BEST WESTERN Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel

My new bride and I stayed there from 1/3/04-1/7/04 as part one of our honeymoon, we booked months ahead of time and paid $95 a night, nice hotel, at the time we were there they were doing renovations outside the hotel, was looking very nice by the time we left. Before you book, read this! On first appearance, this is a nice looking hotel with a decent staff, and decent rooms. DO NOT BE FOOLED! We stayed here for only one night with a walk-in coupon rate of $64.99. Our room was on the 17th floor, directly across from the elevator bank. I booked this hotel through Southwest Airlines last fall and just returned from a 5-night stay from January 31st to February 6th. After booking, I read some of the reviews which made me nervous so I almost changed hotels but decided to go through with it since it was all paid for. I cannot understand all the negative reviews. Wow!! What nice place to stay!! The price was awsome for the days we stayed. The staff was friendly and kind. We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean. It was a nice girls weekend away with friends. It was so close to everything we wanted to do. Will definitely stay there again when we come to Florida!! Hats off to the Best Western!! Do not stay at this hotel, there are MANY other options. After booking on hotwire, I was apprehensive after reading the numerous negative reviews. They are all correct. The lobby, check-in, and room appear accommodating. The problems, however, began at 1015 PM. This hotel states they heve been remodeled, and they have. But dirt is already collecting everywhere. The carpet in the room was already seperating at seams. And stated service was not offered. Every night, all outlets closed earlier than stated. We did not even see a bellman until the last day. The shared transportation to Disney is horrible and stay out of the pool! The bus service stops at 6 other hotels and it was VERY embarrassing to always be getting off the bus at this hotel!

I booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with my husband, because the photos on the website made it look like a nice and comfortable hotel. Especially when it boasted it's recent renovations, so despite all the negative reviews on the website, I booked anyways. We stayed here right after staying at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. This may have had an impact on my review. We stayed here for 4 nights. The lobby was clean and bright. There is a small store with forgotten items and a Disney Store. The check-in staff was friendly. Our room was spacious (appx. 330 square feet). We had a balcony and nice amenities. The only positive thing I can say about the BW LBV is the location. It is within walking distance of Downtown Disney; and if you have a car, just a short distance from one of the best outlet malls I've ever been to. The room, while clean, was dingy and outdated; the ceramic tiles in the bath surround were popping off the wall due to excessive moisture, and the safe in the room wouldn't lock. This was our first stay at the Best Western. I got a great rate off of hotwire for $25.00 a night. Everything went great, the check in was fast and the staff was very friendly, the room was very nice and clean we were on the 17th floor. I would stay there again.
