I actually went out to Altinkum as my father had had a heart attack there. My father was in hospital and my mother had nowhere to stay as their holiday was over, due to come home that evening, hence no place to stay. A very good friend of the owner of Spice apartments... more

What can i say, this one of the worst holiday hotels my family and i have ever stayed in. As soon as the coach pulled up outside of the hotel to drop us off my heart sank. It looked run down and dreary. The room was very basic and fittings were broken as well as door locks.... more

I stayed at the spice apartments for two weeks with my two children. I only used the pool once as we like the beach. The rooms were basic but they were clean. I found the staff too in your face about drinking in the hotel bar and eating in the hotel rest. I don't go on... more

What a shambles! This place is disgusting. It's filthy. The apartments are dirty, run down and dangerous. The pool is a health hazard. While we were there, we and other guests ( or is that victims?!) found water beetles living in the pool - happily swimming with our kids!... more

rooms not too bad needed some repairs done that were not done in our 2 week stay even tho they were reported on day 1 and again on day 3, make sure you pay for your drinks as you buy them otherwise they add more onto your bill, do not take your young daughters to spice most... more

Definitely Not Recommended from TJMSM
Would NOT recommend this "hotel" to my worst enemy. Place was dirty, their idea of cleaning is to drag a wet dirty mop around the floor. Stayed 3 weeks in this dive. Apartment was cleaned once in first week, no fresh towels until demanded from reception. No bedding for 5th member of our party for first two days. After many complaints and getting H4U Rep involved, managed to get cleaners in twice a week for 2nd and 3rd week. The SPICE APARTMENTS are a right dive when we arrived we were put on the fourth floor we were with another family and we both had small children we asked to be moved to a lower floor and found them most unhelpful but gave in to our demands in the end the other family that were with us had just got married and this was there honeymoon in the brochure it stated that honeymoon couples would recieve fruit and wine on arrival but this wasnt the case we had to mention it to reception and when it did come it was cheap wine and chopped up black... more

after reading other reviews from previous years it is apparent this hotel/apartment has only got worse.two weeks with only one change of sheets, three towel changes in fourteen days.dirty bathrooms,dirty bedrooms,having to chase the maid to get her to empty the toilet bin! maids sometimes coming to your room at 7.30-8.00pm is just pathetic.all the beds in the hotel come with just a bottom fitted sheet and a BLANKET! in 30 degree heat no top sheets anywhere-difficult when you're sharing an apartment with your teenage son and daughter who want... more

Just returned may 2006, good holiday and good value for money. The spice appartments are kept very clean and they have good maid service. Maintanance could be better, as the shower either ran scolding hot or freezing cold and there was no adiquate shower holder so we took a pass on the shower. The appartment was a very good size, with fridge, one ring electric burner and kettle. The spice appartments have many features, ps2 games centre where the kids can go play, the pool is well maintained. they have a great bunch of guys in the pool... more

well what can be said about the spice apart from brilliant.the apartment we had was basic but clean & tidy right above the pool,cleaners great. the bar staff my best mates hussain spot on,tom my daughters favourite ,mosquito is just crazy or as he says a spaceman.all the reception staff and management are great mahmut the manager i can call a friend he will help with any problem. if you bump into eric have a shave he is better than cheeky charlie. just ignore any moaners they have not got a clue or don't know how to have fun .

Just arrived home 2nd Sept 2005 5 Adults 3 fifteen year old boys 2 girls 1 aged 12 1 aged 9 had a fantastic time the staff were fantastic would definatley go again. They cater for everyone must eat out at the touch of class say hello to eric star and donny from Carol dave and family pearl and family michelle and family. Murat at the savoy also lovely good food too cheeky charlie is fab too must have a pedicure hes hilarious.

Spice Apart was very noisy when it was time for bed the music was turned up after 1 in the morning. The Spice needs alot of work doing to bring it up to basic standards it may have been top class at one time but not anymore. We had an invasion of ants in our apartment and the cleaners never came untill after 4 in the afternoon. These apartments would benefit from double glazing and a facelift.

altinkum is a LOVELY PLACE TO GO WETHER YOU ARE A FAMILY OR JUST two love ones .i have been their 3 times and stayed at different places the tuntas hotel is very good but so is the tuntas aprt .this year we stayed at the spice it was good for the first few days ,we arrived early hours monday and had our first meal their which was ok nothing to shout about we did not eat there much after that but we did have people to see that we know, because we did not eat there much the staff in the resturant did not like it, when we would go to the bar... more
