hotel, the lobby is gorgeous. We were given a welcome drink then shown to our room which appeared nice to start with. needed a little attention but that didn’t bother us.
The pool area was large having a children’s pool and an adult pool. Plenty of sunbeds to go round with spare ones too even though the hotel was full. The beach was nice and sandy also had plenty of sunbeds.
The restaurant was fine, you could sit anywhere for breakfast and lunch, but were allocated a table for evening meal. However if you didn’t like where the waiter put you, you could ask to be moved. The food was nice and plentiful, with plenty of choice.
The only downside to our holiday was the fact that our room was overrun with ants, lots of them. They were pouring out of the holes left around the doorframes, patio, skirting boards etc. We weren’t the only ones to suffer; lots of people on our corridor all had the same problem. Pest control wasn’t very effective, neither was the recent renovation. Oh well, there’s always the next holiday to look forward to as we didn’t relax thanks to the ants.
