I visited Las Piramides, Fuengirola in November 2010 and was extremely happy with every element of the hotel. The food was fantastic and had something for everyone, our room and the facilities were great and the people were really nice. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, situated right on the beach and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and loads more. The pool area was very nice, and the entertainment in the evening was great. Would definitely reccomend.
- Advice: Really nice, peaceful location with loads of things to do!

Stayed at hotel November the food was excellent the staff all friendly and helpfull but the downside was no tea making facility in room only one elec socket you could use and that was in bathroom no bin in bedroom. The Chef who brought out the breakfast was very dirty he looked like he had just come up from coal mine clothes were filthy think he must have worn same clothes all season also towel he carried was disgustingly dirty Not a good advert for hotel .The evening chef was very clean. This needs to be addressed as this is how tummy bugs can start with poor chef hygene .
- Advice: dirty chef which is a pity as food was excellent

my stay at piramides was delightful, the staff were very helpful and understandable.
one of the best thing about this hotel was it was close to the beach and it had lots to do e.g there was a big supermarket round the corner about 3 mins walking distance and shops everywhere which i think is a good thing, erm there were also resturants and english bars i would recommend ron's bar.
the food inside the hotel and outside was lovely (their was a chip shop round the corner that did the best food)
i thing they could improve on, is the dessert at dinner because it was always mousse but they did do some of the most amazing cakes.
the cleaners were in everyday and did everthing u wanted them to do but if u wanted u could just tell them not to do your room and they would'nt.
Also this hotel had a great pool could be busy at times but apart from that it was great their was an indoor pool which was lovely to cool off and it was quite warm in step into.
i think the hotel its self was pretty good, i wouldnt say it was modern but i do think it was nice and posh.
i would definatly come here again !!

Very nice area to visit. Hotel just on the edge of town and right next to the beach.
Half board food was excellent. A good selection of different dishes every evening, but be warned drinks were only included with breakfast!
We are a family of 4 adults, 20 to 40 + years of age. The Hotel...very nice...staff very friendly. We found most of the guests somwhat older than ourselves, so a great place to stay if you dont want screaming kids running around the pool (which by the way was very cold!) Indoor heated jaccusi/pool very relaxing.
Local marina, aprox 15 minute walk, where you can get a ferry up the coast to another beach/ town area...much younger guests in this part. As usual loads of pubs, clubs and restaurants along the sea front. Also a large shopping centre (mostly labelled designer stuff) again about a 15 min' walk. We stayed 28th Sept to 4th October and the weather was superb 24' to 32' every day!
Local zoo, 5 minutes away, is a must! We visited, by ferry,Benalmadena to the sea life centre which has dolphin/ sealion and exotic birds shows during the day..but was
eu 17.oo each!
All in all a great holiday spot.

I have returned today 12th June 09 from the above hotel, I booked this particular hotel as it is advertised in First Choice brouchure as ADULTS ONLY, this was not the case, there were quite a few children various ages. The hotel is rated 4 star, this is the worst 4 star hotel I have ever visited, there were no ironing facilities, there was no bin in the bedroom area, only small bathroom bin, no tea or coffee making facility, the bedroom mirrors and windows were not clean on arival and remained dirty the whole week, the bath was not cleaned properly daily, looked like it could do with complete clean out. The food was basic, not great choice, not hot enough, the butter sat in bowl without being chilled and was warm and soft at all times, breakfast was same everyday, not warm enough at times fried eggs lying on the floor, no one cleaned up. I would not return to this hotel, it needs to improve dramatically to warrant 4 star rating
Location was wonderful, the area is beautiful, the people in the bar/restaurants surrounding hotel lovely and friendly.

Arrived at hotel by rented car from airport at 13.00 hours and tried to check-in.Told to come back at 16.00 hours! We could leave our bags in reception area if we wanted. Not very secure, so put everthing back in car and headed off into town. Came back at 16.30 hours and was given electronic key to room. When opening door was greeted by two half naked persons in a rather embarrassing situation! Made my apologies and left to return to reception. There told to follow a gentleman who had another electronic key in his hand.I enquired who this man was and why did he have our room key ? No apology, no explanation, no kiss my a##e, nothing! Just told to follow this stranger with our key! I pointed out the lack of respect and security, and asked for an assurance that no future guests would be walking into our room. Again, nothing except a shrug of the shoulders and look of distain. I took the key from the stranger and found the new room myself.
Room not as bad as I`d feared. Quite clean with good regular maid service. Not as loud and unruly as I`d read about either, so all was well that ended well.
Las Americas is alot quieter than previous visits, so headed for Los Cristianos every night where things are much better if you like pubs/bars/retaurants etc.
The best beach is Torviscas in the Costa Adaje direction, or the one between Las Americas and Los Cristianos.
Overall a good holiday, except for having the hire car towed away on the morning of departure with 3 hours to flight time with all our bags in the boot including passports and return tickets, buts thats another story...

We were so looking forward to a relaxing holiday, we were impressed with the foyer but the reception staff were very unhelpful and abrupt. The room we were given was facing a busy and noisy street after we had asked for a sea view. We complained but was moved to higher floor on the same street, it was a building site from 8am to 5pm the noise was horrendous the room had no sound proofing. we had a taxi rank opposite and a night club. the bins were emptied every morning at 5am. We were not impressed with the bar the prices were so expensive and the staff rude. Not the sort of holiday we have come to expect from Thomas Cook even the rep was usless he was not interested. we will not be going back to this hotel

Location was good for the beach and shops and 25 minutes from the bus & train Station, the zoo and the waterpark were also within walking distance.
There isnt much nitelife just 6 bars, 5 of which were so smokey we couldnt go in so we always went to the London Bar which was quite good although drinks were 5 Euro plus there were no 2 for 1 offers here on any free shots. The walk took 20 - 30 minutes and was pretty dodgy late at nite as there were lots of strange characters hanging about. There needs to be a large club in the area catering for tourists.
There are 2 pools of which 1 is inside with a Jacuzzi this one was very nice as it was lovely and warm good for going into after the beach.
Meals - I was impressed by the food the potatoes were lovely lots of variety. I didnt see chicken once mind but if you like fish you're in luck as there were 3 varieties every nite.
We did feel a little out of place here as the majority of the customers were pensioners.
Entertainment - We saw a flamenco show (not bad but a bit repetitive) The 3 amigos just played music without singing, there was a couple that sang, the lady wouldnt have made it on X Factor! The magician was funny and different.
We didnt see a holiday rep once so was unable to book any excursions it was a god job we found out places to go through speaking to people.
All in all we enjoyed our stay it was a good base just wish it had of been a little nearer to the nitelife.

This is a lovely hotel, but is badly let down by the standard of the food - which is abysmal. There is very little choice, and the 'hot' food isn't. There is a nice bar area with helpful bar staff, but unfortunately they have a pianist playing, very badly, for hours. This put us off having more than a nightcap there. The location of the hotel is at one end of Fuengirola, and there isn't much in the way of entertainment here other than a few British bars showing, of course, all football matches. The saving grace, for women anyway, is that there is an indoor shopping centre about fifteen minutes walk away, which has Zara, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and other high street stores - along with the oft lamented C & A. As I was on holiday with my mother - and my husband was left at home - it was at least some consolation that we were able to shop as well as sunbathe.

stayed at this hotel from 13th May / 20th May and was totaly disapointed. Paid for half board but could not eat
anything in there so called dinning room. the food was disgusting. When we complained about the food we were told to eat salads.I know that some people wright this sort of thing just to complain but take my word for this.
we will not be back
