We visited this hotel over Christmas, we found overall the hotel and service was very good although after two weeks of the same menu we'd had enough. The food was good just very repetitive. The cleanliness seemed outstanding and the view out of the windows were spectacular. Our only complaint being "please could we have some more soap?". Having a 14 year old daughter the area wasn't the best place ever but there is a lot that you can do in Fuengirola a short train ride away. I would recommend a trip to the zoo in Fuengirola and I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Overall I think we would return to this hotel.

We had one week’s holiday in October. Although the Hotel appeared to be clean hygiene left a lot to be desired.
One member of staff on the sweet trolley used her hands to move food around. The food was just edible we were on a half board basis, limited in choice, breakfast there was a selection of cooked meals available but for people who cannot eat a cooked breakfast there was only toast. Bread and one variety of fruit each morning.
Our room was clean but we were not provided with clean towels and glasses on a daily basis.
Fuengirola is a quiet place we saw no trouble although a lot of elderly people on holiday, and it was the middle of Oct. Not a lot to do in Fuengirola, but trains and buses are regular to visit other areas which are lovely. The Zoo is a must visit.
A lot of the bars are owned by British people and are friendly.
Fuengirola town is ok to shop.

My partner and I (in our 50's) stayed in the Fueng. Pk Hotel for two weeks. The room was cleaned regularly and properly. I agree with comments regarding the dated entertainment, although I appreciated one evening of traditional Spanish dancing, as when in Spain - I want to have a Spanish experience.
It was unfortunate that the bus loads of Spanish retired folk arriving daily obviously had no wish to mingle with the English tourists. This wasn't just at the hotel. We experienced this everywhere we went. In the case of the elderly, I think this is down to a lack of education on the financial benefits of tourism to the Spanish economy. But we English keep going back to Spain, so really we need to zip it up regarding the hostility of the older folk.
I was personally shouted down by a little Spanish couple (have you noticed they are all short people) when I sat down to argue with yet another fried breakfast. It seemed that I had taken their table before they were finished. The vindictive behaviour from this husband and wife team was unnerving - and all in the vicinity witnessed this display.
Not sure what the situation was before, but now there is a notice up outside the dining room in Spanish saying that Spanish groups may only come into the dining room from 8.15pm. The elderly Spanish nationals are given a free two week holiday once a year (which includes a bottle of water and a bottle of wine every night) and who knows where these people have come from. They could have spent most of their lives - the men as shepherds and the women stamping grapes. No one has ever taught them how to behave, particularly in a restaurant. What we English see as arrogance may be nothing more than normal Spanish behaviour. Understandably the English are keen to get dinner out of the way early to beat the Spanish armada at 8.15pm
The mass produced food is not pleasant. Cooked hours before, reheated, old food mixed with new food coming in to keep the food bins topped up. No evidence of Health & Safety regulations in place. But that's what I love about Spain. Its a laid back country with all the rules and regs written, but no one is bothering.
Regarding the pool rules - again I believe things must have changed a little. The signs are up to say that no blow up beds or balls are allowed in the pool, but we saw children with these in the pool. It would appear that they have relaxed this ruling, but would probably enforce it if it became impossible for other guests to have a decent swim without bumping into balls etc.
The previous comment about the sunbeds is interesting. I think we're a sad bunch if all we want out of our spanish holiday is to book a bed by the pool after breakfast. And we have the cheek to tell friends back home that we've seen Spain - have we hell!! Get out, hire a car and really see Spain. Lying on a sunbed for a week is not seeing Spain.
The reason the bingo numbers are read out in Spanish first is dah! - your in Spain and Spanish is the first language of Spain. I think we need to get away from the thinking that we can go to Spain and expect to find a little England in the sun.
We also met Colin & Diane at the Wessex Grill. Shock and Horror when they told us that they don't really speak Spanish because in the 4 years they've lived in Spain they have only mixed with English people. Is it any wonder that we get a hostile reception when we don't even make the effort to speak the lingo.
Back to Fuer. Pk Hotel. I'd say my stomach stood the digestive abuse for the first week. I found one particular hotel receptionist (young girl) very difficult to deal with, so much so that when she was on duty, I asked my partner to do the honours.
This hotel is aptly rated - this is what you get from a 3 star hotel. As I didn't get a truly Spanish holiday, my next stop will be the mountains, specifically Iznajar, Cordoba by the lakes.

Myself and a friend spent the week at the above hotel and had a really good time.
The hotel was really clean and although a lot of people were not happy with the amount of choice at meal times we found the food lovely.
The entertainment was mainly Spanish but was very good and made a nice change from the normal English acts.
We read the reviews on the hotel after we had booked and was abit worried as they were not all that good, but we had no need to worry and had a brill time.

Just got back today from a week at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and tidy, friendly staff.
Entertainment was very limited and you can’t see very well either! If you think paying for a holiday for about £800, say £300 for flights, leaving you with £500 for hotel room. The room was very basic, you walk in have a bathroom and then some beds very limited space! The food was ok, it was basic with limited choice and quite hard to find a clean table!
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for teenager’s maybe it will be better nearer the school holidays!
Whereas the resort its self was very good, quite peaceful, nice beaches, very easy to use local bus and very cheap! Very nice restaurants and bars!

Transport links were great - easy to travel to other places. Beach was beautiful.
Food was AWFUL!!!! Even the breakfast was terrible. Sorry we went half board - have travelled to many places in mainland Spain and this was the WORST food I have ever tasted.
Would go back to Fuengirola but definitely not to this hotel.
Catered for Spanish but nobody else.

Hotel food ok, though lots of people were eating out regularly because food quality. No real entertainment for children/adults there were a couple of entertainers on the organ-hotel seems to cater more for its Spanish guests.
Hotel staff not particularly helpful-lack of information for guests arriving and not forthcoming with information about accessing room for showers for late departure.
Rooms, public rooms, and pool areas could all do with refurbishment. Poor quality bedding in rooms, grey towels and I wonder if maids did clean rooms daily.
Location -about 30 minute walk to centre of Fuengirola but hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train station and it is easy to travel to Benalmadena and Torremolinos. Trains are clean and spacious and destination displayed clearly.
Tickets are purchased from ticket machine on the platform. Mijas -good excursion. There are also several markets held weekly. Marina in Benalmadena worth a visit. Trips to Gibraltar seemed popular with some of the guests. Would return to Costa de Sol but not to this Hotel.

Staff were nice, food totally disgusting. I am not a fussy eater but everything was cold. I never had a hot meal. It was like feeding time at the zoo. Breakfast was worse, I waited to get a fresh egg and when it arrived 20 minutes later, I bit into it and it was cold in the middle - not healthy!!!!
The Entertainment was rubbish, no point having a relaxing day around the pool, everyone starts queueing from 9am in the morning for sunbeds.
Rooms were very small and dated with no where to cool drinks. Cleaners didn't even bother changing the beds half the time, or emptying the bins. Spanish guests were totally rude and arrogant. Overall a very disappointing and nasty holiday!!!

Very clean hotel with friendly staff.
The down side is the food, not much of a choice.
The sunbeds are locked up on a night and opened at 10am where everybody is ready to pounce.
In general not too bad and location is good.

Well what can I say? Myself, my husband and our 11 year old daughter went away feeling very scared about going to this hotel after all the bad reports I had read on this site. But don’t listen to what you hear. It was not as bad as people made out. All I can say is what do people expect for a 3* hotel.
The hotel was clean and tidy, and everything was cleaned every day including our room. Our towels were changed daily and the room always smelt clean and fresh when we came back in. The food was fine there was always something different to choose from and the staff were always changing it, even if it had not been sat there for very long. The tables were always cleared away very quickly, sometimes we had only just finished and the waiter/waitress was there moving things out of your way to make room for more and you could eat as much as you wanted.
Yes its right about the pool area... there are not enough beds to go around and people were sat waiting for them to be unlocked by the life guard but hay if that’s all people have to moan about then they must be very sad people. The pool was always being checked by people to make sure it was clean and safe for people to be in. It was also cleaned every day.
There were Spanish OAP's there but not that many, there were more families than anything, and the Spanish OAP’s were not rude at all. The only down fall of the whole thing was the evening entertainment, as there really was not that much going on. But that didn’t spoil the holiday because we just did our own thing and went out elsewhere.
So don’t be put off by all the bad reports every one is different and remember it’s only a 3* hotel. It not that bad some people have just got nothing else better to do than moan. Put it this way my husband moans about everything and he didn’t think it was bad at all.

The hotel is at the quiet end of Fuengirola - too far to walk to the town centre, but only a couple of hundred yards from the beach. There's a train station a couple of hundred yards from the hotel, and it's only a 5-10 minute journey to the town centre, and costs just over 1 euro each way. This train can also get you to and from Malaga Airport, and to other resorts such as Torremolinos and Banelmadena.
The room was fine - clean, tidy, air conditioned, no bugs or creepy crawlies. The pool area is not bad, except not enough sun beds. There is a shady area for when it gets too hot. There are three bars, the downstairs main bar, a pool bar, and a quiet upstairs bar near reception.
The food was quite good, there was plenty of choice and it was well cooked. I would recommend getting into the restaurant early, as it gets VERY busy and chaotic later. My wife had a special food request, and the head waiter organised it for her.
The entertainment at the hotel was poor and aimed totally at the Spanish guests, which is not surprising as they make up the majority of the guests. The staff were generally good, but the front desk staff were not always helpful.
Overall, MUCH better than some of the reviews on this web site suggest. Perhaps they've seen the reviews and tried to improve.

ive only just found this site so im sorry if you dont find my comments helpful as there a bit late but i will express them anyway
firstley i must stress im no snob but this hotel has to be the worst hotel i have ever been to and thats counting that i got food poisoning from one.
every bad remake made about this hotel is true i will list them :-
glasses in rooms never changed whole 2 weeks stayed there MILLDEW around the bath
food worst ive ever had
ntertainement c**p didnt bother with i,
haveing to que for sunbeds at 10am never have experenced this before
instead of the useuall at other hotel they do the gardening when no guests are sunbathing they just do this when they feal like it
utterley disgusting smell wafting from pool area made me heave everyday
my biggest greavence was that the staff on duty at the pool bar served alcohol to the life guard whilst he was ON DUTY dureung the day more than once and to me thats very dangerious i can even tell you what he was drinking as i saw him put it directley into his coffe so the guests or members of management did'nt see what he was drinking but i DID!!!
i will never stay here again i would even go back to the hotel i recieved food poisoning from rather than EVER STAYING HERE AGAIN AND I ADVISE THAT NOONE ELSE DOES very poor hotel and way over priced if i had know what this hotel was like i would never have booked it would rether have stayed in faulty towers than this hotel
