Well, where do I start?
Hotel. Clean, staff friendly enough, bar staff great. On the down side though, the pool area was often plagued with a bad smell from the drains. The pool was a good size though, clean but full of chemicals, and unbelievably cold!
Now to the food. Now I'm not a person who expects a great deal from a 3* hotel but I must say in the two weeks we were there we must have only had a total of around 8-10 meals. That's breakfast and dinner combined.
Those people who said the breakfast was good must eat in greasy cafes a lot. The fried eggs were always swimming in fat and either raw and slimy on top or completely solid.
The scrambled eggs made me heave. They were that watery you could have sieved them through a teabag and they would have been just the same.
The bacon; 25% meat 75% fat. My son was disgusted.
The bread for the toast would have come in handy if you were being attacked by one of the female Spanish pensioners, it was rock hard.
Don't even try the cereal; the experience will scar you for life.
Evening meal was even worse. Everything soaked in oil. They even had bloody perch (the fish) on the menu, as well as swordfish, and all sorts of weird things. Even the chips were disgusting. The best thing was the salad, but that only consisted of tomatoes, lettuce, and onion.
I won't be going back to that hotel but would consider going back to the area. A couple of good bars on the front not too far toward Fuengirola, Flav’s, and Coyote's.
Beach is clean and sandy.
Food not too expensive when you're eating out. And two great waterparks not too far away.
The rating I've given is for the hotel, the holiday was great apart from the food.
Nearly forgot, the trains and buses are cheap and on time, make the most of them.
Have fun with the grannies. And I had to laugh at how they all line up on the terrace near the pool in the evening.
Enjoy!

This is the second time we have been to this hotel. First time we had friends with us and it wasn't too bad, but last year it was atrocious.
You couldn't move for Spanish pensioners, who are the rudest people I have ever come across. The 'entertainment' was orientated towards the Spanish, air enough they were on holiday too but British people didn't get a look in.
The food was terrible, we had theme nights the first time we went but this time it was all they could do to vary the menu.
You had to be down for your evening meal at 7 o'clock on the dot or you were overrun by Spaniards, and God forbid you sat at their table.
If you're thinking of booking here think again.

Three of us, all over 65, have just come back home. The hotel is clean and comfortable.
Food is as expected for a hotel of this type, maybe better. Breakfast had a good selection - eggs - fried, scrambled or boiled, ham, sausages, black pudding, fried bread, cold meats etc.
Dinner - a good selection, chicken, turkey, veal, lasagne, spaghetti etc. etc.
Entertainment and the dining hall were spoiled by the Spaniards who were all pensioners, most of whom we found to be very rude and very noisy and in great numbers.
If you do go arrive at dinner before 8.00 pm, the pensioners are released later, and the first part of your meal will be quiet and peaceful.
The staff were all very helpful, efficient and well mannered.
It was just a pity that the Spanish holiday makers were not the same.
I have been to various parts of Spain and found the people friendly and well mannered so I don't know where the Spanish residents came from that plagued the hotel; they are definitely not representative of the Spaniards that I have met before.

Food - Excellent breakfast, fried boiled scrambled, eggs all very hot, sausage bacon fried bread. Beans tomatoes seven or eight different types of bread /rolls, several cereals ice cold milk tea coffee fruit juices toaster.
Don’t know about lunch as we were only half board.
Evening meal. Choice of meats fish choice of veg potatoes chips soup excellent choice of sweets fresh fruit ice cream biscuits. All hot food was extremely hot.
They do however cater for the Spanish pensioners who I must admit are the most ignorant group you could find anywhere with voices set to at least two hundred metres and they can all carry on a six way conversation at the same time.
The hotel itself was clean and the majority of the staff were reasonable pleasant.

My boyfriend thought he would surprise me by taking me away for my birthday.
After this holiday, told him to stick to chocolates! I was 34 but I felt like someone’s grandchild.
Hotel was spotless and staff were nice enough, food was ok but it was the same stuff every day. We chose to eat out.
Not being disrespectful but if you are over 60, this holiday will be perfect, if under that age, don’t bother.

I though that the hotel was excellent. To say that I went in February, I didn't expect there to be much entertainment but there was something on every night and it was brilliant.
The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were spacious and very clean apart from the floors that could of been cleaned.
We went half board for 3 nights and I thought the range of food was nice, had a different choice of starters, mains and puddings.
Most people have winged about the Spanish people there, well what do you expect when your going to Spain, if you want English stay in England.
Overall I found the hotel enjoyable and the location was perfect.

Me, my husband and my 3 sons stayed at the Fuengirola Park Hotel and thought it was fantastic.
One of my son's has muscular dystrophy which means that he requires a wheelchair, and we was a little bit hesitant to see if this hotel had disabled access. His wheelchair is rather large and we were also wondering if it would fit through the door into the room in our hotel, however after asking one of my friends that had just recently visited this hotel, she assured us that this hotel was perfectly well for wheelchair users.
When we arrived at the hotel we were amazed at how nice the hotel staff were, and very friendly with all my sons. All the staff spoke fluent English.
We had to have a special room that was only for wheelchair users, we were amazed at how professional this hotel was. Our room was very spacious and my son had no problem using his wheelchair.
On the first day we were all just sitting by the pool when one of the hotel entertainers came over to us and asked us if my 3 sons would like to join the kids club, my son josh that is the wheelchair user was shocked that she had asked him because on other holiday we have been on, there has never been anything that my son can do when it comes to the day time activities. However, the entertainer assured us that my son would have no problem as most of the games were played whilst sitting down anyway.
The holiday was a really success and we all had a wonderful time, even though there were a few set backs. It was the 4th night into our holiday and we had just finished our evening meal and was setting of back to our room, when we got to the lifts one of the hotel receptionists had informed us that the lifts were broken and was not going to be fixed for a few hours. So of course, we had no other choice but to wait until the lifts were fixed to get josh back up to his room.
However, we did not let this little set back ruin our holiday, we still had a fantastic holiday and I recommend this hotel to anyone, and definitely for wheel chair users.
We will see you again next year!

The Fuengirola Park hotel caters in the majority for Spanish pensioners. The entertainment is for Spanish only and the food at most times is inedible. Having booked half board we were unable to eat in the hotel due to the low quality of the food and the second rate service which bordered being rude. The rooms were basic with no tea making facilities or any facilities for storing cold drinks.
The plumbing made so much noise in the mornings that it woke you up and the noise from the other rooms and corridors was much too loud. The hotel does not cater for young people or children and is so far away from the night life that it becomes a chore to travel into town every night.
I would not recommend this hotel or indeed the whole resort to anyone I knew as it is a total waste of money.

I have been back 3 weeks, had to add my views after reading others. Alas I am in total agreement with them, the hotel overall is very poor.
The food was very poor ,as was the entertainment. However the only positive was the location which was handy for reaching other resorts which sums it up as you had to leave the complex every night as the lack of entertainment, as the overrun of Spanish who went out of there to make it uncomfortable for you was awful as we are all on holiday together. Which possibly accounted for the attitude of the staff also Spanish towards any other nationality.
We feel we were totally mis-sold this hotel as what was stated in the brochure, luckily we were on our own that is my wife and I (both 45yrs old) no children so no time table to keep thank god or this experience would of been 100 times worse. Stay away nothing for families, nothing for couples.
I noticed the only good comments about this hotel where from people who booked independently and not through a agent interesting don’t you think!

I agree with most of the other reviews regarding the food. We only eat in the hotel once (just to try it). It was the breakfast - we found everything to be cold, therefore not nice to eat. By the time I had waited in the queue for the orange juice (there is only one machine and the glasses are so small you would have to get about 4 just to satisfy) my partner had finished his breakfast!
Some goods points about the hotel are that the rooms are kept extremely clean. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is large.
Make sure you get up early to get a bed as there is not enough for all customers. We also thought was far too many sun worshipers (bed hoggers!) here.
Would recommend resort - had great time. Make sure you go to Tokyo restaurant.
Enjoy!

Whilst reading previous reviews I was really worried about staying at the Fuengirola Park Hotel but on my arrival although the hotel could do with a little modernisation I found the rooms clean and tidy and the food was outstanding, such a choice and I couldn't fault any part of it.
The staff were friendly and although the swimming pool looked quite nice the beach was just across the road so we went there on a daily basis.
I would definitely go back and can't believe the previous reviews are for the same hotel!

Food 2/10
Breakfast 3/10
Sausages were burnt and didn’t taste great!
Eggs - No complaints the eggs was the best out of the whole breakfast
Bacon - The Bacon tasted terrible
Bread - Apart from the toasters taking 8 mins to toast the bread was always fresh
Beans - Very nice but you can’t go wrong with beans
Coffee - Always a long wait for coffee, tea
Hot Chocolate - Worse I have ever tasted
Orange, Pineapple Juice - Not to bad
My Suggestion is to have Beans on Toast or just beans and eggs, or go to Timmy’s next to the tennis courts for breakfast as they can cook a great fry up and it’s also cheap
Dinner 3/10
Every day it changed apart from the Soup and always having chips
Soup and Rolls was nice but did taste a little funny
Chicken - Can’t complain it wasn’t the best but far from the worse!
Fish - Always changed which was good and the fish was always nice and fresh, especially the Prawns which you only receive if the inspector is at the hotel
Rice - Cold
Italian Food - Meatballs, Lasagne etc Didn’t taste good at all!
It was a shame I was on Half Board as I would have enjoyed going out for something nice
You also have to pay for a bottle of water which I think is a rip off!
Tea, Coffee, Orange is not free at dinner
Desserts
Ice Cream was ok rest of deserts was very basic and not nice
Entertainment
1/10
Worse I have ever seen! I gave 1/10 because the Magic entertainer was ok!
Nightlife at Hotel
1/10
Dead! Nothing to do all the oldies are in bed by 9pm
Rooms 2/10
Very Basic
2 Beds very small and a TV with just BBC and Sky News
No Fridge, Kettle, Iron
Bathroom
Apart from next door being able to hear you through the vents and always hearing the plumbing and the shower handle not being able to fit on the hook it was ok
Also the Balcony is very unsafe don’t let kids out on it!
Lifts - Not Bad but smell
Hotel Toilets - All smelled like ****! Disgusting!
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU’RE SPANISH AND OVER 60!!!!
The Rep at the hotel was very poor and was not around much!
Outside the Hotel
Train station is very close and will take you in to some nice places including San Andres :) also very cheap not like London thanks to Mr Livingstone
Bars
There are 3 bars outside the hotel
The Rovers return
2/10 Very Poor bar but opened till late
Timmy’s
7/10 Very Friendly cheap drinks
English Tavern
9/10 Very Friendly and Cheap and you get free Peanuts and the Football is on the tele, But its shame it closes at 1pm
Bars Worth going
Linda’s
We went on a Monday and it was a great night! As soon as you go in you may think its a gay bar but don’t worry its safe! The entertainer was very camp though but also very funny and you can also enjoy singing after
Further down the coast you will find The London Pub and The Underground Nightclub
These were overpriced and full of drunken kids wanting to fight! Not the greatest place on the Costa del Sol
If you enjoy walking and shopping you will enjoy this holiday a lot because that is all we done I didn’t have the greatest of times!
Pool area 5/10
Not bad but could improve a lot
Beach 6/10
Nice Beach and good for a stroll down it where you will also find 5000 shops
Excursions
We only went on 2 which was a big shame
Gibraltar and Dolphin Boat trip
Gibraltar was a nice place and worth going for a day, Not much to do so don't go for longer
The Dolphin Trip was great
We were out for around 2 hours and spotted around 20 Dolphins great thing to do
Malaga is a nice place to stop if you like your history - Get a train
