cala dor playa is lovely for young children.Me,my boyfriend &our 3 boys age 10,8&3 went in may 2010.The apartments and pool was very clean.The beach is only about 5 minutes walk.Weve just booked again for july 2011.The kids cant wait! yippee.

Just got back and what a holiday we had. the appartments are perfect has everything you need, clean and comfortable. the pool area is spacious, the beach is 10-15 minute walk away. The appartments suit families, and couples of all ages. if your looking for a wild holiday... more

fantastic time from manxpoppet
We stayed for a week with our 2 year old son who cried when we left and still talks about it now 11 months later. The entertainment team worked so hard and the children adored them all. This made us relax and have a good time too. Apartments are all great. Our aircon broke down on 3rd day and the staff could not do enough for us - they were amazing. We met some wonderful friends there who we still see now. Place is so clean and pool lovely and warm. Will go back again for sure.
Fantastic Family Holiday from Bryansonhols
We stayed at the cala dor playa apartments the first two weks in May and we had a fantastic family holiday. My children are aged 6 and 2 they loved the pool and the discos everynight. Entertainers work really hard to keep the children busy in the day and in the evening!! Close to all amenities the rooms were very clean with the maid coming round daily. Even the food was of a high standard we are defintely going to book for next year!! The Bryans XXX
Family Orientated and Relaxing Yet Entertaining from Lawsash
The resort is superb in that its not too over touristy yet has everything a tourist would need within walking distance. Ideal for families with mixed aged children or couples. Not attractive to someone looking for a wild time as there are no clubs nearby or lively bars. Hotel /apartments were clean, comfortable and hotel staff friendly and efficient. Entertainers were fabulous with their nonstop energy and enthusiasm.
Good Base for Holiday from ynot127
We stayed here for the second year in a row (august)! Rooms kept very clean and complex as a whole is well maintained. restaurant/snack bar offers reasonably priced food. These aparments are well place for the whole resort of Cals D'or. We eat in both sections of town - especially El Rancho Patio and La Silva. Hollywood bar offered all types of sport during the day and evening and hospted popular Karaoke each night. Tropical Gardens has tribute bands on each night but needs to update some of the bands playing. The beaches fill up very quickly in the morning and there is a lot of hilly sections towards the new part of town.

I have just returned back from a 2 week stay and have to comment on the excellent entertainment. The 4 entertainers Debbie, Styn, Jessie and Gidian were fantastic, they made the holiday perfect. Sadly the photos i took of the entertainers did not turn out so i would appreciate if you could post pictures of the entertainers on here. Many thanks for your help!!

I have just returned from Cala D'or Playa Apartments after almost two weeks and would like to comment on how pleased i am with the ENTERTAINMENT. I thought the entertainers Debbie, Styn, Gidian and Jessie were fantastic. I would be greatful if someone could post some pictures on this site of the entertainers as unfortunately my camera broke. We have just returned from Cala d'or playa apartments. We took our granddaughter almost 5 yrs for a treat before starting school. The apartments were spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. We went with Eclipse Direct and cannot fault the reps, they did their utmost to make sure everything well. The whole complex is so very child friendly and safe, the beaches not far away and supermarket and many shops just up the road. The area was quiet but in the middle of things. Even the kids disco was organised not just jumping around but action dances, excellent - all this from grandparents who normally keep well clear of kids clubs and self catering. Unfortunately our granddaughter had a bad tummy bug (which I have since had) and we decided to cut short the holiday, Mark the rep had us on a plane home within hours. The one point to mention is that if you require a doctor, then ask for a state doctor then you can claim back via European Health Card, otherwise it is private and can only be refunded via your insurance (the excess didn't make it worthwhile for us)

A brilliant complex with plenty of entertainment for all the Family. Yes a family location with lots of good eating areas in the area. Staff were great and we would recommend this to anyone with Children. When we were there, there was a large group from Ireland and as usual the Irish create a friendly atmosphere wherever they are. Will go again

I have been to the cala d'or playa apartments every year for the last 4 years and cannot fault it! Food is good, the entertainment good, staff are friendly and helpful. It is set between two main beaches and very near the town centre. Everything you could ask for is here, it caters for everybody. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these apartments to anybody.

we stayed here 27-9-05 to 8-10-05.the appartments are fine,the complex well maintained and very clean.the staff are polite,and very helpful.the resort is packed with loads of places to eat,there is something for everyone's tastes.some parts are quite steep,so for people with disabilities,mind find it hard going. the marina area is lovely,with lots of restaurants etc. the weather was not too good,and we did have some rain during our stay,but when the sun came out it was quite warm for the time of year.the beaches were clean and very pretty.the appartments are in a good location,and only british and irish people,which makes for a very friendly atmosphere.the entertainment was good,and varied and finished around 12pm.later nights can be found in the town.! however it is a family place to stay,and we were woken up very early in the mornings,by kids wah hahing and much banging of doors.by the same token we were told that some parents were complaining about noise at night! this is the main problem we felt here.the conflict between people who wanted the night life,and the large number of kids,most of whom were toddlers,up and about early.the upside is we never saw any loutish behaviour,even when out until the early hours.
