Had the best holiday for ages at this...
10 / 10
Jun 2006, Mr S. Dorking

Had the best holiday for ages at this hotel, fantastic. Rooms really large, clean, fridge, TV, all rooms with balcony views. (We were all inclusive) Reception staff very helpful, restaurant staff very friendly and polite, food brilliant with lots of choices for adults and special children’s menus. Eat outside at lunchtimes, same again a lot of choice. Plenty of free ice cream, drinks, water all day long from 11 am.
Kiddies reps seemed really great with all children plenty going on. First Choice Entertainers, what can we say fantastic bunch. Stu took football on the all-weather pitch during day and we had some great times and good laughs with him, then he did water polo, darts, quizzes etc, he could not have done enough for guests and the kiddies no matter what he was doing or how busy he was he always had time for a few words with you and a laugh, great guy.
Charley p and Kate joined him sometimes during the day and every evening for kiddies disco (suitable for all ages, from babies to grannies) and then did a show themselves some evenings which were also very good (Charlie lovely girl, very sweet and very good looking, Kate a bit over the top at times and sqeally needs to calm down a it, but still sweet) Stu, lots of girlies oggling him, ha ha, even little ones pinching his bum.
Other acts and shows from the island did live shows every night and they were also excellent, everything finished at 12 so as not to disturb other guests which is fair enough. About 10 mins walk from beach which was a little bit hilly but worth it, you could walk along prom into Las Americas approx 30 mins.
Water Park not far away, another great day out don’t miss the dolphin show, excellent. We didn’t leave hotel much at night as we enjoyed being there as it was so friendly orientated and we made some good friends. Definitely will be going back, didn’t hesitate book today.

Jun 2006, Mr Pm Joslin

We have just had one of our best holidays we booked this holiday with first choice 4 adults 7days all inclusive £1200 the hotel was fantastic.
Cleaned 6 out of 7 days the rooms were great, decorated to a very high standard the food was excellent a great range of food for adults and children. Only heard one person complain because they never cooked kebabs or Chinese food?
We’ve never been back to the same hotel before but were going back in November
Lets hope they have more sun shades by then, our only complaint.

May 2006, Miss P Hewitt

We have just come back from a 2 week stay and we have had the best time ever!!
We could not have asked for more off the entertainers they were fantastic so a big thank you to Charlie P, Katie, Stuart and Matty although the complex was for families and we were a young couple they still made sure they catered for everyone. The only downside was that everything stopped at 12.00am we felt they could have left the disco on till 1.00 but apart from that it was great.
As we were all inclusive the food choice ranged everyday so you never were stuck for choice!
The suite rooms were lovely and with very nice bathroom, bedroom and livingroom area.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone taking a holiday to Tenerife especially families.

Have just returned from 1 week at the...

Apr 2006, Miss C Todd

Have just returned from 1 week at the Ocean Palace Resort and if you have kids this place is perfect. We have a 2 year old and a 10 month old and they were more than happy here which if the kids are kept happy you are more than half way there. We booked the rooms through ratestogo.com and upgraded to All Inclusive when we got there.
The hotel is a bit out of the way but we just stayed around the pool and hotel so this didn't really matter to us. The food is not brilliant in the evening although we thought the breakfast was lovely. Thought the entertainment was very good although I would have preferred for the mini disco to be longer than half an hour. Can't comment personally on the kids club as my daughter wouldn't go in however I did hear really good reports from other people and the kids club staff came out for the mini disco and were very good then.
The rooms were very large and well equipped with kettle, toaster. Microwave etc. They were also very clean. Saw 1 baby cockroach in the bath and that was the only one all week although my partner says he saw a huge one in the room when he turned the light on in the middle of the night, not sure if he was winding me up or not though.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The pool is very cold on getting in but you soon get used to it and you need to be out early to get a sun bed there is also a big shortage of parasols around the pool area and it is very, very slippery so pool shoes are a good idea.
All in all a great hotel if you have kids. Personally I wouldn't go there if it was just me and my partner as I would want to be nearer the nightlife however I think we will be returning for our next family holiday.

Have just returned from an excellent...

Apr 2006, Mrs S J Barnes

Have just returned from an excellent holiday at the Ocean Palace. The suite was great, with plenty of room (even had his and hers sinks in the bathroom!). The food on the all inclusive package was excellent - plenty of it, and always a good choice, although as previously mentioned, chips were on the menu at every meal, even breakfast!
The kids reps, Stacey, Stacey, Becki and Tash did a brilliant job - my 6 year old son insisted on going to all the sessions, and didn't want to come home and leave them. Also, Charlie P, Sam and Kieran were great entertainers, even though the "push that funky button" chant was a little annoying towards the end of the week.
One word of warning - the tiles around the swimming pool made for an extremely slippery surface when even slightly damp, and there were many incidents of people falling over, not just kids either.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and hope to go back as soon as possible.

My wife and I have just returned from...
10 / 10
Feb 2006, Mr D Macdonald

My wife and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Ocean Palace resort, fully inclusive. We never heard anyone complain about the facilities or even the food.
The food was excellent, one could eat and drink all day, not forgetting the snacks - cheese burgers and hot dogs. The staff at the restaurant were always very polite, and greeted each hotel guest with their very own personal smile.
The entertainment staff, Kieran, Sam and Charlie did their very utmost to make everyone have an enjoyable time, and gave all their enthusiasm, and I mean all enthusiasm.
Also I would like to give full praise to Vivian who entertained us on the free half day blanket trip. From the minute the bus left the hotel, she kept all the passengers entertained and gave us a wonderful talk about Tenerife and tips about the Island. The talk about beds and sheep skin blankets were very informative. The bus drove through small villages and various plantations and stopped at wonderful gift shop.
The welcome morning was very good, it was a good marketing technique, they gave snap-shots of the shows that were available, by actually demonstrating the shows for a few minutes by singing and dancing. In the past, my impression of welcome mornings have been boring and time wasting that were ill prepared.
The kids reps worked very late into the evening making sure that all the children had a very enjoyable time, dancing to the music, as they were involved in the interaction, "DJ Charlie press the funky button" . During the evenings we watched a parrot show, a snake show and many fabulous entertainers that excited all the guests, and fully inclusive folk, drank free beer and spirits from the bar all night long.
It makes a change not to see sun beds reserved by towels in the morning.
We would like to recommend this hotel to anyone for a good clean hotel, which gave value for money. We hope to stay at this hotel next year.
Once again, thank you all at the hotel for a wonderful holiday.

Have just come back from a week at...
10 / 10
Feb 2006, Mr S Sissons

Have just come back from a week at Ocean Palace (Also known as Ocean Resort) and had an amazing time there. The hotel itself is great…has everything you need so don’t really need to venture out at all. I believe it was refurbished at the end of 2005 which has brought it all up-to-date with a modern feel.
The hotel is located a couple of km’s out of the main part of Playa De Las Americas. It will cost about 7 euros by taxi to get into the centre of town. The beach is a mere 10 minute walk away.
Our room was really nice with a great view and large balcony. It was very clean and suited our needs very well.
We went all inclusive which I thought was excellent value for money. The restaurant provided a good range of hot and cold food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you just wanted a quick snack the pool bar was open all day. Drinks were available for free on the all inclusive deal until midnight.
The pool was lovely, though rather cold! But then again it was January!
We only really discovered the Sauna and Jacuzzi right towards the end of the week and wish we had earlier. You get 1 session in each per day with the all inclusive. A visit is a must at some point!
The evening entertainment was great. We really enjoyed the cash bingo! There was something for everyone to get into! Even the kids have “Mini Disco” at 8:30 every night. The reps there are fantastic. They try and get everyone involved and also do a bit of singing themselves a couple of nights a week. If you have children then you can feel safe that they will be well looked after and have a great time. We enjoyed the variety of entertainment on in the evening so stayed there every night. If you prefer something quieter, there is always the Irish Sports Bar. This will have quiet music or a bit of football on the screens there of an evening.
Before I finish, there are just a few things I think needed to be pointed out...
Pay the extra (no, I don’t work for First Choice!).. We did and got a lovely suite. If you go with the standard room there is a good chance you will be in the block next door which we heard wasn’t half as nice. The extra couple of pounds is well worth it. Also you are much better off all inclusive (you will probably end up saving!).
The main entertainment shows in the evenings do start around 11pm. If there are 2 shows then the second will usually begin a 12am. Entertainment will finish at 1:30am every night usually with a disco. Our room was right above the "Disco Bar" and so did hear the discos right until the end even if we were in our room!
For those who love chips...great! It will be in the restaurant buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner! But fear not there are plenty of other things to choose from! I only had chips once in the week and for me it wasn’t a problem.
PAL - THE BLANKET TRIP. You may hear in your welcome meeting of a free half day trip round Tenerife. It's true…the trip is free. The only thing they don't tell you in the meeting is that you will have to sit through an hour-long talk on their Orthopaedic beds and bedding! We didn't find this out until we got on a coach that morning! Just to make you aware!
So overall…just a couple of niggles, but this is nothing that would ever stop me coming back to this place...its great! It’s ideal for families and couples alike. I would definitely return!!
Thanks to all the helpful staff and the First Choice Reps Kieran, Sam and Charlie P for making our holiday!!

Holiday started well here for first...

Nov 2005, Ms P Swanson

Holiday started well here for first day. Whilst the room and balcony were clean and of a perfectly adequate size and the staff seemed friendly enough for the little conversation skills they had, it was unfortunate that myself and companions had a theft from our room during the 2nd evening since arrival whilst out for tea, all cash from 2 members of our party had gone.
While that was bad enough we then got robbed again 2 nights later when we were out, unbelievably this time a SUITCASE and some clothing was taken. The room was secured by us on both occasions and the 2nd time we even had the key, yet the room had no forced entry. Security guard obviously playing his role well! Further to this we heard so many COMPLAINTS about other thefts and guests returning to find people in their rooms! This accommodation ruined my party's holiday and many others during this time, while Costa Adeje was lovely I would highly recommend staying in different accommodation rather than running the risk of the worst time of your life staying here!!!

I booked my holiday with...
8 / 10
Nov 2005, Jax

I booked my holiday with reserveahotelonline which is a fantastic website enabling me to book the hotel, transfer and car hire all in one go!
When we got to the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, we were so pleased to find it was everything it had been described as on the travel agent website.
The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and we were so impressed by the kindness and warmth of the staff there. The entertainment was of good standard and we found it very easy to make friends with other holiday makers there. The location of the hotel was also very pleasing - on the edge of Fanabe, we were just a few minutes walk away from the beach front, which had plenty of shops and restaurants for us to look in and enjoy.
The resort itself also offered many day trips out which made the holiday even more memorable.
Definitely a great hotel. I would recommend the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel and the website reserveahotelonline to everyone.

We’ve just returned from the Nogal...
2 / 10
Oct 2005, Mrs Jo Griffiths

We’ve just returned from the Nogal Beach Club and were thoroughly dissatisfied.
The website infers that you also have use of the facilities at the sister hotel.(The Ocean Palace) That would’ve been an improvement, but it was closed and had building work going all the time.
The entertainment was 3rd rate (a guitarist every evening )and the food in the restaurant, although not bad, was repetitive.
We were also given the impression that there were restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Not so! To have a break -you had to either catch a bus or walk for about 20 mins and the taxis coming back were certainly not cheap. (check the meter,-- it should be on Tariff 3 but they set it to Tariff 1.). We ended up threatening to call the police when we queried it).
On a better note, we had a great time at Raffles Cabaret (by the bungee jump) and also in Loro Park. But we booked these ourselves, saving about 20 euros. The rep. Laura was at best indecisive and there was a mass protest on the day we were leaving. All in all, a very disappointing week (thank God it WAS only one week). Needless to say we won’t be going there again!!!

on arrival ( Fri, late eve ) overall...

Aug 2005, Mr P E Mathews

on arrival ( Fri, late eve ) overall impression nice. sat + sun passed really nice. Monday at 08:30.......... BUILDER + Lots of noise !!!!!!! having been to Nogal beach in 2004, we returned ( along with 2 children ) confident of a great FAMILY holiday. Ocean Palace next door, provided good swimming pool and stuff for the kids if you wanted to laze around for the day. How-ever, evening entertainment was pretty NAFF. The beach and surrounding shops etc is approx 10 min walk ( downhill !!! but not to bad ) provided LOADS of cheap eating places and plenty of camera shops etc ( be careful ).
Highly recommend PUERTO COLON, (adjoining area ) comes alive on a night with PLENTY of GOOD eating places ( check out the COLON bar). Now back to the Nogal Beach...... Loads of people COMPLAINING !!! Major construction work taking place all through out our holiday ( due to ALL rooms being changed from 1 bed to 2 bed ) Laura ( rep ) very good, handed out complimentary tickets for all major attractions.
Hi ab lorries bringing in pallets of breeze blocks, cement mixers, drilling, banging.... TERRIBLE, only thing was BOB the BUILDER !!!!! it was that bad. Had we been informed PRIOR to our holiday, we would not have gone. Major complaints taking place NOW, BUT AIRTOURS are being very very SLOW and poor. all in all, Nogal beach NOT RECOMMENED.
