The hotel Aldeia is in a prime location, it can get abit noisy if you stay in room with street view as the hotel is on the strip.
But I would stay in this hotel again, the grounds are nice and the rooms are ok too.

We were booked into this hotel as a last minute deal and arranged to stay for just 5 nights. On arrival our hearts sunk, there was considerable building works taking place on the exterior of the hotel and on entering the lobby which was dark and un- welcoming were greeted... more

good hotel with brill location
Me and my friend have just arrived home from our stay in this hotel, after booking our holiday we read some rally bad reviews, so we didn't know what to expect when we got there. Luckily we could not find any fault with this hotel the whole time we were there, we had an absolute ball, i think the Aldeia would be suitable for any age group, we are in our 20's and were out until 6 in the morning most days, so i couldnt comment on the noise levels. The rooms were clean with plendy of drawer and cupboard space, the pool is also... more
NNeed Modernising
Having booked a two week break in a self catering part of this hotel we were forced to move into the main hotel after one night in the self catering apartment. We moved in 16 February, moved out 1st March 2007. We were offered a first floor room overlooking the busy STRIP, the main street, in this area there are approximately 12 disco bars pumping out extremely loud music until three o'clock in the morning. Despite secondary double glazing and old fashioned louvre shutters on the windows, the noise of passing traffic could still be... more
Good Location
The location was good right next to the strip. However, it was very noisy. The staff acts almost confrontational if you ask a question. Ask for the bus schedule they will wave you to a book. Even if not a person is at the desk the staff mainly the men act as if you are bothering them. It seemed like they did not want tourists at all. Rooms were okay but if there is a problem in the room the answer will come back nothing is perfect. We were in a big group and similar experiences by all. more
The worst hotel we have ever stayed in !!
Checked into the Hotel early on a Sunday morning and the only one Receptionist was excellent and welcoming. She was very busy with checkins and outs. We got into our bedroom about 2pm and we were really disappointed - the room was dusty and not cleaned properly There was dirt in the corners and the hairs in the bathroom. The windows were also smudged and the room was so dated with the old wardrobe doors and window shutters - it was just awful. The only thing that was clean was the sheets and pillowcases along with the white towels. I... more
Dreadful
No way is this hotel a 4*! The rooms are grotty. The food was awful and the poolside run down. Oh, and the noise - Great if you're on a "largin it" holiday. Terrible if you want to get away for a restful holiday. Now then, if you go out for a meal at night. Don't go to the restaurants on the strip. You'll get hounded by salesmen all the way through your meal. The same goes for the local beach too. It's a hike to get there, you get no peace while you're there, and the hill is incredibly steep on the way back. Watch out for the... more
I don't usually do reviews, but ..
Felt I had to for this one!! My boyfriend and I arrived at Hotel da Aldeia on 22nd July. It was bang in the middle of the strip so our hearts sank when the taxi driver dropped us off. It got worse when we got to our room and pulled upon the curtains. We were directly opposite "The Garage" club and knew that it was gonna be noisy. It didn't disappoint, it turned out that this club was probably the most popular club on the strip (especially with teenagers). We asked the following day if we could move rooms. We did a few days later but... more
Great if your looking for an 18-30 holiday!
We stayed at this hotel from 15th - 24th June 2006. we arrived at 10pm and were given a room facing the strip. After 4 sleepless nights we asked if we could be moved to the back of the hotel. the staff were quite abrupt and unfriendly saying that if we wanted to move we would have to pay an extra 10 euros a night! They also said that we should have realised that a room facing the street was bound to be noisy and therfore we should have requested a pool view. After contacting the travel agents from the hotel we were told that the... more
hothell aldeia
We were lucky, everyone who got a ROAD side room asked to be moved, didnt like the live music bouncning pictures of the wall (literally). Staff (other than the cleaning ladies) a mixture of rude offhand and surley. Breakfast, fortunately I like bread and marmalade as most of the rest was inedable, well Jim it wasn't food as we know it though some may have been alive. If the food ran out--- tough. It was clean plenty of sunbeds and very central, and, quiet through the day around the pool To empty the bar at night, turn the music up... more

For the price it costs this hotel is perfect. Make sure you get a pool side room when you book (a few quid extra) and you'll have no issues with noise and get a good view. Its right on the strip but thats ok as its set back in its own courtyard. We found the staff to be a mixture of friendly and rude but at the end of the day you don't have to holiday with them! The accommodation is basic and no frills, but the communal areas are clean and tidy with a nice little terrace bar you can sit out on in the evening. Anyone staying in central... more
Greta Location
Only stayed here for a long weekend commencing 4th nov 2005 for my 20th birthday. Have been to the algarve twice before(1st time, sept 04, i stayed in praia da luz which is nr lagos and very very quiet and 2nd time, july 05, Olhos d'agua 10mins away from main albufeira). As we were only here for a weekend we decided to saty central and we had seen the hotel whilst we were here in July. I've got to say YES it was noisy(even in nov) but is fine if you're like us and there for the bars and clubs. Obviously noise from bars til 4am or even... more
