These comfortable, no-nonsense units are perfect for a short stay as part of a flydrive or tailor-made itinerary. All rooms are non-smoking with cable TV, heater, 2 queen-size beds, sleeping max 4 persons. Yavapai Lodge: 198 rooms on 2 floors in 6 buildings with no lifts. Chalet-style non-smoking motel rooms with air-conditioning, in-room coffee makers and refrigerators, and 2 queen-size beds. Rooms with king-size bed are available on request. Main Lodge features a buffet-style cafeteria and gift shop. Maswik Lodge: 160 rooms on 2 floors in 12 buildings with no lifts. All with ceiling fan. Main Lodge has buffet-style cafeteria, gift shop, sports lounge bar with big screen TV, pool tables and darts.

We arrived at the Grand Canyon rather late after a long drive from Las Vegas. We had never been to a USA national park and never realised that you needed to buy a pass on the gate.

We were a little concerned about our booking at this lodge as there are some critical comments on other sites.

In the end we needn't have worried as the room we had was more than adequate.
