Masters Inn Kissimmee Hotel

Before arriving at the Masters Inn, I had previously confirmed with a particluar desk clerk that our room would be ready upon arrival, since our plane was not landing until near 1am on 3/23. When we arrived, a different clerk was working and told us we would have to pay for an extra night's stay because we arrived a day early. To start I'll say that the beds didn't even have fitted sheets. If that would have been the worst of it, I would have been happy. I made the mistake of leaving some valuables in the room one day. About $750 of goods were taken and after reporting it to the staff, the desk clerk told me that it wasn't possible and that it must have been something that I had done. I cannot believe this hotel stays in business! The first room we were given smelled like cat pee. We refused to stay in it so we were given another room. My husband is allergic to cigarette smoke, however, our non-smoking second room smelled like an ashtray. We had to breath into a sock to use the bathroom it smelled so back. My parents room had a broken shower and the water trickle down the tile wall. We were so disgusted with the lack of cleanliness in our rooms that we didn't dare take off our socks. Stayed here in the second week of November 2005 for 7 nights. We had booked from Expedia and it looked fine. Then read the horror stories on Trip Advisor and got seriously worried about what we were getting ourselves into! Anyway contry to the terrible reports read, we must say it was fine. The beds were comfortable, the water hot, the rooms dry and reasonably clean, and all in all it reflected the price paid. We knew it was not going to be anything fancy. We arrived from the airport at the hotel around 2am. So the front desk was closed, we went to the side office & we were 'greeted' by the most unfriendly hotel clerk I have ever met!! We found our rooom and there was paint peeling off the walls, the room smelt, as it was after 2am and we were tired we slept and we had our two kids with us. Long story, but during H.Wilma, I made reservations for Fri.-Wed. due to mandatory evac. orders. Since H.W. keep getting delayed, I called Thurs. said probably won't come on Fri., but keep the reservation. Clerk assured me no problem, noted in the computer. We knew we weren't staying at the Weston, but... The first thing we noticed was that the room really needed to be vacuumed. There were dust bunnies, papers and even nacho chips in the corners, at the baseboards and even behind some of the furniture. The bathroom can only be described as "gross" - there was hair (including the pubic variety) in the tub and shower surround, and behind the toilet had obviously been forgotten as a dirty area by the maids. the airconditioning unit leaked which meant the carpet was always wet The room had a very unpleasant smell. There was no wardrobe only a metal hanger to hang clothes up. This had broken away from the wall, we reported it and they sent someone to fix it ,however instead of using new wall plugs he simply pushed the hanger back in,which meant it was still loose and we couldnt use it. 'Danger, Will Robinson!!!' That is what you will be shouting when you arrive at 'The Masters Inn' located in Kissimmee Florida. Never have I been so disappointed in and uncomfortable at a hotel. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two dreadful nights. I cannot stress enough that you will deeply regret having stayed at this hotel. The Masters Inn was Nasty! The bathroom was not clean there were --- hairs all over the floor, in the tub, and on the sides of the toilet. The walls were so Dirty that I was able to wipe the words Clean Me on them. There were Roaches and other bugs in the room. The Health Dept. needs to check this place out. Will never stay at the Masters Inn again.
