We have just spent two weeks at the Montana Pine hotel, the hotel facilities are excellent, the food a delight, the children are very safe during the day and evening, the staff are truly genuine friendly people. We had some great trips out including scuba diving and a day out on the hotels boat. The Blue Lagoon beach is superb and on the doorstep. This is a holiday where you can have lazy days at the hotel, enjoy a massage or treatment or spa on site,go to the beach or many other trips. There is something for everyone and we will definitely go back.Turkey has everything, great weather and good value and charming people
- Advice: speak to the tour rep and hotel staff

Would never return to this resort again. Trip advisor and other review sites only portray the good experiences (approximately 10% of overall guests), trust me there are enough bad experiences to stop you from booking this resort. Firstly it is in the middle of nowhere and cannot be described as being in Olu Deniz, it is closer to Hisaranou which is some miles up the hill. Hisaranou is a lively resort which compliments the dire programme on offer here. The food is awful. A family we met with children ate out every day and night for two weeks. Entertainment is the worst I have ever had the misfortune to endure. Staff are all false and seem unnerved at their management and some staff are very disrespectful and can make your holiday stressful and uncomfortable. Overall a place to avoid. There are many, many better resorts on offer in the region. More people should bother to give their true experience of this place to demonstrate this is not a platinum resort by far. It is simply a 3 star at best which should not offer any board basis what so ever. Daytimes long, uneventful and boring. Night times disturbed as mentioned above by painful drawn out entertainment! Only positive is, the cleaners keep the place spotless and ground staff keep the gardens nice. Overall in a nutshell. Families with children there is nothing to do. Young couples will be bored, hungry and stressed. Older guests will struggle to move out of the hotel unless in a taxi as it is perched on a cliff side. This place needs a complete overhaul and until such time I seriously suggest you think twice before even considering this for your holiday. Its motto, "for a truly relaxing holiday" is a total disgrace. If you want to waste your money and dismiss the above then go but I can assure you, you will reflect on this review and wish you had taken notice.
- Advice: Your expectations will be totally flawed. Go elsewhere that is genuine and actually cares.

Just returned home from the Montana Pine and wish I was still there, what can I say, its fantastic, Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, fantastic service. Not for the very elderly or disabled as it is quite hilly. The staff were fantastic, especially with my two little uns age 2 and 5. Taxi rank just outside complex, but a bus runs to Olu Deniz free of charge, or you can catch a dolmus (bus) a bit crowded though. I would book tours in Hisoronu town as it is alot cheaper than booking through the tour operator and they are excellent. Would I return to Olu Deniz, Definetly, I would go back tommorow if I could. 10 out of 10.

I read the reviews on this site, prior to booking one week at the Montana Pine, through Portland Direct. I was not disappointed. The Hotel has a wonderful aspect amongst the pine trees. There are wonderful views over Olu Deniz from the Lycean Walk. The buses/taxis are excellent value, and there is a complimentary bus to the beach at 3 set times morning/afternoon. Our room was very comfortable, and the gardens which surround the Hotel are kept in a pristine condition. It is a quiet location, which suited us, but you are within easy reach of the nightlife. The food was plentiful and varied, and the waiting staff were very attentive. We did the early check out offered by the tour rep, and this was a wonderful, full day. From a visit to the carpet making shop, visit the mud bath, lunch, a river cruise and to see a wild turtle in the lagoon- 3 hours to unwind at a hotel before check in at the airport. We are looking to book for 2009.

The worst feature at the Montana Pine Resort is the accommodation. It's fine if you are assigned one of the valley rooms but it seems package deal customers have little chance of this. We visited September/October and had a room deep in the woods at the back of the complex. It was dark, dank and the sun did not penetrate at any time during the day. For a four-star hotel the standard of wooden chalet - shack some would say - is unimpressive. The food was generally good though, apart from the sweets table, no better than many hotels we have visited, while the hotel location was a little remote but served by a bus to and from Olu Deniz three times a day - the terrain was too steep to realistically walk. The hotel operates a no-cash policy through a card system which presented problems and we ourselves suffered an unfortunate incident which took five days and two meetings with the general manager to resolve. Generally we enjoyed our stay at the Montana Pine but would query whether it warrants Platinum status.

Stayed in the montana pine resort in june 2008 and i can honestly say it was faltless!
When we arrived at the hotel they took our luggage straight to the room and had a refreshing drink waiting for us at the reception desk, which was much needed.
The rooms are lovely and are cleaned everyday. The hotel is half board and the food was gorgeous, lots of choice at breakfast and the evening meals were lovely! Two nights a week they have a turkish and a meditteranian bbq by the main pool which is all lit up with candles and looks stunning! A great choice of food and desserts were on offer. There are three pools which are never too busy and the staff who work there are so nice and friendly! The scenery from the hotel is fabulous and feels like your in the middle of nowhere, but your only 2 minute taxi ride into hisaronu and the bars and restaurants! They have a bus going to olu denize beach everyday which takes 10 minutes and it is absoloutly gorgeous. This is one of my best holidays and will be definately going back there, really recommend going to turkey it is beautiful!

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Montana Pine Resort. We booked direct with the hotel and they provided excellent additional services - free airport transfer & free use of safe. The hotel was beautifully located away from it all in the hills yet only a short taxi/dolmas ride away to Hisaronu and Olu Deniz.Food: Quite samey but a good variety none the less and the desserts are what took away my figure ! amazing.Rooms: We stayed in Mountain room, had a great view from our balcony, very clean, spacious and a nice bathroom.Gardens & Pools: Beautifully maintained and very clean.I read other reviews about wasps and was quite put off by that - but ensure you sit inside and eat around the pool after sunset and you wont be bothered by them, only a minor irritation so dont let this put you off.Lastly the Montana Pine boat trip - if you can get a place on it I would highly recommend it, we had a fantastic day and it was max 12 people so not crammed on like most boat trips. Food, fun and plently of sun!We will be returning next year hopefully. 10/10 overall! I can see why Montana prides itself on returning customers.

Got back from Montana Pine Tuesday morning, the hotel is amazing.
- The swimming pools are beautifully clean, with lovely views.
- The gardens are just as beautiful, there are gardeners working 24hrs a day it seemed.
- The entertainment was good most evenings, the acrobats were amazing, there are also quite a few lovely quiet spots if you want to get away from the main entertainment.
- The food is delicious, buffets for breakfast and dinner were brilliant. We had two nights where dinner buffet was around one of the pools and they were just lovely. The pool side cafe/restaurant serve a delicious lunch menu too.
-The staff are wonderful, all very very friendly. It was amazingly clean everywhere.
The whole resort is just as beautiful as the photos plus more.
Our room was lovely, although we found in our courtesy room on the last day that the Valley rooms are much smaller than the Moutain rooms which we had, but still nice.
One fault I would have, and to warn any future holiday makers, is the mini bar. It is very misleading as it could appear that you are purchasing two items of something, i.e. two bottles of coke, or two cans of fruit juice, for 3.50 Lira but that is the price individually and it is not made very clear.... But the only fault I have.
The hotel is amazing and I would definitely go back, it was beautiful.

Fantastic, Booked the hotel directly by e-mail and was met at the airport-private transfer by the hotel included in the price. Relaxing holiday, accommodation was superb- ask for a mountain room with large balcony. I cannot fault this hotel, the staff were fantastic, accommodation brilliant, food fabulous, swimming pools (3) great, the gardens were out of this world. Can highly recommend the Montana you will not be disappointed. If you want the beach there is a courtesy bus 3 times a day to take you and collect. Taxi's outside to take you into Hisaronu costing approx £3.00. I can highly recommend the boat trip, its excellent. They only allow a maximum of 12 people on the trip. You are collected at 9am after breakfast taken to the boat, where the crew take you to wonderful inlets where the sea is so clear and you can swim. They cook a meal for you and drinks are available. Its a full day and you are then picked up and brought pack just in time for the evening meal. Will definitely be returning. The Montana Pine Resort is the best I have ever stayed in and should be 5*.

Went to the Montana Pine for a week with my girlfriend at the start of September, totally first class, the rooms are of a very high standard and the resort facilities superb, food was served buffet style and excellent throughout, the frequent room attendance service was fantastic.
Nb: Check out the Sunset Bar which has the most fantastic views.
The only minus point which is why it gets 9/10 as opposed to 10/10 was the waiting staff, who tend to move at a glacial pace during breakfast and dinner, however I think this is more to do with Turkish culture than poor service.
The day trips organised by First Choice were excellent, visit Saklikent Gorge (its amazing), try and check out the ancient city of Tlos and a trip to the village is Uzumlu is also worthwhile to soak up some local culture.
Don’t expect a great "culture fest" market at Fethiye as it’s mainly all fake designer rubbish, however a stroll along the harbour and some fresh seafood lunch is well worth it.
Will certainly be back at some point in the future. Highly recommended we had a great holiday.

We stayed at this hotel last year and it was fantastic, possibly one of the best hols ever to Turkey. I could not fault this hotel in any way.
The only downside is that if you want to go into Hisaronu at night you have no choice but to get a taxi there & back. The road to the hotel is in total darkness you could not see your hand in front of you.
I promise you a fab time at this hotel.

The hotel was in a very beautiful situation with very well looked after gardens which were a joy to walk around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic for a 'platinum' rating. Food was more like 3 star - no real choice of fruit (never been to a hotel which never had a banana on the fruit table)and never had any icecream. The bathroom was probably the best area in the bedroom which got absolutely no sun and we had to put the heating on at some part of the day even although it was 24 degrees outside. Particulary disappointed that not one of the 3 pools was heated. Do not go to this hotel in October as they start running everything down - no decent entertainment - removal of cushions from leisure areas - lack of choice of food in the dining room - on the last day there was no coffee and no honey available.
