Just come home from a week in these apartments which appear to have been newly decorated as they were beautifully clean and bright and generally very comfortable. Each apartment has its own small balcony, and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were very good.
The apartments have their own communal pool, but a quick walk through the hotel takes you to the main pool of the adjoining hotel Ocean Palace which is really large and reasonably shallow making it appropriate for families with children.
The entertainment provided for children was excellent with activities organised throughout the day and evening. All staff were very helpful and friendly resulting in an extremely enjoyable and relaxing holiday, I would definitely recommend this resort to families and groups wanting a flexible holiday in a good location.

Just back from holiday at ocean palace Tenerife, the best holiday we have had for a long time, food good ,hotel rooms FANTASTIC we booked the superior room for a small extra charge, if you get the chance to book this do so, as you have a lot more room in the apartments,
The reps (ie. nathan & stew were FAB where Nathan got energy from I don’t know ) worked really hard even kids reps , all staff nice and rooms kept really clean always giving clean sheets, only one fault was the slippy tiles around swimming pool (please watch ie elderly people especially ) Over all FANTASTIC HOLIDAY no complaints what so ever

We have just returned from a glorious week at the Ocean Resort (or Ocean Palace as it was formally known).
We went 'all inclusive' with our 2 children 4 1/2 and 3 years. The rooms were clean with a sliding divide between the double bed room and the lounge/children’s room. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pools.
Apparently it is only the 2nd floor which hasn’t been refurbished but the suite was still clean.
The food was OK, however not much choice although the Italian restaurant and the carvery were wonderful. The buffet lunches outdoors were really tasty with different dishes every day.
Breakfasts are the same but good 'English' breakfast with croissants, pain de chocolate, fruit and cheese available too. All the waiting staff were polite and friendly with the children.
Please be aware: the pool area is VERY slippy. I had looked on this site before the hol and read several reports from guests saying how bad it was, so I took non slip beach/swim shoes for the children which worked a treat. Do not leave home without them!
The pool is perfect for small children as it starts off very shallow and the bottom changes colour when it gets deeper - it is also heated which makes a great difference! There is also another unheated pool which was great for cooling off.
The entertainment was absolutely fantastic and all staff work exceptionally hard all day and night. The children attended a couple of the kid’s club parties and had a great time.
The kids entertainers were great fun and even came to find us in the checking-in queue at the airport to say goodbye to my children!
There is entertainment for the children until 9.15pm and the music goes on till midnight (we were 2 floors above the disco and could hear the music quite well but it didn’t disturb the children sleeping!)
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to parents with young children. It is clean, the pool is heated, there is entertainment all day long for the children (so you can get an hour to yourself if you want!), the night entertainment is varied and the food is ok.

Basically when we arrived we were given a room in an area called the annexe!
Turned out to be Nagal beach next door, all self catering rooms, basic to say the least.
We complained at desk and asked to see the manager, he eventually came down and we were told there were no other rooms available.
If I had been informed beforehand, I would have cancelled. Nothing else was done and he left. Very poor customer service!
Food poor. Gym Mon to Fri 13:00 to 21:00?
Pool and area good though.
Adeje a great area, hotel position good.
Not a 4 Star hotel especially when put in 2 star accommodation!

We have just returned from the Ocean Palace Hotel and it was excellent.
I travelled with my husband and 2 children aged 2 & 5.
The hotel was really nice and so was our room with a nice big balcony. The room was cleaned every day.
The food was nice and there was always plenty of choice at every meal and the children had a separate little buffet, so they could help themselves.
All the staff were friendly and the entertainment reps were very good.
Costa Adeje was a lovely resort and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just got back from a week in Tenerife. The holiday was personally the best holiday I have ever been on, and it is hard to pick out any negative of my experience.
I went with my girlfriend and we stayed in room 329. The rooms, despite our tendency to leave clothes everywhere were always kept extremely tidy and clean, new towels provided every day.
Great views from balcony of the resort and out across the Atlantic Ocean.
The hotel looked clean and well maintained on arrival and the main areas were all air conditioned which went down very well in my books.
The pool and pool bar were regularly used, and staff were friendly and efficient, and the outside areas were all kept very clean.
Breakfasts were my favourite meals, big variety and selection everyday and all cooked to a lovely standard. Lunch could have been more of a greater selection, but usually I was still full up from the morning.
The three restaurants all provided good dinners, in particular the Italian restaurant and Mexican themed night in the main restaurant.
Our favourite member of staff was Jayden who worked in the Irish bar. Every night he was chatty and very funny and provided us with so much entertainment, that we went back every night just to see him.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time in Tenerife and this hotel contributed to that. Was gutted to leave but will always have the best memories from this holiday.
Strongly recommend to all ages!!

Well, what can I say; on arrival at the hotel we thought it looked good. As we were checking in at the reception people were complaining about different matters.
I didn’t take much notice, as some people would complain about anything.
Our room was on the 4th floor, room 435. The room was a suite, lovely and big, everything looked clean. Then to our horror when using the bathroom we had no hot water, and the cold only trickled out of the tap.
We didn’t complain thinking it’s just a hiccup. Before dinner we decided to freshen up and have a shower, the water just trickled out of the shower head. The next morning the same thing happened.
Saturday morning we complained to the receptionist who said it happens at peak times and there was nothing they could do about it. This happened every day, no hot water morning and evening and the cold only trickled from the tap.
By the middle of the week we had had enough and complained to the rep. We had to write out a complaint form which he copied, he also sent a copy to head office.
The buffet style food was awful, not much choice, breakfast was cold. Dinner was awful, not much variety and most of the time no green veg. We ate one night at the Bistro which was good and hot.
The running buffet outside during the daytime, was ok, at least it was hot. Plenty of drinks. The milky coffee was lovely. Chips tasted of burnt fat and so did the burgers. Hot dogs were nice. The mixed salads were lovely.
One day we went into the room, switched on the light and the light bulb actually exploded above my head, covering me and the floor with glass, this was reported to the cleaner who attempted to clean it up in a fashion, we had glass on the floor for 2 days, before asking for the floor to be swept again.
The bathroom wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there, the towels were changed on a regular basis and so were the beds. The beds were very comfortable.
We had two balconies, on one balcony was a table and chairs which were filthy.
We did complain about the general cleanliness of the room and it was sorted. Needless to say no tip was left for the maid.
The waiters and waitresses in the restaurant were very polite and worked very hard.
Within the hotel there is an Irish Pub, which is very dark inside, playing loud music, everyone has to shout to make them selves heard. Not very pleasant at all.
The swimming pools are large and look clean. Although the tiles around the pool when wet are dangerous.
Its a long walk down to the beach, if you have a problem walking don’t stay in this hotel, the walk back is up hill all the way. There is a supermarket next door, which sells mostly everything.
Five minutes walk down the road is a small shopping complex. Thursday and Saturday on the car park opposite the shopping complex is an open market.
I had a bad stomach every day of this holiday; my husband had a bad stomach the last two days. Was it the food or the lack of hygiene? We shall never know. Because my stomach was so bad we couldn’t risk going to the airport by coach, we had to order a taxi.
This hotel is never a 4* more like a 2*. We shall never return to this hotel.
A formal complaint was made to the first choice rep. the complaint form and a covering letter will also be sent to first choice head office.

Just got back from a weeks holiday staying in this hotel and I’ve got to say it was brilliant so where to start...
Hotel up a hill, so not too good for those with walking difficulties but if they are content to lay by the pool all day and get a taxi into the town at night, then its fine.
Hotel itself was gorgeous, rooms were spotless and the added bonus of having a kitchen and living room separate from the bedroom.
Rooms kept spotless by the maids, towels changed on a daily basis.
We were A/I and though the food in the restaurant was lovely, it was good to be able to make something to eat now and then.
Snacks through day were ok as well, hotdogs were gorgeous but the hamburgers a bit suss. Not a great choice of drinks mind you but you could pay extra for well known brands, not supplemented which they should have been.
Now for the entertainment...where to start...big hand to the reps for keeping everybody amused specially Nathan and Stuart, well done boys, they kept me and my sister laughing from the beginning to the end of the night, so much so that we going back next yr with the grandkids.
Children were kept busy all day and night, plenty of activities for kids and adults alike, killer pool, darts, water polo ect.
All in all a great holiday, staff and reps couldn’t do enough for you. For a great family holiday this has got to be one of the best places I’ve came across.

Had a week stay at the Ocean Palace Hotel with a friend, it was fab!
We had a huge room with a kitchen and huge corner sofa. The bathroom looked great too! We had a really great view of the pool.
The holiday reps were friendly and helpful. The entertainers were unbelievably lively and enthusiastic all day long! The food was good but they didn’t have too much for vegetarians! The drinks were great, bar staff were a good laugh, especially Jake!
The bars and clubs were definitely a taxi ride away but were well worth it with stupidly cheap drinks!
I would recommend this place to everyone and would definitely go back!

Well, what can I say; we had a fantastic holiday and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Our rooms were cleaned most days with clean sheets and towels.
Entertainment fantastic, 5*. Nat, Vic and Dave kept us entertained for hours. (Thanks guys) You could get involved in the daytime activities football, killer darts, pool, volleyball. (If you won- you'd get a certificate at the end of the day in the disco room and stand on stage and have a bit of fun. Kiddy Disco was great and all the kids loved it. (We are the cartoon hero's) 100% well done to the guys who got involved.
Bar Staff very friendly! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Arrived on Saturday 28th October at 3.00am.Found the accommodation to be very good with plenty of space in the lounge and kitchen. Bathroom was clean but basic with the shower connected via the taps but more than adequate. Rooms were cleaned 5 days in 7 including bed sheets and towels.
The hotel itself had 3 saltwater pools with plenty of sunloungers. There were plenty of activities, during the day, going on for every age group up to 16 for the kids and football, darts, pool, volleyball etc. for whoever wanted to join in.
In the night the kids had their various clubs in the main function room and then the adult entertainment began around 9.00 (although the kids were allowed to stay if they wanted to).The hotel had various International acts who in general were excellent e.g. Mama Mia (Abba Tribute Band), Moulin Rouge (Dancing) and Charlie Chaplin (Comedian). These were in addition to the reps arranging their own entertainment e.g. Quiz shows, Bingo and Grease (singing and dancing the story).
The All Inclusive food and drink, both quality and choice was superb. The service of the staff was excellent and I would highly recommend it to future visitors.
If I wanted to be really picky there were 2 slight negatives - for the young adults you needed to go to Veronica's Strip for the pubs and clubs which were a 10 euro taxi ride away and when the weather was bad (unfortunately we had 3 days of rain, 2 dull days and only 2 sunny days) it did get a bit boring but I think that wound be the same anywhere!! Just our luck that after 6 months of no rain we get 3 days in 1 week!!
Would definitely go again; just a shame about the weather.

My family and I have stayed in the Ocean Resort countless times. I first stayed there when i was fourteen, I am now twenty and I will continue to go there.
I have stayed both in ocean palace and nogal beach and I must say, both are of excellent standard. However, I must admit that since First Choice have taken over the entertainment, it is quite weak. As I have stayed there a lot, I have seen many entertainers through the years and I find some of the first choice staff to be a bit rude and mis-guided.
The afternoon entertainment is geared more towards children and men, whereas when there was independent entertainers hired by the hotel, it was much more "free for all" That said, you will still have a great time at this hotel.
The food is fantastic and there is a wide variety. Trust me; you will not be stuck for choice. The staff are very friendly and trained to a very high standard. Tip them well and they will look after you extremely well, trust me!
I have read some reviews on this site complaining about the cleanliness of ocean resort and I honestly can't comprehend where these people got this from. This place is so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor. The pool area is cleaned every morning and the rooms are cleaned 6 days a week. The reception area is immaculate and very welcoming.
Obviously people have there own ideas of what makes a hotel decent but if you decide to go to ocean resort, you will have a great time. Even if for some bizarre reason you don’t like the place, the island of Tenerife is great for people of all ages.
