Me my husband and 6 year old daughter stayed there for 2 weeks this year.
Very clean hotel, staff friendly, pool lovely but not many sunbeds.
We stayed in a studio which was on the top floor and was really big with a lovely bathroom.
The only thing which might be a problem for some people would be the steep hill that the hotel is on.

The vistamar hotel was excellent. Although it was as other comments say, on the way out of the resort it is very close to Shops, Pubs, restaurants and Beaches. Cheap Taxi to get to the Peublo Section and the main centre.
The only complaint I had was that we didn’t have a balcony, well we did but it was tiny but that was because we had a studio apartment.
So if you are booking this place try to select a room rather then a studio.
The place was clean and fabulous in all other aspects!!

This hotel/apartment was really nice and clean and our room was modern and large.
The location of the hotel wasn’t too good, it is on the way out of Benalmadena towards feungerola.
If you know the windmills roundabout, it is the roundabout after that plus a little further on. Also the steep bank up to the hotel would be no good to anyone in bad health as it was so steep.
Taxis into the centre were about 9 Euro each way.

Vistamar was a lovely complex. The staff are helpful and friendly. Wide choice of food and entertainment. 2 mins from beach, 5 mins from shops and restaurants bars.
I would recommend the Vistamar for young families, very luxurious. Great pool and safe for kids, there were 7 of us and we had a great time.

Difficult to be too critical of the accommodation. It was very clean and well maintained. The rooms had Air-Con and all the necessary cooking facilities and the pool was fine. There just seemed to be something missing. The holiday makers where a mixture of Brits, Irish, Spanish and German and the Pool Bar, which I normally find a great meeting, place sat redundant most of the time. There is a very cheap Supermarket just 200 yards from the hotel (turn right past Burger King) and the Ha'penny Bridge Irish bar was great. Won't be returning to Benalmadena as the resort looks very tired and in comparison to are other previous hols (Las Americas, Puerto Rico, Albufeira) this one was a bit of a disappointment.

The hotel lives up to its rating. Although some of the facilities can be upgraded (e.g.) the provision of better entertainment network etc. No complaints about the foods and service. We are extremely pleased with that.
Responsiveness of the staff is excellent, especially to children’s needs. Definitely family friendly.
Location is very convenient. Transport out to the town for food and shopping is very reasonable so it gives us a variety of doos choice and activities. Great for people with kids when you need fast food!

Excellent service and food. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is extremely professional and friendly. They do speak English as well. Towels are changed daily, and the rooms are cleaned every day. You cannot fault this hotel, it is almost perfect.
The only snag is the lack of more TV-Channels, but they are working on it to get the equipment installed. Location is very convenient as well for those who do choose self catering. A Burger King is 3 minutes away, and a German Supermarket "Plus" right next to it. It is very well stocked and good value for money.
I will certainly go there again next December. I would not dare to go to Benalmadena during the High Season. The Vistamar is highly recommended

This hotel was great. I went with a group of 12 girls and we were all perfectly happy with the facilities. The rooms were very clean. We had the odd technical fault in our room, but we phoned reception that were all very helpful and an engineer came to our room immediately to rectify the problem. The area is superb for all amenities, as you are within easy reach of the beach - across the road, and the nightlife of 24hour square and the marina is a short taxi ride away which only cost a couple of euro.
We cannot wait to go back again next year.

I booked an apartment for 3 in Benalmadena, however this was later changed to 4. On arriving at our hotel I asked for an upgrade to a room for 6 because my father, son, daughter and I would have found it cramped. Unfortunately they were taken however they did give us a bigger room at no extra cost, which had a twin bedroom and two fold out beds in the living area.
The rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The kitchen area was equipped with all you could possibly need though we never used it because it was cheap to eat and drink out. The evening entertainment was not up to much but if all you want is peace and quiet then April is the best time before the season starts getting under way. There were no crowds and the weather was similar to a June in England with sun and occasional rain. There was a pool, which my daughter loved. However it’s not really for children. There was a children’s room which had a pool table and 2 computers but nothing else.
We went to Gibraltar on a shopping, dolphin cruise and tour of the rock. A word of warning the day is too short to do all three. We only had an hour to shop not long if you’re like me and love looking for bargains.
Benalmadena itself was clean and the Marina is a good place to relax at night with lots of restaurants and bars. The people were friendly and if like me you cant speak a word of Spanish not to worry English is spoken every where. The buses were frequent and there are many taxis, which were cheap. A good and relaxing holiday for any one just wanting to get away but not really for people who are looking for lively nightlife.

Have just returned from this hotel after a weeks stay. Found this hotel to be very noisy at night I.E people coming and going in the early hours with no regard for others. There is no carpeting in this hotel, which only heightens the overall noise level. Food was not on a par of other 4star hotels in the same resort over the years, will definitely not be returning to this hotel. Nice building, very clean and new.........

Lovely hotel nice and clean, plenty clean towels and beds changed very often. Rooms were nice and big; the pool was nice and clean but not many sunbeds.
Didn’t think much of the food in the bar (pizza cold with tomatoes sauce topping). Staff friendly English speaking.
If you want a trip out go to Tivoli market 9am on Tuesday get a taxi from reception only costs a few Euros, across the road from Tivoli market is the cable cars (nice coffee in the cafe their) also Tivoli world amusement park but the park doesn’t open till 7pm.
Also there is a big shopping centre not far only a couple of Euros called the carafore you can get everything there. If you want to eat Chinese you must go to a restaurant called the watermargen it’s further along the coast just off the main street on the right hand side next to the triton hotel Fab food, really cheap but clean and friendly the Mongolian lamb is mouth-watering.
