well i live in tenerife, not too far from the hotel itself. so naturally its odd to go on holiday in the same town you live in, but i got invited to stay there with my friends familly, all inclusive i didnt hvae to pay for a thing.
we speant the entire week relaxing by the pool, and eating and drinking. the shows on the night time were amazing, i loved everything about the place.
obviously the food was not brilliant, all inclusive food never is, but that is the only problem i had with the whole holiday. the room was clean, the pool was clean, nothing floating in there. the staff were lovely, if i ever holiday here again ill definatly chose that destination.

Just come back form a nice winter break at the Ocean Palace (Resort). I too had read some of the comments before going and was a little apprehensive, but there really is no need to be.
The hotel was clean, staff friendly and the room excellent.
The drinks are some of the best I've had on all inclusive. They could have done with more bar staff at times, but that really is nit picking
The quality of the food is good, but there isn't a great deal of choice - maybe 4 or 5 hot dishes in the evening. There is something for everybody, but other AI hotels do a lot better.
The entertainment staff work very hard and put on a good show. The only complaint I'd have is that it starts so late - we had 2 young children with us & one of us had to put them to bed before things had got going.
If you want a cheap family holiday this is the place to go. If you want luxury, pay double & book one of the the Riu hotels.

My Husband and I both in our 60's have just returned from this holiday and to us it was perfect, we have done All Inclusive before with First Choice but this has been the best.
I read some of the reviews before hand and was a little concerned but as soon as we arrived at the complex that all went out of the window everything was great. All the Staff are very polite and can-not seem to do enough for you, we were in the Annexe to the hotel and like every where it was washed down every day, clean towels daily, bed linen changed 3 times a week and the food was wonderful.
I am fairly fussy with my food but this I could not get enough of and as for the Pizza at the snack bar it was great, I don’t eat Pizza at home.
The First Choice entertainers were lovely and Babs the First Choice Rep was brilliant always ready to help and give advice and always ready to have a good laugh with you. The restaurant staff along with everyone else are excellent and the food was always being replenished. Last but not least the main barman in the Irish Bar who is a Londoner, at least that’s what he said, makes your evening go with a swing, so at the end of the day stop moaning and get over there and enjoy it, we will certainly go back.

We have just got back from our holiday, we really enjoyed it, rooms were big and cleaned everyday and were given clean towels each day. Anyone thinking of going there make sure you get a safe, as some people had money taken from the room.
The swimming pool was clean and one of the pools was heated, food was good, staff were friendly, kids club was well run, but the downfall was sometimes you had to pay, which we did not agree with as all inclusive is normally free. Be careful the floors by the pool are very slippery. The pool tables are very over priced.
Overall we had a really good holiday and we would go back there again.

This hotel is amazing, we had a week in the Ocean Resort and could not find fault with anything. We enjoyed our stay that much we have booked to go back in October this year. Food is top quality and plenty of it, entertainers are fantastic my two kids loved them all. Kids club was brill and lots of activity's to do everything was brill would definitely recommend.

We spent a week here in April 06, it was a good holiday. The hotel is in a good location, just outside las Americas centre but close enough to walk to the nightlife. Great weather all year round.
The room was spacious; we were on the third floor and had a great view from the balcony. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet.
The pool was big, and cold, but much needed after sun bathing. Lots of sport facilities available but we didn't do much other than swim. The hotel has a great choice of restaurants and bars which were very good and the service was excellent.
The food standard was good and lots of variety. The staff were very friendly. The town itself was busy but with a good atmosphere. We dined out a few times and also enjoyed the entertainment at the hotel.

All I can say is what a lovely lovely holiday and people who have previously moaned about this hotel are just simply difficult and are probably always unsatisfied.
I booked this hotel to spend Xmas in with 11 of my family and had worried slightly when reading previous reviews as it was all down to me and didn’t want to be in the bad books with them all but luckily everyone loved it.
This hotel was clean, bright, modern all of the staff were friendly and understood English brilliantly - the rooms were great we paid extra for a suite and I would definitely recommend doing so.
Food is nice, plenty of choice. I have a baby of 5 months and a boy of 2 and he didn’t stop eating all holiday.
Weather was great 70-75 every day slightly cloudy in afternoon but just nice to be strolling around in shorts rather than big winter coats.
It was that good that we are going to book up for next year what a fantastic Christmas we all had.

We have just returned home from a 10 night, all inclusive stay at Ocean Palace and we had a fantastic time! We took our four year old and our one year old.
I was fairly concerned by some of the reviews I read before I went as they made it sound awful. I can only say that it must be very hard to please some people.
The food was I thought great, there is a seperate section for children which had chicken nuggets, pasta, sausages etc. There was always a good selection of food at all main meal times, contrary to what I read previously!
The entertainment provided by the First Choice reps was second to none that I have ever seen, nearly every night there were at least 4 reps dancing and playing games with the children at the mini disco!
The bar staff are also extremely friendly and always said hello to the kids. In fact all the staff were friendly and spoke brilliant english.
We had a really great holiday and I cannot fault the hotel at all, the swimming pool can get slippery but if you don't run as the signs tell you then it is fine.
All in all a great place where I intend to return.

We have just returned from the Ocean Palace and have lots to say about this place. Like everyone I read other comments from people who had been and was quite worried.
We took our 3 children 2 boys 5 & 7 and girl 21 months. When we got there we were put in the Nogal beach apartments which we thought were brilliant, it was separate from the main pool but we were on the bottom floor and had two pools just for the kids who were quite shallow practically to our selves.
We went to the main pool once but it was too dangerous kids were slipping everywhere and they weren’t even running.
Our apartment was not 4 star but it was nice and spacious.
We decided for the first time to go all inclusive BIG MISTAKE the food in the evening was awful even the kids didn’t eat it. We lived off the snacks from the bar in the day which was mainly cheese toasties. We had to buy some English coco pops for the room for breakfast. It is the only holiday I have been on where I have actually lost weight.
On a good note though the kids really enjoyed the kids club which was brilliant we hardly saw them they went bowling once for 3 hours and had all sorts of parties. Also the hotel is quite far out.
We caught the bus one say into Las Americas and we decided to walk back it took most of the afternoon. We definitely will not be returning back to the Ocean Palace and anyone who loves to eat, stay well clear.

The hotel is clean and with a little grandeur. The food was of good quality. The entertainment was generally good with both a pre cabaret and a main cabaret.
Very British and can include some "rough guests". Generally didn't see any rude waiters/barmen etc but saw quite a few rude holiday makers!
The Irish bar is nice and quiet and completely misnamed as an Irish Bar. There is absolutely nothing Irish about it and it doesn’t serve stout or beer!
Both pools are excellent and don’t worry if you are in the annex it is well furnished and the pools around that side offer a quiet alternative but it’s only a 45 second walk through the hotel to the main pool.
The hotel was a little noisy late on at times but again you cannot blame the hotel just inconsiderate guests!

Arrived at the Ocean resort on June 1st with my hubby and two children aged 4 and 1. On arrival reception looked great so thought it was going to be a lovely hotel. We arrived to our room and I noticed my husband was looking uncomfortable as he tried to remove a condom from under the couch before my 4 year old son saw it, bad start!!!! Reported this to reception and rep the next day as room was filthy. Nobody came to clean the room and at 4pm that day I reported it again and somebody came.
Food was a disgrace, great if you eat chips everyday, hair in your food was expected after about three days. Even the night we ate in the Italian which again was a disgrace we found a hair. After so much complaining we were moved to a superior suite which was no cleaner but a little bigger.
While we were in the Ocean Palace there were seven attempted break-ins!!!
We travelled with First Choice holidays and will travel with them again as the reps work to a 100 percent standard and cannot be held responsible for the Ocean Palace.

Where can i start........ Booking with KWIK TRAVEL.COM was 1st Class. They provided great service and customer service.
We booked this week holiday in July 2007 after much reserach and recommendations.
We travelled 10th Feb 2008 and upon arrival at the OCEAN PALACE RESORT COSTA ADEJE TENERIFE we were met late in the evening by the desk official only to be told THEY HAD NO AVAILIABLITY...........
We were GOB SMACKED & totally shocked. The guy just said there was nothing they could do. I demanded to speak with the manager David. All he could do was ask us to stay at another hotel they had arranged called the ISLA BONITA. The worst part of this FARCE was my two young daughters were in absolute floods of tears. This was so heart wrenching to see.
We had been up from 5am that morning and we were all excited.I DO NEVER WANT TO SEE THEM LIKE THAT AGAIN, it was unacceptable.
We arrived there to stay just the night, it was awful,it was more like a throw back from the 1970's.
The next day we were met by the manager from the OCEAN PALACE RESORT, he still would not confirm our reservation, but we were ferried back there.
Eventually they gave us one of their apartments in the NOGAL BEACH.
When OCEAN PALACE RESORT was built, NOGAL BEACH was bought by the Ocean group and a bridge was built to join the two hotels.
We were still entitled to the same facilities but we did not have the view to the main pool, the town and the Ocean as we had paid for.
You do not buy a porche and then be told they have none left, but they offer you a skoda (not that there is anything wrong with a Skoda). And have to have that instead.
We paid just under £1000.00 for the whole holiday and we did not get what we paid for.
David Feubles the resort mgr subsequently gave me a fax they had sent to YOU TRAVEL.COM to confirm on 6th Feb 2008 hat they could not put us up.
Jenny Demitriova from YOU TRAVEL.COM stated in a letter that they did not accept this and that Ocean Palace should have displaced another client.
I complained to Jenny our rep from YOU TRAVEL.COM who stated that they did not accept the hotel fax on 6th Feb stating they could not put us up.
David the resort manager eventually admitted the hotel had overbooked,BUT WE BOOKED JULY 2007.
All they tried to do was palm us off with a car and trips to the water park. I spent at least three of the days trying to find out who had messed this up.
I am now making a full official complaint and it will also be handed over to ABTA.
We even received our confirmation and E-vouchers the week we travelled.
It is disgraceful and disgusting to be treated this way,i am seeking financial compensation.
