Stayed here 14th to 28th August 2010. I would definitely recommend. When we last visited florida we had a villa and felt very isolated. We had a 3 bedroom apartment and some nights after a hard day at the theme parks we just came back and played in the pool and chatted to... more

We stayed at this hotel Oct 2008. We were a family of 8. 4 adults in one room and 2 adults and 2 children, aged 4 and 10 in the other. The first impression is that it is a high rise block. However that is just not the case. The hotel is in such popular demand they have... more

Stayed at this aparthotel in August and it was brilliant. At first sight it looked like a load of high rise flats but inside was a different story. The accomodation was really good and I would recommend it. We stayed in a 3 bed/2bathroom apartment and it was massive with... more

This resort was still under construction when we stayed there, it was allocated by our tour operator. I'd check what has been completed before booking to stay here as not all the facilities were operational when we were there. The Irish bar opened late June 07 but the main... more

Good place and good value
Three couples stayed here for 7 November nights in a 3 bedroom/3 bath. Units are spacious, well decorated ant only 11 months old. Everyone had a bedroom and bath, full kitchen and two bedrooms had a large jucussi bathroom. Pool is small given complex size. Small store in complex is expensive. Front desk service is ok, not bad. Price was great using an Orlando magic card---$139 nightly. Would stay here again. Location is near Disney World, about 15 minute drive to parks parking lots.
Great place but thin walls!
We spent 5 nights here at the start of October. The staff were all very friendly and helpful apart from one guy who wan't really interested when I complained about noise from next door. When we arrives very tired after a nine hour flight we were upgraded to a 3 bed 3 bath Apt. The apartment was beautiful and very spacious with everything you could want, apart from wine glasses! We didnt take the maid service and just washed our towels. The pool was a fine size and nice for a dip at the end of the day. There are towels there in a metal locker, we found this out for ourselves although I am sure if you asked at the reception they would tell you this. Staff were always happy to open doors at night and greeted us every time we came in at night. My only complaint would be the fact that the walls are very thin. On our second night I was kept awake by the people next door who were out talking loudly on there balcony till late and then went in to the jacussi and I could practically hear every word said eventually after nocking on the wall they were quiet but it was a pain given the jet lag I had. Luckily they checked out the next day. Although it is lovely having the jacussi you can really hear them being used in the other rooms I think even above or below. Nice place but think twice if you like your peace and quiet. We were only using it to relax at the end of long days and get our heads down, but in order to do this you dont want to hear eveyone else.
a great place and excelent value
Steyed here with 4 adults and 2 small children for a week Oct 4-11 and loved it. Were on the 8th floor and could see Disney fireworks at night. Less than 5 minutes from the parks. Pool was clean, outdoor jacuzzi stocked with towels. Staff was wonderful-would run out and open the door when they saw us carrying in sleeping children every night. Ray was especially helpful and friendly upon arrival at 2am. Store was expensive, but great in a pinch. They only sold the USA Today newspaper, had to go to gas station for other papers. Irish pub to open on the 1st floor soon. The character outlet store (behind the condo) was great! Stuff from the Disney park gift shops at a quarter of the price. Got great sweatshirts, hats and t-shirts. Merchandise is always arriving, as they had different things the 2 times we went. Exit the gate at the hot tub in the pool ara, and it is a few steps in front of you. Didn't get maid service-washed towels and left the trash outside the door, where it was promptly picked up. Would stay here again and recommend it highly.....
Great for large families
Just stayed four nights from 10/5-10/9, two families travelling together. This resort looks like a big condo/timeshare complex in the making. The drawings in the lobby showed plans for over a dozen buildings. Right now, 2 are finished. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially if you are travelling with a lot of people. Positives: A lot of space. Plenty for 4 adults and 4 kids. NIce, large bathrooms. A master bedroom (1king) and small bedroom (2 twins) on one side, another master bedroom (1 king)on the other - offers good privacy. <> A good value. We booked the 3 bedroom through Expedia which gave us the first night free. The bill was $676 split between 2 families. Was able to save by eating breakfast at home <> The amenities in the room were nice - jacuzzi in 2 rooms, t.v. in every room, including a 55" (you don't see that too often) in the living room, full kitchen with utensils and cookware, and washer/dryer. <> The building is relatively new. <> Close drive to the Disney parks. <> Close to outlets. Super 24hr. Wal Mart (with supermarket) about 1/4 mile away. Negatives: The staff could be nicer. Was rude when asking for directions - Do not confuse yourself with the 2 outlets. This hotel is not behind the outlet you see off I-4. <> No housekeeping service. They give you a few towels, like a hotel, but you need to pay $40/day for housekeeping. We washed the towels. <> Bad views. On one side, you see the back of an outlet center, on the other a construction site. Not the type to spend my vacation in the hotel during the day, but don't mind seeing some trees (being from New York) <>Small pool. No towels. Same views also. <> Tried to throw out garbage in the trash room at the end of the hallway, but it was locked. Called and they told me to just leave it at the trash room door. The next morning, we were greeted with a bag of trash that the room across from us left outside their door. <> Close to outlets, if you know what I mean. Directions from I-4: -Get off at Exit 68. -Get on 535 East. (make left if coming from Orlando, right if coming from Tampa) -Go straight about 10 minutes (varies depending on lights) until you see a big video screen at the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet Mall. -At the video screen, there's a light, make a left. -Go straight, it's behind the loop at the fountain.
Too Secluded
I found it on the website discounthotels. Celebrity Resorts to see a Timeshare there, but we would be staying at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. The price was $266 + tax for 5 days and 4 nights for a 2 bedroom and 2 bath. We had a party of 6 (3 couples) the couch pulled out to accommodate all of us. I think there were only 3 rooms filled when we were there. Its out of the way, where we really wanted to be, but we gave it a shot. I should of asked about the second bedroom, it had 2 twin beds and my husband and I slept apart. The dresser in the second bedroom, the bottom drawer always was stuck and the second bathroom, when you turned on the light the fan automated came on and it was very loud!! In the master bedroom, very nice but the toilet seem to clog up, had to call maintenance. The safe in master bedroom wouldn't open, we had to call someone up. We had 3 key passes for our room and they wouldn't work, had to keep getting new ones all 3 of us, 2 nights in a row. There is a small party store on the ground level, very expensive. No restaurant. Pool is between the two buildings, very clean, but on the cold side. The sun is blocked by the two buildings. Alot of noise outside. They are building an addition just across the parking lot. Staff was very nice! It looked like only 4 people work there. We never saw anyone staying there when we were there, other than some of the guys from the constuction site across the parking lot. Too secluded, had to drive. Really no Big complains, just with the discounthotels, we were promised 4 free tickets to Universal Studios and 2 more tickets at $59.00 each, since there were 6 in our party. We went to see the Timeshare at Celebrity Resorts and we were told we only get 1 free ticket to Universal and full price for the other 5. Please go to discounthotels and I'll right my story regarding them.
Excellent find
I found this resort accidentally while attempting to book a different hotel online. I'm so glad I booked to stay here instead. We booked a 2 bed 2 bathroom condo, but when we checked in we were upgraded to a 3 bed 2 bath. We were delighted by the spaciousness of the apartment and the furnishings. A huge tv, a huge living room and kitchen/dining area. The bedrooms too were fabulous. Having been to Orlando 5 times before I was more than aware of how much hotels exagerate their proximity to the major theme parks, but this place could not have been closer to Disney unless we wanted to pay Disney prices. It literally took 5 minutes to get to the theme parks. Fabulous! The resort wasn't finished being built so many amenities weren't open, but at the same time, we could hardly complain for the price we paid which was about $150 a night for a family of 4. The walls were very thin and you had to pay a surcharge for a maid to clean your rooms and replace the towels, this was not made clear at the time of booking, but that was the fault of the website rather than the hotel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice but a little on the small side for such a large resort (when finished). I really only have good things to say about this place. We'd definitely come back, it was one of the most well-equipped hotels i've stayed in and very nice if not luxurious. Thank you so much!
Excellent place - highly recommended!
This place is brand new and beautiful. We rented a 3-bedroom unit for a rate other resorts charge for a regular room. A huge 55" TV in the living room, the jaccuzi in the master suite and the full kitchen made it all the more enjoyable. We had an end unit near the pool, which was a little noisy until around midnight, but hardly a major problem. Anyone who comaplins about this place wouldn't be happy anywhere. Nice large units, clean and well kept property. We'll be back - and possibly rent a 4-bedroom unit next time.
Needs Improvement
We stayed here in July and I must say that the place can stand to improve. The rooms are new but ours was not clean. The counters were sticky and there was hair in the bathroom. The tiolet also clogged up. There were four bath towels for six people and when I asked at the front desk for more towels, I was told that we would have to take the daily service to get more. The elevators were not clean and it just seemed that noone there took pride in their job. The check in man was friendly and they even allowed us to check-in early, so this is a good point. Overall I would not return there until it is run like a hotel and not like a YMCA youth hostel. If i were an owner there, I would be very concerned.
A lovely place to stay !!!
My family and I had just returned from a week (June 29th through July 5th) at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa and we loved it. Before my trip, I visited trip advisor website several times and read the reviews and was little skeptical about the resort but I insisted to try it out anyway. It is a beautiful resort and everything brand new !!! The staff was very friendly. They assisted with any problems you had and always suggested to call them with any other problems or situations that may arise. The units are gorgeous, spacious, immaculate and new. I don't think anyone stayed in our unit. My family stayed in the 3bd 3ba and it had two master bedrooms and one secondary bedroom. The master bedrooms and bathrooms was equipped with a king sized bed, alarm clocks, whirpool jacuzzi tub (the best thing in the room), walk-in shower, huge walk-in closet, and hair dryer in each bathroom. The secondary bedroom came with two twin beds. The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots/pans, blender, toaster, and a mixer. It was awesome to have a kitchen you can cook whatever you want and save money on eating out. My family cooked everyday in it. As a suggestion you do need to bring a starter pack like dish detergent and a sponge to wash the dishes. In addition, the unit came with and washer and dryer, which I loved because you can wash as much as you want. The exterior of the resort was beautifully painted in yellow and dark orange colors as you approached the buildings. The resort has two buildings and a pool that sits in between both of the buildings, which it gets more shade than sun but it is nice. There is a hot tub next to the pool area (very nice). A quick suggestion-bring plenty of towels with you during your stay. The pool area was rarely stock with towels and I was at the pool everyday. I had to bring towels from our unit and they only allowed a certain amount of towels per each unit. For our unit we were stock with 8 towels for a 3bd 3ba-not much. The resort is conveniently located near a Walmart (two lights down from the resort), a Publix and there is also a Target and Sam's Club about 5-7 minutes from the resort. An outlet mall next door which you can walk out your doorstep. It felt so nice and less stressful to step out your door and go down the street and had everything at your footsteps. Please keep in mind the resort is still under construction and you can request a unit facing the outlet mall to avoid any noise. In all, this is a lovely resort to stay and my family loved it that we our planning to go back next year. Hopefully the fitness center, restaurant, spa, another pool and playground will be finished. I highly recommend this resort to anyone.
Great place after a few kinks were worked out!
We just arrived back from our trip at the LBV Resort and Spa, which took place June 24-July 2nd. We loved it!!!! We did have a few "incidents" to work out: I had heard that you could see the fireworks from some of the rooms at the resort, so 3 days before we arrived I phoned and faxed a request for a room on the 7th or 8th floor with a view of the fireworks. We arrived at the resort at noon and they told me the day before if the room was ready at the time of arrival they would allow an early check in. However, the room was not ready and they told me they did have the particular room I requested but that it would not be ready until 3pm. So my husband and I and our three children (16, 11, 8) jumped back in our vehicle and headed to Walmart to pick up groceries for the week. Walmart is right down the street. After killing time shopping and driving around we returned to the hotel just before 3pm. I was told the room was still not ready and that the people who had stayed in that room before us had just walked out the door and they still had to clean. I asked how long it would be and they said probably another hour. We decided to wait in the lobby area and watch their tv. After an hour, at 4pm, I asked again and they said the room was still really dirty and they couldn't give me a time of when it would be ready. I finally told them I no longer cared about the view and just really needed a room. We were all exhausted from travelling all day and we had 5pm reservations at Downtown Disney and milk and other groceries that needed to be refrigerated and could they please give me any room. The young man at the desk, Chris, was very polite and helpful as well as apologetic and gave us a free upgrade. We originally had booked a 3bd, 2bth and he upgraded us to a 3bd, 3bth on the 5th floor which faced the factory outlet stores. The room was incredible. My kids enjoyed everything about the room especially the 2nd master bedroom w/king size bed and jacuzzi tub which they took turns using all week long. The jacuzzi tub in the other master bedroom that my husband and I had didn't work, so I called down to the desk but they told me they were low on cleaning staff and they weren't able to fix it until the following day. They did fix it the following day, we were out at a park so I am not sure what time they came. Also, the safe they provide in the room was locked and we had to call down to have someone unlock it so we could use it. They came up immediately when I called that morning and corrected the problem. The fitness center was still not open when we were there which my husband and I were a little disppointed about since originally I was told it would be by the time we arrived. They have an agreement with another hotel, the Parc Corniche, and my husband and I tried it but it was a 10 minute drive and the fitness room was pretty bad, older equipment, and the equipment didn't work that great. So we chose to walk/job right behind the hotel at the factory outlet stores before they opened in the morning. It was fine. The rooms were immaculate. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well .Everything was beautiful, the washer/dryer worked great, which I used a lot, the kitchen was great, although, the garbage disposal died on me mid week, but I didn't need it much anyway. The kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, blender, toaster, mixer, just about everything. The dishwasher worked fine as well which I used some. Be sure to bring your own laundry and dishwashing soap, or purchase it at walmart they don't provide any. The pool was really nice, my 2 youngest kids enjoyed it a lot, although the hotel ran out of the pool towels each time we went so I had to bring the ones from our room and then wash and dry them each time. The front desk told me they were "waiting" on towels to come in from the cleaners each time I inquired about them. The location of the resort is incredible!!! It is so close to the Disney parks, just 2 minutes away, literally, and about 5 minutes from Sea World and 7 or 8 minutes from Universal. The great thing is you don't need to use Interstate 4 hardly at all which is continually bottle necked with disney traffic. It was so great to get to the parks and back in a few minutes. Also, I have to say that the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. I even called to ask if they knew something about Universal Studios and they said they would find the answer and call me back and they did within 5 minutes. The other great thing is they have a computer with internet access available to guests in the lobby. I used it a few times since we didn't bring a laptop. There is a fee, I believe it was 25 cents a minute. If you like coffee at all be sure to go to the World of Coffee shop at the factory outlet mall behind the hotel, they have the best coffee and the most unbelieveable desserts we had ever seen or tasted, it felt like we were at Epcot at one of the world showcase countries. We didn't want to leave at the end of the trip because the resort was so wonderful and we can't wait to go back once the fitness center, restaurant and shops are open!!! Fantastic resort!
