Transfer time was around 3.5 hours which wasnt as bad as it sounds, probably a bit worse on the way back, as you just want to get home. The coach does stop for around 20 mins both ways.
All in all, for the price, this was a fantastic holiday. Great for people who have never skiid before, it was my first time, however dont be put off if you have previously. There were many people there who said they have been going to Brasov for years and when we were there, the Austrian ski team were practicing.
All the staff are very polite and friendly, especiall they chap on the door at the Poiana, and our instructor Radu.
The food at the hotel was fab, I am not usually a fan of all inclusive, but I wasnt let down here, and the free skol was also an added bonus.
The rooms were basic and clean, nice size, some had balconies etc.
It is so cheap in Romania, when you get back to the airport, it really hits you. Your talking less than a couple of pount for every day stuff. Overall for the week I spent less that £100.
If you dont fancy skiing or snowboarding, theres also pleanty to do. Walks, excursions and general messing around in the snow.
I would definately return, was a great holiday.
If you get to, buy the dvd off paparazzi, also, the night out at the end is a definate must.!

This was our second ski holiday having previously been to Bulgaria. The snow wasn't fantastic which resulted in us being stuck on the nursery slope for most of the holiday. Our instructor Aaron was excellent though and we quickly progressed from snow plow. The 3 days we had on the mountain were good, although the slopes were very icy. We felt that this resort would only be good for your 1st or 2nd time skiing as the range of slopes was not massive or particularly challenging.
The hotel was basic but clean, the food was terrible although we did expect this as the holiday was so cheap so we made the most of it. Lunch on the mountain was good. We needed very little spending money as all drinks were included and eating out was cheap.
We would not go back to this resort because of the limited ski area, bad snow record (our friends went March 09 were on the nursery slope for the entire holiday) and standard of food/accomodation... the ski school is excellent though.
