Embassy Suites Hotel

I was in Orlando from 7/9/04 to 7/15/04. I stayed at the Embassy Suites for 2 nights. I had originally planned to stay there 6 nights but left earlier. The noise from the video room and slamming of door kept our son up even though we were on the top floor. I think any noise is magnified from the altrium style hotel. The room was very nice and large. Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Embassy LBV. While the complimentary breakfast and convienient location were a plus, I really can'y say anything else good about the hotel. Our first room reeked of a terrible moldy stench that almost knocked you over as soon as you walked in. It was unbearable and I asked to be moved. We stayed at the Embassy last August (2003) for 4 nights. The hotel layout and amenities are similar to other Embassy Suites. The 2 room suites are great for families since the kids can sleep in the sofa bed and the parents in the bedroom. The soundproofing is pretty good. The swimming pool has an indoor/outdoor section which my son enjoyed. It's pretty clean and uncrowded when we went. The breakfast buffet is below par for other Embassy suites. We booked this hotel on line through a major travel site. I looked at the website and at reviews for the hotel and thought it was a great deal. Well, I suppose it wasn't bad for what we paid, around $100 a night for 2 adults and a teen, but I was expecting more from Embassy Suites, a hotel we've stayed at before and been very impressed with. I stayed here with my wife and 3 boys aged 8,6 and 4 for two weeks at the end of may/beginning of June. We decided to book a suite overlooking the pool, which cost a bit extra but is definitely worth it for the view, balcony and less noise. We booked on line on the embassy website and paid just over $100 a night. The room was nice, clean and spacious enough for the 5 of us. We planned our visit to Walt Disney World about two weeks before Memorial day weekend. We were looking for a nice clean place to stay which would be close to the theme parks, would provide transportation to the parks, and a place where I could bring our 20 month old daughter and my mom with us. My stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Lake Buena Vista was wonderful! My only regret is that it was for only one night as this was a business trip. While the room was free, I would gladly pay to stay there again! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Everything was so clean and the linens were very nice. The entire inside of the hotel was just beautiful. I cannot wait to go back!

Very Impressive! This place is great for families. I would go back again. Staff: All were very friendly and helpful and responded to our requests quickly. When we left, my daughter discovered that she left her artist pad with a year's worth of drawings so when we returned and inquired, they were very helpful and found it in a matter of minutes! we just got back from orlando and stayed at the embassy for 4d/3nights. the GOOD: 'free' breakfast every morning was decent. there were 2 lines; one was 'made to order; you had to wait 10-30min depending on if it was really busy (get there before 8:30am). the other line was the typical breakfast buffet with scrabled eggs, toasts, waffles, small pancakes. much faster, but probably not as good. if you're not too picky and have kids, use this line. you can get in and out of breakfast fast so you can go to your destination park... more

Just returned from 6 nights at this hotel. First the good stuff: location excellent. Very close to Downtown Disney. Good shortcut to the parks without having to get on I-4. Also, it's just off the main road enough to keep it somewhat quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Pool water very warm, which was great in the morning when it is only around 60 degrees outside. Rooms were pretty good size and nicely equipped and grounds outside were attractive and clean.
