Cristian Sur Apartments

My husband and I plus 2 children (9) and (6) just returned today from a fantastic holiday at the Tenerife Sur apartments. Accomadation was basic but extremely clean and couldn't fault the view from our apartment as we looked out over the pool.
Plenty of sunbeds, although did have to be down at the pool by 9am to insure a sunshade.
Onsite restaurants very good with pleasent freindly staff and good service offering a good selection of dishes, and children meals.
Excellent value for money!

Nothing to complain about, Number 65 was just what the doctor ordered.
This was a clean nice place with Wi Fi a must if you need to bring the laptop.
The pool was clean and not two many people just the right time to come.
We did all the trips and all worth while, just one thing. Never buy on the first day and never to someone who fallows you on to the street. Look around and then buy tip never bring money out on the first day, just for food.

We stayed in the Cristian Sur Apartments and found them to be very pleasant, although we found out that certainly in Cristian Sur, most of the apartments are privately owned so the standard of fixtures and fittings does seem to vary. Ours was very nice, clean and even had a washing machine which came in handy.
The pools were excellent, apparently both pools were completely refurbished over 2004 and 2005 so are in tip top condition. We also tried the pool over the road at the Tenerife Sur (The sister hotel complex) where the pools were also fine and Heated which was a bonus on some days.
The sun bed situation is a little laughable, although we generally managed to get a couple of beds without going to queue at silly o'clock. However, on the one occasion there were no free beds, we took down a couple of fold up sun loungers from the apartment so not a big hassle.
Plenty of restaurants and quiet bars near by, good for the family and not too pricey. The onsite supermarket is more expensive than ones in town, but then you don't have to lug shopping bags that far so probably worth the few cents extra in the end.
What could they do better??? Well less steps would be good, but they do seem to have swapped some for ramps so maybe that’s an ongoing process. Air Con in the rooms would also be nice but then I'm sure the apartment would have cost more to rent so I suppose the old adage "you get what you pay for" comes in there.
We really enjoyed our stay, so happy to recommend it.

We traveled in a party of 10 (2 families) the apartments were quite dated although clean, but lots of stairs.
The pools and surrounding areas were very nice, clean and catered for all ranges of swimmers, BUT THE SUNBED SITUATION was unbearable, having to get up and queue for a sun bed by 8.30am for when they unlocked the beds at 9am and then to find out that the management told people that complained they did not have a sun bed that they could remove peoples towels from a sun bed that was unattended even if they got up and went in the pool and this did happen to us when we went to the bar to get some lunch.
There are quite obviously not enough sun beds and I dread to think what the situation is like in the summer holidays.
The best thing about these apartments was the friendly bar staff and very friendly service they gave, it’s a shame the management don’t take some lessons from them.

The Cristian Sur Apartments are reasonably well located, but if you're walking small children to the beach / centre expect to have to carry them back!
The first apartment (52 Azul) was ground floor as we have 2 small children and didn't want the hassle of getting them & buggies up & down stairs, the location of the apartment within the complex was reasonable although facing the road (with hindsight I would have asked for a southerly aspect to the patio our apartment being on the south side of the road).
At first sight the apartment was uninspiring and a little bit dated a view compounded as time progressed as we discovered the cheap nature of all the fixtures & fittings, a filthy sofa bed and beds in the main bedroom that where little more than camp beds. The biggest single issue we had was lack of hot water (something you need plenty of when you have children with you!)there was barely enough for 1 shower, we then had to wait for the water to heat up before taking a second etc etc.
The second apartment (52 Verde)was much better being very smart looking and having a washing machine!

Very pleasant place to stay. Myself and wife early 30's, nice pools, pleasant friendly staff, good food. Nice relaxing time, About 15min walk for the sea front.
Have been back since and stayed over the road, both equally as good, better to have a pool view rather than a road, but still very nice.

Apartment very clean and in a perfect location for the beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms however very hot as no air conditioning only ceiling fans, which didn’t help much. electric is on by your room card so take a Tesco club card or something to leave in the slot in the day to keep electric on!
Pool was very clean but very annoying that if you want a sun bed you have to queue at 8am to get one!!!! Some sados are there at 7am!!! Christian sur which is over the road (and is sister hotel,) the pool has no water in! And after talking to a couple who always go to Tenerife sur every year it hasn’t been working for years! They come over and use the pool so it gets very busy! Hence the queuing for sunloungers.
The on site shop is very expensive so use the super market over the road. overall very nice hotel but very busy and not enough equipment for all the guests.
