My first time to Turkey and what a holiday! Absolutely fantastic.
Club Suncity is no doubt one of the best resorts in the area; the owners have gone to every extent to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Its 4* superior and am still trying to figure out why its not 5*. We where considering going to Lykia world, but read some of the reports for this hotel and consider the location its 5* star but crap.
When we first got there we where given rooms on the ground floor, which we were not too happy with. We requested a top floor room and BANG without a fuss we where their. No problem at all!
The rooms are very clean, well equipped and of reasonable size (if you want a really big room with lots of mod cons on holiday then you are a very sad person and should simply consider spending the holiday money on your own bedroom!). This doesn’t mean that the rooms are average or rubbish, they are simply very clean and comfortable that contains a min bar, on suite bath and shower, hairdryer, balcony, Satellite TV and mini safe.
The restaurant served a very high quality of food with lots and lots and lots to choose from and all fantastically displayed. Although with so many tempting restaurants near by we did go out and eat some nights but found over selves eating at the resort on the last few days again.
Their are two bars; one pool bar and one evening entertainment bar near the resorts theatre, both are big clean and serve drinks all day till midnight, their after you have to pay.
The outdoor pool is big and very clean, the only problem is that you have to wake up early 7am ish and reserve your sun bed, which do get taken very quickly! Their is also a out door kids pool and a indoor pool, which are equally as nice, but why swim indoors when the outdoors pool is being heated under 40 degrees of pure sunshine.
The hotel also has its own private beach in Olu Denizs famous blue lagoon; which is super. There is a regular bus service that runs from the hotel to the beach and their you can indulge in some free sandwiches and soft drinks or simply enjoy the warm blue lagoon. You do have to pay for alcoholic drinks and sun bed mattresses but it’s all very cheap though.
The resort is only a 150meters or five minute walk form Olu Deniz beach.
There is also a Turkish bath, message, gym, and Sauna at the resort, which is all, well looked after and good sized (BUT like I’m really going to use the gym on holiday). However I would like to recommend a visit top the old Turkish baths in the near by town of Fathiya it really is a different experience.
The staffs in the hotel are REALLY friendly and nothing is too much for them. If your looking for a bargain on any day excursions or sporting activity like white water rafting, paragliding etc then speak to Kareem in the fitness centre he walks around the hotel from 8am promoting Turkish baths he save you millions (Lira of course). Also it’s a good idea to take a walk down the near by ‘high street’ (no cars allowed hear by the way – YES!) and speaking to one of the tour operators their, Try and find Express Jeep Safari and speak Baz top bloke he will organize you a good package deal you will save quite a bit here and he is one of a very few who offers refunds if you are not satisfied. If you go with a tour operator they will also offer you day excursions but they use the same operators for most of the trips and charge a lot more.
The entertainment team worked round the clock to keep everyone busy and happy (The girls where also very good looking rrrrrrrrhhhh)
The location is spot on it’s a two minute walk to the main shopping and eating street in the area which is full of restaurants and gift shops, the people are very very friendly but the gift shops are quite pricey compared to Tuesdays Fathiya market (which is a must, you can haggle as much as you like). If you like a bit more people and more entertainment you can catch the local bus service Dormoosh (door mouse as my friend Barry from west London put it, the busses aren’t small and cramp there not bad but they aren’t exactly a Bentley either), to Hisaronu (Hiroshima as Barry says), where the entertainment carry’s on till the early morning and the streets turn into a outdoor club absolutely lovely. You should also visit the white Dolphin restaurant open from 6pm to midnight; it’s a fresh seafood restaurant up in the hilltops where you can get a great view of the sunset. The restaurant runs a free car service that will pick you up and drop you off. The owner is very friendly and offered to show us her new hotel called Oyster residence, lovely place with Boutique rooms somewhere to take the special person in your life. We where also allowed to use her swimming pool with no charge!
If you don’t have a family then try and go here when there are no school holidays. June to early July and September are the best times Iv been told, quite and not too hot. Although we did find early July very hot Hit over 40 degrees in the first week which is fine by me coz theirs hardly any sunshine in the UK. I can’t stop thinking about it and am going back next year in June for two weeks!

Have just got in from a two week holiday from heaven at the resort.
The location is breathtaking and the beach and hotel are fantastic.
We have been to Turkey before and were well used to their hospitality, but were overwhelmed by the friendliness of the locals and staff alike.
The hotel is spotless, rooms are comfortable and nothing is too much effort for the staff.
Speak to Carlos in the Health Centre if you want to book any trips or want local information, he will save you millions (LIRA of course).
The entertainment staff, Ercan, Mustafa, Deniz, Nilay and DJ worked non stop and are great fun.
The Kids club is run by a local lady (Iton) who cannot do enough to make the kids happy.
We will definitely come back again

The Club Sun City Hotel is out of this world, excellent facilities, as much food and drink as you want, and the staff I cant give enough praise, Zaffer, Mustapha, Murat (both of them), Oya, Sherry to name but a few. An altogether fantastic time only spoiled by a bunch of people from Kent who thought the hotel was just for them, disruptive, drunk, annoying and then there was the kids! apart from this we would definitely go back.
Plus we also paid less through Thomas cook for 2 weeks than a family did for 1 week.
Watch for the security guard though he likes to charge £5 for watching your cases on checkout even though my wife went to ours twice and he was not there, book your trips with activities unlimited (Elton and Natalie) you’ll get some bargains.

Its taken me a year to write this review but as the wife and I are going back to the Club Sun City Hotel again in 3 weeks time I thought I had better let you know how good this place really is, I have always said I will never return to the same place but the Club Sun City Hotel and all of Olu Deniz blew me away. The people were fantastic and the staff the most helpful I have ever met. The Club Sun City Hotel is set in the most idyllic place I have ever seen and the food if a little repetitive did its main job, clean, tidy, quiet and hot what more could you ask for on your hols. We took the turtles and tombs tour last year and it was a great day out, the blue lagoon was superb and so are the beaches. Cant wait to get back there on may 3rd.

Fantastic Hotel.....
My three 3 kids had a wonderful time here and were really sad to leave after a week.
Our rooms were of good size, clean and nicely decorated also a balcony area, mini fridge topped up daily at a price.
Free air-conditioning and it worked well.
Free Safety box’s in rooms.
Not loads of sunbeds, so you had to get sunning it up early or be really annoying and put your towels down......!
Entertainment crew were 100% brilliant, they started about 9am till well after midnight 6 days a week. The entertainers played games with them morning, afternoon and evening, also dancing and singing around the pool..."that was a laugh".
Free scuba trial lessons in pool weekly, worth a go!
The team put on a play or two with the kids, which everyone loved.... Bingo, quiz, Turkish night ending with a disco’s. Cocktails served at the top bar, but chargeable.
Spagbog, chips, burgers and ice cream from snack bar. Afternoon Tea, cakes and biscuits.
Main meals were nice and loads of choice too. Had no problems with drinks, there always weaker than UK spirits I find. Also small bottles of water and sealed!!!
There’s an indoor pool...and it’s freezing!! Turkish bath, sauna, fitness centre, massage, billiard table, outside giant chessboard, barbers, shop. Large screen TV for footie.
There a free bus to their private beach area in the Lagoon, the padaloes had seen better days and a long wait for them. The sea was beautiful and warm with little fishes swimming about. A very short walk to the shops and beach and they really don’t mind if you pay in English £s.
You’ll see lots of paragliders as our hotel was right next to a mountain and you’d see them all day long jumping and gliding down to the beach front.
Can’t think of anything else at the mo....Happy Holidays

Been to Olu Deniz twice this year. May and August 2004.
May Olu Deniz Resort with Thomson’s and August Club Sun City with Airtours.
Olu Deniz resort itself is very nice, beach not suitable for families and sea but adults ok. Lagoon as not expected from brochures. Favourite hotel was Olu Deniz Resort for service, food, cleanliness, rooms and organisation. The only good aspect to Club Sun City is that is was a larger complex and big pool. Not enough sun beds in August though unless you got up at 6.00am to reserve one!
Must do Daylan Trip and Jeep Safari. Fethiye market a must just for experience!
All in all good holiday.
