me and 11 friends were on a 18-30 holiday... and if you are doing the same, go to elga! for families and couples this is not the hotel!!! There is constantly music by the pool during the day and our reps play pool games or there are pool paties... we were constantly... more

This hotel was the worst I have ever been in. In the 40 something degree heat there was no air con whatsoever, and we had our towels and sheets changed once during the week we spent there. As well as the dishes being dirty and there being limescale on the taps and showers... more

The Elga has to be the most amazing place to stay in Kardamena!! Three of us went in September so it was low season, but it was still AMAZING! Butch the legend with his crazy cocktails! The rooms are really basic but what do you expect for an 18-30, plus it's all you need!... more

First of all don't read any of the reviews from over a year ago as Elga has got a new pool and it is amazing! We went with 14 of us and had the time of our lives. The location is perfect walking distance from everything so no need to waste money on a taxi to get anywhere.... more

Poor accomodation and overpriced, didn't spoil great holiday! from pinkpurplejohn
I stayed at the Elga apartments with 3 friends in August 2005, the weather was great, nightlife fantastic and overall good holiday, but beware.... The Elga is your below standard Greece block of rooms with dirthy floors, 1 set of towels (for the whole week!) and 1 broken bed, a balcony door that did not lock, and 2 ripped sheets which we pointed out at first and they still tried to charge us for. This hotel makes its money by taking deposits and never returning them, they charge you for dirty towels, and any marks on the floor, anything that has been moved (or cleaned!!) The water is solar powered so unless you feel like having your evening shower at 5:00 in the afternoon it's freezing cold, and it's one of those great showers where you have to hold yourself about your head as there is no stand. No security to the hotel, we saw people taking up to 8 people in their rooms, and also the brochure doesn't mention the hotel dog, a real animal yes, and it sleeps in the reception area and barks all day. Surprisingly we didnt have a bad holiday at all and only used the rooms when we had to!
