Sheraton Studio City Hotel

We have stayed at many hotels in Orlando such as the Whyndam, Enclave Suites to name a few but this one took our breath away. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like a star. All of the staff couldn't be more helpful to make your stay the most enjoyable ever. After reading the reviews on this hotel from Tripadvisor, I was in doubt whether or not to book, but I am sure glad I didn't take any advise from some of the reviews as we were amazed when we arrived. I thought the hotel would be nice because when I was younger we stayed there when it had a different name, and it was ok but the rooms are poorly decorated the pool was dirty and they don't even have a hot tub. The view was cool we were able to look out our window and see Universal Studios. But overall for the price I'd rather go elsewhere.

Very friendly staff that put the customer first. Room was super clean. Fantastic view from the 14th floor. At $59/nite it was a great buy for the quality. I found my spot next time I'm in Orlando.

Nice Hotel, very clean and quiet. Lots of places to eat close by, and there is a shuttle that runs up and down universal drive and that will take you everywhere you want to go. We had a room on the 21st floor and the view was spectacular! The free shuttle to the parks ( disney, etc) were very limited and only went at 2 times in the morning and only picked up 2 times at the end of the day. Unfortunatly, if you want to catch the shuttle, you will miss the fireworks and light parade at the end of the day at both Magic Kingdom and MGM... more

Stay from 05/08/04 to 05/15/04. Great hotel. Great room. Great location. Only negative or plus was that there was no ice machine located on my floor. Ice machine was located on next floor up and right outside of some rooms. Not happy I had to go to another floor for ice but happy ice machine was not outside of my room. Also liked the idea of room key needed to operate elevator. Good safety feature. I would definately stay here again.

We stayed for four nights in March 2004 and had a great time. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Ramon and the front desk team, including the bellhop. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Our room was spotlessly clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We were on the 18th floor and had a great view. Very close to Universal Studios and we used the shuttle, which was busy but fine. Just had one meal in the hotel (breakfast) which was great. We will definitely be staying again. Try booking... more

The Sheraton Studio City Hotel is nice, neat, and clean. The pool and poolside was definitely the best part. There is no hot tub (we asked), just a nice big pool and kiddie pool. The pool drinks are expensive, but good. The restaurant may have been a bit more pricey, but worth every penny! The coconut shrimp appetizer was especially delicious. My daughter and i just returned from a wonderful hotel stay at the sheraton studio city. When we got there there was a cart at the check in and the man at the front desk said "This is for our bellhop I will call you one and he will be down shortlY" So the bell man brings our luggage up to the room and my daughter and i walk into the room. The 19th floor was a little high but I loved it there otherwise; I stayed for a full week. The concierge was very good at making people feel less alone during the daily "hospitality" hours..Decor was fun and the nice little snack store was handy..Bathrooms were nice and quite large. Drapes were rather ill fitting and needed to be replaced but all in all I like it there. It is a bit out of my budget but well worth the money.

This is a great hotel despite the negative reviews. We got a room upgrade free of charge even though we booked our room through Priceline. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in anywhere!! We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment there. We had some noise on our floor but security was prompt and swift in dealing with the noise makers. The elevators are quick and not very crowded though they are a little to figure out at first since you need your room key to operate them. We had no complaints about anything with this hotel... more
