Do not believe the hype.
This is a poor quality hotel without;
Water.... in the swimming pool!
Entertainment.... apart from Pedro every few days or so!
The excuse for not having the pool filled with water was maintainance, but Pedro came out 3 times during our 10 day nightmare for an hour or so to grout a few tiles.
Pools need attendants, so no water means no need for one
Pools need heating, so, no water saves them money
Would an 80+ year old Spaniard be relaxing by the pool?
These people got a room and board for nothing, so would not have any need for a drink by the pool... besides, there was no attempt to have any poolside bar... no pool water you see!
Tea or coffee making facilities... non existent!
The coffee at meal time is out of a machine, is sickly and over strong.. meal times were 7pm to 9pm and 8am to 10am for a breakfast with fat riddled sloppy bacon that I tried once and almost threw up... swimming in fat, cold egg, very iffy sausages guarenteed to give you the trots or worse, muesli without.... nuts or fruit, but plenty of raw oats to give you integestine all day.
A decent menu for people other than aged Spaniards on a freebee holiday courtesy of the Spanish goverment!
Digital safes in your room( we had to pay 2.50 per day + 10.00 deposit for borrowing a safe key!)
Just got back Thursday 17th March 2011
If you are considering booking this dump... don't
If you have booked it, change it now, or face the consequences of;
a fish smell lingering every single night
Cockroaches in the bathroom, which are killed daily!
Ignorant and extremely loud Spaniards shouting at each other every single minute of their waking day, and there are hundreds of them... think of the film Zulus... they just keep coming!
They are very ignorant to us gringos.
A nightmare experience which I will never repeat!

We visit this hotel at least twice every year.
It is exellent value for money, helpfull staff, the same ones in many cases as when we first visited, who greet us as old friends.
The food is good plain cooking
The hotel is very well connected, the Torreblanca station is only about 300 m. away with a good reliable service to Malaga central the main line station.
No need for a shuttle from the airport, make your way to the
new airport station and get a ticket to Torreblanca 1.70 Euro
There is a good bus service into Fuengirola and also along the coast in both directions
- Advice: great value !!

Cant believe that people think the bedrooms are spacious. Where have they stayed before this? Our room had 3 beds and there was not one inch between them! The rooms were old, the toilet seat did not quite fit the toilet, etc, but they were clean. The big plus was the position of the hotel, literally 5 mins from the beach via an underpass outside the hotel to avoid busy road and accessibility to the train station from Malaga to Fuengirola centre (a downmarket and dirty place). Torreblanca itself where the hotel is situated despite its address is quiet but Ok for our 6 year old grandson. The beach was great and Coast to Coast cafe on the front was excellent for a pizza lunch. The food in the hotel was average, but again our grandson could find something to eat at each meal. Try and book a quiet room because the Spanish (80%) in this hotel are loud, noisy and rude as usual. The hotel pool was OK too and no fighting for a sunbed as they are not released until 10am and there is plenty to go round. The main drawback is that there are no umbrellas around the pool area. While we were there the weather was excellent. While we have our grandson with us we would consider this hotel again, but we do prefer being in Torrelominos to be honest.
- Advice: Dirty and expensive, stay away
- Activities: Coast to Coast cafe on the front for lunch (English owned and very friendly)

We have just returned from This resort, and was bit apprehensive about going after reading the reviews. However, after our 10 day stay we would go back to this hotel in a second. The rooms were spacious and clean, as the cleaners come in everyday. After paying to go Half board, we couldn't fault the food for what we paid for. The location is quiet and isn't suited for a large group of younger people. Although as an 18 and 19 year old couple we found it perfect for what we were after, we did not find the the 20 minute walk to the main resort of Furengirola as a problem.
Even though this is stated to be in Furengirola, it is actually in Torreblanca, this didn't seem to be a problem as the train station is close, and there are regulary buses for only 1 euro. The only complaint i have about this hotel is not the hotel itself, but the people it attracts, as all the residents were old and spainsh! They also seemed to be very rude towards the english, and we even got pushed out a lift! MOST the Staff were friendly, however they did make an effort to speak English.
Overall, for the money you pay i highly recommend this part of spain, and this resort in particular.

there was a big pool that was cleaned every day quite busy though.

The only good thing about this hotel is cleanliness.Food was appauling on 3 occassion the same meat was served. I had no children with me but every night it was nuggets and chips! The entertainment was obviously geared to the majority of local spanish people that visited the hotel. There was no daytime pool entertainment not once did I here any annoucements for holidaymakers to join in.The vast majority of holiday makers at this resort were over 70. Surely tour operators know what age range hotels cater for. It was absoulutely boring. I also think this hotel should be rated a 2 star its far below the standards of any 3 star holiday I have ever been on.
Sorry its all doom and gloom but you cant say I didnt tell you!

Family holiday with two children, hotel was very clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful, food was good. Room was ok, take a kettle though if you want tea/coffee. Beach is a two minute walk using the underpass, resort is pretty good with good bus and rail links, station is just round the corner. Swimming pool is clean, although if you want a sun bed for the day you have to start queuing at around 07:30ish.
Great water park and crocidile park just down the road, well worth visiting. We had a great time here and would use the hotel again.

I went with a 16 year old and 9 year old as a single parent. We had a lovely time. The room was lovely and clean. The meals were varied and eventhough the kids had chips most of the time they try and do that at home anyway! The entertainment was ok better the first week when we hadnt seen it all before! All in all we did lots, watersports, trips to aquaparks, by the way the mijas aqua park was much better than the torremolinos park, relaxed and much less queues etc We went on the bus which was 2 minutes frm the hotel to the fuengorola zoo and market which was only 1 euro. We had a smashing time. The smile high water sports company on the beach were great and reasonably priced we did parasailing and other stuff and it really added to our holiday. Have a great time all who are going there.

My wife and i arrived at hotal,we are both disabled,we asked for a porter to help with luggage,we were told to find our own trolly, and make our own way to the fifth floor,we had to ask other guest to help us.The rooms are basic but clean ,the noise was ear shattering, till well after 12 midnight, the food was good but simular every day,The hotal caters for Spanish people, little or no english is spoken, there are no waiters so if disabled it gets to be very depressing ,it is advertived as a 4 star, its a 3 star.
