Trans Asia Hotel

Proved to be a great base for those who are arriving Sri Lanka to begin their tour.
Only 15-20 minutes from the airport, Trans Asia is a welcoming post to relax after the 12 hour flight from UK.
Hotel staff reflectively throughout Sri Lanka are the most accommodating people; all smiles and cheery.
Rooms are relatively basic, no grandeur furnishings here! Perhaps could do with a fresh lick of paint here and there.
Location is slap in the centre of Colombo so city views all round! Hotel grounds are not particularly extensive but provide a relaxed atmosphere, especially at night - hearing the tropical evening sounds. The gardens around the pool area offer a small network of winding walkways allowing couples to take a brief stroll, safely.
Wide choice of food served in main restaurant, located on other side of lobby area. For those who are fussy with foods, you needn't worry as there's plenty to choose from. Local dishes including curries, Far Eastern cuisine: noodles, rice etc. English traditional meals including your meat and veg too.
Overall I say this hotel is one more for a welcoming convenience, not one which I'd recommend for a full holiday.
