karbel is good value for money and i would definally recomend this hotel to both couples and families. It is very clean and has two pools plus childrens play area.It is in a great location right by main strip and about five minutes walk to the beach and resturants and shops

This Hotel is brilliant never been before to this country
would strongly recommend my husband and i returned yesterday.rooms very clean, food very good continental breakfast, close to everything in smashing surrounding.
staff cant do enought to help if required. Beaches were lovely the lagoon is a must. On return from a long day excursion the maids had scattered flowers on our bed what a lovely touch, what else can i say

Just returned from Karbel Hotel Olu Deniz cannot fault the Hotel first night we had a problem with being put in the nderground room as we requested upper floor room that was changed for us the very next day. The staff were very friendly food and everything about the hotel cannot fault. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels everyday. Will definetly book for next year

Just got back from 2 weeks holiday in the Karbel Hotel.
Had a great holiday, the hotel staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We had a bit of a problem at the beginning of the holiday trying to get 2 extra pillows, we asked at reception several times to no avail. However, when we spoke to the maids directly we got them within 10 mins. Our accommadation was a wood cabin and were really impressed. it was clean and nicely furnished (could be improved by extra storage, but we managed perfectly well).
If anyone stays at the Karbel we would definatly recommend that they attend the hotels weekly bbq as its a good night with great entertainment.
The hotel is located close to the strip where you have a great choice of bars and restaurants all reasonably priced.
For those wanting to book trips we would suggest booking through the Europeon Diving School (Eftelya Travel) at the bottom of the strip where Farthie (The Rice Man) he can write up to 19 words on a single grain of rice freehand, and Harry Potter they discussed what they offer and go through your different options in detailwith regards to price etc. We booked a a Jeep Safari (laughed none stop) and a paragliding session with them. Harry Potter met us at their office and took us round to the people that would take us up and stayed with us untill we were due to set off.
We are definately planning to go back!

I have just come back from turkey with my partner and 3 kids (all under 16) we had the most amazing holiday! we went on a few excursions eg- boat trip (had a lovely time,however food wasnt too good) jeep safari (DEFINENTLY GO ON THAT) and a scoober diving trip which was amazing!. The hotel its self was FANTASTIC the staff were amazing and the most friendly people you will ever come across,they adored the children,we went on a turkish theme night at the hotel which was very good lots of dancing,the food was lovely!entertainment every night which was VERY good! we stayed just at the top of the main shopping strip in olu deniz,the resturants were very good,couldnt fault the food at all, resturants we enjoyed: small house,help bar,ata lagoon. The prices at the hotel snack bar were resonable prices. All in all we had a 'FAB' holiday couldnt fault it one bit,turkish people very nice.. going back next year hopefully :)

I travelled to the hotel karbel with my girlfriend for two weeks bed and breakfast. It was my first time in Turkey.
where do i begin ?, it was excellent.
The hotel is one of the best olu deniz has to offer, it is at the top of the town but is not right in the middle of the shops and restaurants. ( although there only two minutes away). There is a supermarket just a few yards down the road.
Olu Deniz has a great beach with beautiful clean sea and white sand, but a bit of pebble which gets very very hot if you don't wear sandles.
The rooms in the hotel Karbel were immaculate. Cleaned daily with free air con. We had ground floor pool view with a balcony. The pool is spotless with plenty of sun loungers, and the bar is clean. Beer costing around £2.00 a pint and is better than most bars in the town.
There is entertainment everynight in the hotel if you want to stop in, but the nightlife in the town is just as good.
The restaurante in the hotel is fabulous for an evening meal, with a large varied menu. The breakfast is basic but warm and efficient, and staff are very friendly.
As the hotel is only full board maximum, and we were bed and breakfast we ate out every night and managed to try a different restaurante each evening, and never had a bad meal, but i do recommend the buzz bar on the beach front as it is fabulous for an evening meal. ( but book seats in the day as it is very popular).
I am a spain pearson myself, but gunna try icmeler this year, I hope its as good as Olu Deniz was.

As previous reviews have said, this hotel has clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff but a fair proportion of the rooms are like cellars with only a small window at the top. My booking said I had a balcony, which I did, but another member of my party booked later and was not given the option of a balcony - they ended up in a 'dungeon' which they said was horrible. There's a good choice of food for breakfast (meat, eggs, cheese, bread, cereal, yogurt etc) - evening meals were not great but okay (fantastic salads) - it cost very little extra for half-board when I booked and I'm glad I went for it because eating out in Olu Deniz is not cheap.

this was our 8th visit to the karbel.we absolutely love it.the rooms are luvly,clean,comfy beds.food to die for.we always go half board as the food is so good.we have booked again for october when we are bringing our 3 grown up sons with us.my husband and i wouldnt go anywhere else.olu deniz is beautiful,magical place.tequila,s bar is so gr8.we went in may 2010.realyy miss the place.ROLL ON OCT.

well where do i start paying for a room with a balcony and being put in a bacement room that is damp and stinks the bed had to be changed because it was damp from the room the plug shocket in the bathroom was hanging out the wall along side all the wires the shower head was more like a sprinkler, the hair dryer was broke and would cut out every 10 seconds so you couldnt dry your hair.there was a window about 7 foot up and in the morning the gardener would pour water over the windows so if you could reach to open the window to get a bit of air you would have been soaked laying in bed, there also was a window when you walked down there stairs that had no glass so when it rained it would come through and soak the stairs what where marbel stone stuff so u would slip going down the stairs.oh and the food pretty much all you get for breakfast is bread !!!

Just come back from the Hotel Karbel. The hotel is amazing. It is very clean. Rooms get cleaned daily. The rooms are quite big, they have airconditioning and a small fridge. Staff are very polite and helpful. We went on a bed and breakfast basis but we bought dinner 'tickets' 4 meals for the price of 3 which worked out about £4.60 per meal for the four of us which was brilliant as it was a four course meal with lots of variety. The food was delicious and even my son (who is a fussy eater)found something to eat. The hotel has two swimming pools which the kids enjoyed. The hotel hold a BBQ night with a belly dancer - this is a night not to be missed. Very funny and enjoyable. I got pulled up to 'belly dance'. I very much enjoyed my stay here and am booking to go back in October. Whilst in Olu Deniz please visit the Anfora Restaurant. The food is lovely and prices are reasonable and also the staff are lovely. My partner and I are also now thinking of getting married in Olu Deniz as it is a beautiful place. I found Olu Deniz very reasonable and you get alot for your money.
