my friend and i booked this as a late deal (£320) and i think that was £200 to much it was the holiday from hell, the rooms was a mess, they have never seen a clean, the locks on the doors hadly work, you may have a cooker in your room but whats the point as you have to hire everything. the tv in the room you have to pay money into a box which last about 30min per euro, this is a disgrace as if you pay all inclusive that should be included. the enterainment round the pool and the evening was butlins style a total joke if you ask me. now as for the food what a horrible pile of slop, it was the same menu everyday which was cold and under cooked in my opinion and everyone else who was there at the same time as me it wasnt fit to eat. there was cockroachs running around dirty utencils and cups. while you are eating they will water the plants with recycled water and the stench is so overpowering CANCEL YOUR BOOKING IF YOUY HAVE BOOKED THE FAULTY TOWERS HOTEL NEVER EVER WOULD I GO TO THIS DUMP AGAIN. THE ISLAND IS LOVELY BUT OCEAN CLUB FORGET IT

Me and my partner got this holiday as a late deal...we didnt pay alot and i am glad!! To be honest it was worth the money, the rooms were okey..luckly we got one of the rooms that had been done up..some people we spoke to there said that the rooms that they has were horrible!! We had a fantastic time in Tenerife as we hired a motorbike and went alover the island and that was great...and it was so hot when we was there, which always makes things better. We didnt eat in the hotel we always went out for food as to be honest the food didnt look great but most of the children there seemed to enjoy it..we had icecream which was good and the drinks where great, the entertainment was okey more for families tho..i would say that this hotel is great for a family not for couples at all!!!! like i said the holiday its self we great as Tenerife is a really lovely place and i would go back - to Tenerife - Not to Ocean Club - Sorry!

We booked this holiday a week before we arrived and we were very aprehensive to coming because of the reviews we had seen. however at first we believed it wasnt as bad as it people made out. The interior seemed basic but clean, however was dated and needed modernisation. The food was lovely to eat but indeed a little repetitive. The Pool was very deep however cooled you down and was refreshing. There wasnt alot to do for teenagers and many became bored and caused some trouble. Hayley, Liam and Milo, the entertinment crew were very kind and helpful and tried their best to make the holiday fun. We were surprised how everyone was really friendly, hotel staff and other holiday makers and it was easy to make friends while joining in the activities. the shows at night were very interesting. However the parrot and Puma show we did not like because it involved the animals doing tricks and was very cruel. The overall hotel area was a little cramped and could of been made better easily by better planning. the resort was very boring and had absolutely nothing to do there. and first choice had said it was a 3star hotel however it was like a 2star. and first choice also said it was close to the beach. however the beach that we saw was not a beach. it was dangerous and dirty. At the end of the holiday we were ready to go and would not come back to the hotel.

My partner and myself booked this holiday before reading the reviews!! We got the holiday as a late deal and got it half price and that was far too much, we arrived and checked into a room which was very poor, the only clean thing in the room was the sheets thank god! The floor was filthy and havent been cleaned in ages the funiture was broken and the plumbing well everytime you have a shower the bath filled up with someone elses dirty water and all night all you could hear was the toliet bubbling away!! The food was cold and there was very little choice. We stayed round the pool for about an hour before we got sick of the Butlins entertainment which prevented you having a relaxing day around the pool! So we thought we'd take the courtsey bus to Playa but of course the bus only runs 3 days a week and as for the bike hire, what bikes! We ended up spending an absolute fortune on trying to keep away from the place! The hotel is great for families who want a cheap holiday but for couples or anyone who wants a good standard of acc etc please cancel or you will be disappointed.

my husband and i went to the ocean club in june of this year for a week, it as been the longest week ever wishing everyday that it was time to come home. set in the middle of know where, we arrived on the tuesday night in time for something to eat and to get to know what the place was like. firstly we were given our accomidation on seeing this we were both appauled at this all you could smell was raw sewrage, bare wires showing from the walls coffee tables that had still previous marks from the last guests, had not been polished or dusted. thank god they had at least remembered to put clean sheets on the bed and give us clean towels. when we went to the dining room for our meal we were greated with the choice of soup which i could not spell now or pronounce. what ever they were they did not look appertising at all there was what i suppose they would call a salad bar but that was dried up lettuce and meat that looked as if at been there all day ah well lets look at the main courses my husband said there is bound to be something that we could have of there there was slices of pork with the blood still in it some kind steak or a pasta we decided against any of this the puddings was very bland and not very appertising at all. we ended up having a pack of crisps. the next day was meeting the reps the rep babs came to see us and on hearing my complaints at the location of the hotel and of the food she quickly moved off withought any answers. i could go on and on about this hotel and i am affraid that it would be all faults i can honestly not find any thing good about it, if anybody out there is going to the ocean club for a holiday please please think again in some of the reveiws that i have been reading people are sayng about the entertainment the entertainment at night was a joke. people who took the children were still having to pay for things even though they had payed for an all-inclusive holiday e.g if children wanted to join the childrens club if they wanted to go and watch a movie etc etc. please be warned this is a holiday from hell.

DO NOT stay at this hotel it really is the pits. Did a last minute bargain and paid for it. The room was filthy - every time next door used their loo or shower it came up in our kitchen sink. The floor wasnt swept once and i know that for sure. there was rubbish under the bed when we arrived and it was still there when we left. Asked for a Pina Colada and told that would be 3 euros - thought it was supposed to be all inclusive. No towels for the pool issued so had to go and buy our own. Roof sun terrace for adults, good- but no bar and no toilets. No haidryer in the room and a TV that you had to put euros in. 92 degrees each day and no air conditioning. Entertainment was on a par with Butlins. Pool was freeezing and no shallow end - not everyone can swim like a fish. Same puddings for lunch and evening meal the whole time we were there and same soups too. If they couldnt decide what the food was it was called Canarian fish or Club Ocean rice yum yum NOT. At least 20 people moved during our stay and all had to pay. This is a money making ploy by First Choice book a cheapo cheerful that is so bad that they know people will want out of there and charge extortionate prices to be moved so the company recoup profit. This hotel is apparently being taken over by the Germans in October and being revamped - hope they do a better job than us Brits. Good luck to anyone who stays there.

we went to tenerife as a family (all 6 of us) in june 05, the flight was 4hrs 30mins long, but we didnt mind that we were thinking of the sun and sand waiting for us in tenerife, during the transfer from airport to hotel at the other end we dropped other people off at their hotels which were absolutely beautiful, all spanish colonial style, and we were getting more and more excited at the prospect of seeing ours, we had such a shock, we were staying at the ocean club in the south of tenerife, which reminded me of a concentration camp at times, the whole look of the place screamed 1970's shoddy workman ship the whole place needed a overhall esp when there was a rci hotel across the road, which was a 3 * accommodation but screamed 5* glamour, we were very let down, the patio doors were broken, the food was terrible, we went all inclusive but spent at least double the amount we apent all inc on eating out as we just couldnt face any of the food, one day we decided to hire a catamaran and go for a once in a lifetime vip sail on a beautiful new million £ catamoran, we really wished we hadnt we went out with a company called freebird one, they took us out into the ocean knowing full well that there was 30ft waves almost turning the ship over, we had at least 6 near misses with the waves, people were practically saying goodbye to each other we actually turner over at one point we could reach out and touch the water it was terrifing , there was babies on board and everything, the crew said they had never known it so bad in the 2 years they had been running, people screaming and crying, we were terrified and will never be doing it again, I am not trying to put people off the vip tours but i think your should be aware of what happened to us, the one good thing about our holiday well 2, was the weather it was 110 degrees almost every day and the flight home, we enjoyed the weather and eating out but other than that, not for us thank you!

we have just come back from our holiday at this hotel.We had a fantastic time.The entertainment was out of this world and we were well entertained.That was all thanks to hayley and beatrice.The rooms in the hotel were ok.The cleaning in the rooms was a bit slack but what the hell.The food and service was exellent.Would definately go back to the ocean club again.Very friendly atmosphere all around.The only complaint we have has nothing to do with the hotel.It was one of the trips set up by the reps to a place called decades in playa las de americas,this was an absoulute nightmare and is not recommended.Thanks Ocean club for such a memorable time and yes we will be coming back in the future.Keep up the good work.

After readings some reviews, our party of six people were very apprehensive indeed, about our forthcoming holiday. When we arrived the receptionist was friendly and checked us all in without any delays. The rooms were quite basic, but adequate for our needs. Towels changed 3 times weekly. The food was ok. A bit repetitive, if you enjoy salads you cant go wrong. Poolside entertainment, was excellent. Numerous activities, throughout the day including quizzes, bingo, pool, darts, keep fit etc. The pool itself is far too cold and very deep. Evening entertainment was great too. Different artists performing nightly. Numerous pillars in the club restrict your view though. I recommend you get in the bar early, to get a good seat. The reps were fantantic, friendly and approachable. All in all a great family holiday, enjoyed by all. Well worth the money. If you enjoy a 'Butlin's type' holiday, you will certainly appreciate Ocean Club. Cant wait to return in Sept 2005.

On the 18th January my husband and I came to this hotel for our honeymoon and his birthday combined. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and polite. The only thing that slightly let the hotel down was the food - it lacked imagination and after two weeks of cheesy pasta or salad we deffected to the chinese down the road (highly recommend - Orient City). The true stars of the holiday though were Eddie and Bea of the entertainment team - fantastic - Bingo will never be the same - Bobble bobble!!!!!
I went with my boyfriend in June 2009. The Hotel- Very nice and clean. Very basic rooms. The pool was freezing which was a bit refreshing, it was extremely hot and we got a very nice tan there. The hotel is actually in the middle of no where, no beach nearby at all, hardly... more
